This is the kind of question we get when every time Bitcoin rises and falls significantly and seemingly out of nowhere it is directly associated with anything like the US-Iran tension, Hong Kong protest, and so on. Bitcoin has the capacity to grow and its price increase with or without calamities, disasters, and violence. I wonder if the possible zombie apocalypse would also affect the price of Bitcoin.

It is too early to say anything at this stage. Initial investigation state that this could be bigger than the SAR virus. But, China knows it and has already started working on to prevent it from spreading more. After a week or so there will be a clear picture of how much it will affect the cryptocurrency market and the world economy.

Surely. It may kill bitcoin to be real. Especially if the entire humanity will be wiped out by creepy walkers. The zombie apocalypse is one of the greatest threats that the world can face and bitcoin might lose one of its fundamentals to be active, we the users. Virus cannot affect Bitcoin movement because people will use Bitcoin even the effect will come wide.
Yes, you are right virus can't affect the bitcoins price movement but the panic and chaos it will cause specially this kind of virus that is a threat to us people will try their best to preserve any wealth they have specially those in most affected area of the said virus and that's where bitcoin comes in. Bitcoin is one of the best ways to preserve your money because it's very accessible to anyone and easy to use and has a hold on compared to gold. By this bitcoin will have a high demand and will result in bitcoins price pumping up. That is how this kind of dilemma are somewhat connected to bitcoins price.

what is the relationship between bitcoin and the corona virus, I never thought something like this could raise the price of bitcoin, especially if we see that in the last few days the price of bitcoin has remained stable as before there were no signs of falling or rising. in my opinion a statement like this is hoak, and when natural disasters occur they always associate this problem with the price of bitcoin.

i dont think it will have a big effect to bitcoin price . It can only effect if more holders of bitcoin has been died from that virus and no one know about thier privatekey, i mean its a lost bitcoin if no one can recover . And another thing is if there are many people use bitcoin for donation to people of the city affected by that virus.

This is a really stupid question. Do you think that people will panic because of the corona virus and start buying bitcoins, because this will keep them safe?Keep in mind that China isn't a crypto-friendly country.I mean WTF,really? Around 50 people have died so far,in country with a population over 1.3 billion. Can this be considered "many people"? There's nothing to worry about.

What comes into my mind is, people will start to use more on online transactions because they are afraid to go out, like go to banks personally and do some transactions and Bitcoin will help like that. People will start to buy Bitcoin and use that to do some online payments or transactions for buying some goods or services. And also the worst-case and I am not wishing it to happen that what if some people who become positive in Corona Virus died and they have owned Bitcoin on their personal Bitcoin wallet, and that person only the one who knows the private keys of that Bitcoin wallet. So, another Bitcoin will become not use and that probably has an effect on the supply which those bitcoins will not able to use again.
But overall, I am not wishing to have much worst case of this virus, hoping it will end as soon as possible.

I've seen almost the same question a while ago. And Corona virus has nothing to do with the price of Bitcoin and it won't affect it in the future. A health crisis won't affect Bitcoin. China is doing their best to make actions with their problems. I know it's a scary virus because it can easily be spread with different people you meet in the public but why would it even affect bitcoin? Health is different from the economy so it's hard to relate them. Does investing in Bitcoin can help them be safe from the virus?

Why do people always connect everything that is happening to the world on BTC price? I wonder if some celebrity gets married they would also assume that it would affect the price of Bitcoin, Or if a famous actor confess that he is gay it would greatly affect the price, Come on people wake up not everything is connected to the price fluctuation of crypto.

if you know TA in bitcoin trading, I don't think you will make this kind of thread, many people always connect events that are not important to the price of bitcoin even though it has absolutely nothing to do, even bitcoin can always be analyzed, so try to be a part of traders in bitcoin and learn to analyze prices and make reasonable speculation

There are so many health issues, viruses and life threatening infections in the world today, if you're to make the corona virus an issue that affects the bitcoin price, you can also say that Malaria and typhoid infections can also affect it's price, not just that, even the HIV virus we find in most parts of Africa can also have a thing to do with BTC price.
There are so many disasters/viruses/bacteria, natural phenomenon that takes lives in the world today, can they all have an effect on the bitcoin price, no they can't, and even if they do, you can't be sure exactly how they do, and it's better not to create any connection to them.

Why would the coronavirus impact Bitcoin? How can this world issue be related to Bitcoin? Are you expecting that such world issues like this would definitely affect the prices of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies? Even if the government, scientists or authorities see an online store that sells N95 masks and enabling Bitcoin as a payment option, I honestly don't think it would really impact BTC's price, like it does during the US-Iran tensions (until Trump ceasefires and Bitcoin cools off). how do you even come up with things like this? what is next, someone farts and you link that to bitcoin price too. it is not 1347 and Corona virus is not the black death in Europe to kill that many people and have any impact on price of anything let alone bitcoin.
Man, you've made my day. I just can't stop laughing about linking farts to Bitcoin! You've remind me of something. One day, a contact of mine asked me a hilarious question "Taal Volcano is exploding, will Bitcoin's price explode too?".

Can you think of any correlation? I think not.
A crisis won't always affect economic markets. The previous world war 3 commotion is more plausible idea, since when such war is happening, economic markets come to a halt and crash, and therefore it is sensible to conclude that people would actually look for alternatives.
But for this case, it's too different to affect the market, more especially the Bitcoin. First, it's still local. Second, people are focusing on avoiding being infected rather than finding alternatives to store their money.
Don't treat every crisis as it would affect the markets.

don't always associate disaster with the existence of bitcoin or the future of bitcoin. After all this is still a local disaster, and it seems they are focusing on finding a safe place to avoid the corona virus, not to find alternatives about how to secure crypto assets. There are no economic disasters and no war disasters here.

I don't think that the corona virus has a huge impact on the crypto market or the price of bitcoin because it won't have an effect when it comes to bitcoin adaptation. This kind of epidemia will only have an effect on the global economy when it comes to production of drugs, and death of many people.
