and losers will always loser so better give it a shot at least every other day or little time daily.

No, not that.. everyone has a chance to grow and succeed in gambling, although we start as a loser.
Of course, when we are a newbie, we usually lose more than win more and we have to accept that reality so we can improve our strategy, and you need to choose the right game because if you are just playing games like a luck based games, you'll have no future on that, in that kind of game, the longer you play the lower your chance of winning.

i think you missed what he mean, for me what he is saying if you "Give Up"you will always be a loser so better try and try at least for responsible gambling.
there are luck for everyone but it is unexpected and happens only sometimes so don't chase for luck but look for opportunity and timing, also skills and knowledge is important.

Sometimes we don't really have that chance in gambling, it is just our imagination that lurks into our mind that builds our mindset that is more often the reason why we are losing so much in gambling. Instead of accepting the reality of it, most of the gamblers choose everyday to believe in themselves that they could win even just once if they will never stop trying (which is not bad) but it is when in gambling, in my opinion.

But on the other perspective of it, I agree that we all begin in something small before we go to something big that will make our lives even more colorful that it is before. We just have to try other things to find out what suits best on us.

If you believe in your statement then why don't you just advice the losers to quit totally, like they said "practice make perfect" although for you to attain the perfection, you have to be practicing rightly and that's where gambling right comes into play. A gambler that doesn't have a strategy or fund management plan is likely going to end up lossing more fund each and every day. If you observe you're losing and have surpassed your daily capital limit then it's idea to quit for the day.

If such scenario keep on repeating itself then take some time off to rethink your strategy, try again after you must have perfected that new strategy and not acting foolishly by keep on playing even when you're not profiting from the bets.

Realistically, I don't think it matters how often somebody gambles.

Few people gamble so frequently that they don't have the time to take care of the important things in life, e.g. their job, health and family.

What is more important is how much, as a fraction of the total income that people gamble. Above a certain fraction, this can be considered a problem.

Keep it low guys and enjoy the process!

interesting point of view.
above which fraction would you consider it a problem?
5%?
3%?
maybe even more than 1%?

would it be ok for a person in a given time to gamble with more than 50% or their monthly income?
what if they already have financial freedoom and enough cashflow to pay for all their expenses for the next 15 years?

too many questions
too little time to answer it.

Everything has its own share and if you do go beyond and compromise other priorities then it would really be a big problem of yours.
We can gamble but on a specific time and on a specific budget.Dont add up when you lost and secure profits if you are winning.
Gambling do really have bad impressions or views for most people which isnt really that appropriate yet outcome do happen on each
person depending on how they do deal with it.Fate is in your own hands and if you do go on the wrong path then expect the consequences.

Formely I was consistent in gambling, more than twice a week but now after so much futile trials , I had to reduce it to zero. Gambling is more than just staking games , it's very deep

You don't give up while gambling because, fortune can visit anybody during gambling. This has happened to me several times and have summoned courage to gamble in the face of lose and not to be afraid.

Am not addicted to gambling but, most of my time in gambling are mostly weekend because of my schedule. I make at list some good odds for gambling (sporting) and sometimes wrestling. Gambling is good for my likeness in as much you do it base on fun and not for quick rich issues.

You are right too many questions. I think that the main criterion during gambling should be your subjective feeling of whether you harm yourself or others by the amount of time you spend playing.
This also applies to the amount of money that you take with you for games. If you can afford to gamble for a whole day or a week at the same time,
it does not worsen your psychological and financial condition, even if you lose a lot, and also does not ruin your personal relations with your family and people close to you, then why not.

It is important to understand why you are gambling, maybe the reason that opens before you will show that there are other ways to get the same emotions, and maybe this is what you need right now.

your second sentence proves that gambling times really matters   .

that isnt good anymore if you over gamble and neglect the things listed above  . others will defend them selves and said they won but winning is nothing because job  ,family  , health is still important  . they cant be paid easily by your gambling winnings when you lost them  . this is why i dont gamble because i want to but i prioritize others more than my happiness   . im talking about my family   .

Reduce it to zero? Why you give up too early? If you lose or get nothing after did several attempts/trials, it means you need to evaluate your strategy or the way you play that games. "give up" never brings any solutions, if you are still interested in gambling, just come back and play again. Experience will lead you to be a smart gambler.
I am guessing he wants to stop gambling completely which is a good choice. It's high time à lot of understand that gambling is not for everyone. Just because a friend or someone you meet online claims that they are making thousands from gambling really means that they do. Most of them is because of their affiliate program in it.

I gamble when I feel bored or it comes to my mind and wakes up that drive. It's like the need to eat something. Sometimes you want a normal dinner and sometimes you want to eat some fast food. For me gambling is like that fast food you eat once a month or twice a month and forget about it.
I do not recommend playing when you are bored, your senses aren't working, you need to stay in a good mode so that you may think well, and decide right. It will be hard if you are just playing to waste time. You need to enjoy it , savor it, and when you do , you may have fun in gambling, like me I didnt play gambling so often but I am enjoying it very well.

