Hi people,

I noticed a lot of people selling stolen poker content on this site.

Is this allowed on bitcointalk.org??

A few examples:

Seems like nobody cares here on the forum, no DT member stands up to tag these individuals.

Conversely, people lose their shit if users plagiarize or do a variety of other far less serious offenses.

That's Bitcointalk for ya.

It's highly frustrating. I bought a couple of courses which costed me 2.5k+ and seeing them here for a few bucks... Well, I think you can imagine how that feels like...

I'm strongly concidering to notify the content creators regarding these posts...

I encourage this.

Though I would do some background research on the sellers first. The most likely case is that they're anonymous so nothing will come of it.

Alternatively, maybe make a thread in the scam accusation section of Bitcointalk, and some DT members might tag them, or create a flag warning users about them.

Though I wouldn't bet on it. As I said, here on BTT some simple plagiarism is a mortal sin, whereas grand theft is often accepted (so long as it doesn't concern other BTT members).

To be honest, it isn't allowed and there's no way the forum will notice that those were stolen contents. If I were to the buyer since this isn't a selling platform I suggest to hire a trusted escrow that's way more reliable to do. The thing is even if DT tag them they'll just continue making another account to continue such fraudulent acts. I better buy on a trusted site in regards to these kinds of contents rather than taking the risk in buying here in the forum with some Newbies with no history of successful trades.

Yeah, I get you. I did notify some staff here. It should be easy to figure out this is stolen as most of the original creators have a good reputation, a high quality website and wouldn't sell their content with a 90% discount on some forum. I see quite some forums who are banning such a people and it shouldn't be too hard to do the same here imo.