You don't use your senses much when you play dice or slots.

Have you ever played solitaire? I sued to do it years ago to kill time. A very nice game if you get to know the basics. When you play a lot you can play poker or blackjack the same way.

You can be half asleep and still have the right calls with your cards. Try to play for a few days, an hour every day, you'll see how easy it becomes. You still can lose but you won't screw up because you're tired or bored but because you got bad cards.

It really depends what kind of games you play and which strategy you use.

Some people just get really unlucky and hit a bad streak as soon as they start. Others can go for months and even years before they lose to the house edge.

It's all down to luck unfortunately.

With that said, if it was becoming a problem for you, it's best to quit. Only play with what you can afford to lose after all.

Gambling is more on luck most especially in the early part of the game but the longer you gamble the closer you get to the house edge thus, it is very difficult to win anymore, even if you bet more your strategy is good once you are near the house edge the chances of winning is very little that is why most gamblers almost lost everything along the way. Gambling should only be done with moderation and only spend what you can afford to lose and don’t go beyond it.

Are you gambling everyday?
twice a week?
once in a never again?

if you gamble everyday, can you stop whenever you want or are you fully addicted?

would love to hear more on your habits here on the forum.
No, i gamble 1 a week but to spend to minimal amount a spare money for only a leisure time or whenever i want to.

Gambling everyday is a bit hard to stop. I tried and experienced this before about 6-7 years from now and i don't want to go back anymore in that kind of situation because i lose all the money that i have and the worst thing is i have no personal money by that time so to say its my parents money and i learned from the time that i won big amount of money but in the end i've lose it all because of greediness to bring back the money i doubled and tripled with an almost 5 or 6 lossing streak until i left the table run out of money. Gambling addiction is never is to stop you need a realization and discipline yourself to not do the thing anymore.

Anyways, this thread is more about time than money. Gambling a lot myself, time-wise, I came to conclusion that even if you gamble just once a week, or once a months, you should never gamble more than 4 hours in a row. With gambling more than that you become exhausted instead of relaxed, and it's bad for you even if you don't lose much money along the way.
not unless you are winning and losing continuously thats why your money are not spending quickly right?we have sometimes a semi luck situation when the bet is winning and losing evenly so the more we are staying in the Gambling table.

and if we win enough?then that is the right time to get out and find way home.

Yes, normally it's not only losses, because people rarely hunt for very high multipliers. But if you are hunting for 9900x in dice, for example, you can spend hours without hitting it. And even if you lose less than $2 in the process, you lose a lot of time and a lot of your energy, and that's not good. I use gambling for relaxation, but if I gamble for too long, it can end up being more exhausting than a day of hard work.

actually, it's better losing money than losing time
you can always work and recover the money but time is really scarce, you can never recover it.

that's why prioritizing is so important in life.

And that's why it's better to stick to gamblings that are related to you career. I probably won't spend too much time "gambling" on things I have no I interest in.
If you are a real farmers for example, it's better  to bet/focus on local weather prediction/betting sites or bet/focus on food price prediction.

Lets just say i have a strategy for gambling, i have a set aside amount from my salary that is reserved for gambling.
Weeekend sport betting is a must for me, and midweek matches too especially when there are champions league matches.

But once i exhaust my threshold amount allocated for gambling, either im in profit or not, i roll over and wait until the next month.
And it does work for me most times.

what works for you ?

I think there are no such betting markets, but it doesn't mean @Ucy's point is not a valid one. If you are a farmer, you are, inevitably, spending some money on your agricultural activities. So, basically, you are betting on the prices for your farm products to be high enough to make your business profitable. And when you hear a weather forecast, you are betting on it to be right, so that you wouldn't lose a part of your crop, because you weren't prepared for this or that weather conditions.

Since this topic is about time spent on gambling, I agree with @Ucy that one should focus more on "betting" on something related to his/her working life, and we should spend less time on betting on something we are not that familiar with.

My gaming frequency has lessened a lot quite lately. I would say this has happened because I have lessened my debts to almost zero. I remember when I was deep down to around $700 debt and so most of my earnings went to pay off the debt and hence I relied on gambling to quickly pay off the debts. But now when I can keep most of earnings to myself, it pains to gamble away what little I earn Tongue

I don't gamble often, I only do it whenever I have extra income and I make sure that I wouldn't be trapped by the desire of winning cause that may lead me to higher loss if unfortunate. Some people usually gamble once or twice a week but in my case, I don't want to end up like that. Consider me as scared but I just want to secure my savings and investment. Maybe there's a possibility of gaining high rewards if I gamble often but behind that is the probability of losing everything I've saved for a long time, I'm just playing safe.
