According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

OKCoin, Huobi and BTCChina have no fees. Dont know about the others. With 0% fee you have this massive volume.

Sorry for having to call out on you but for someone who was just viciously bashing doge bag-holders you could avoid being a bit less biased towards LTC here and not come across as a bag holder yourself... what about the simple fact that LTC just recently started trading on some of those places?

How do you know the doge people you were bashing and calling bagholders were not up as well?

and yes I hate clone scamcoins and dogecoin is just that.

I would give them the benefit of the doubt due to the "tipping" and the announced (not sure if true) demurrage-like difference from BTC which could be a genuine attempt at something useful but otherwise I would agree with you on it being just a scamcoin.

Personally I would more quickly call LTC a scamcoin than doge if they both had started at the same time.

It just came across as a little hypocritical to leave the obvious reasoning behind the LTC volume there after bashing another alt-coin.

Well, prove it if you can then. What makes litecoin valuable? Don't mention transaction speed, that would be the final straw to put you on ignore.

I believe he already made a list about that, you can read it above.
Mining difficulty is not important, what matters is the rate of inflation.

The number of coins is not important. Not even a little bit. This speaks to ignorance of how supply and demand works. Distribution only matters to communists, hippies, people who are paranoid about dumpers and people who do not understand how the market works. Also worth noting, dumping is a temporary thing until we start using bitcoin as a currency instead of merely a means of transferring fiat. Rumor has it that Overstock keeps at least part of their bitcoin income instead of dumping it, so this is already beginning to happen.

As mentioned above, the transaction speed argument is so dumb as to be ignore worthy (although with warning first, as in the other guys case). One bitcoin confirmation is worth more than six litecoin confirmations. They exist as a secuity measure (or rather, the way we use them do), and the security is measured by the network strength.

Less press period, good or bad.

If a fat guy on a bouncy ball is enough to destroy bitcoin then crypto as a whole has no future. There will always be another Karp.

Never seen any comparison on dev teams, someone will have to post a side by side.

A lot of exchanges are not included in this graph so its wrong by a fair margin.

The dev's at times work side by side.

I have several cryptos as each has its one character. Bitcoin is the original and in a sense the rebellious, all changing coin. In a sense Litecoin is more like the clean business type of coin  as it very little exposer to SR or other scams like BitPirate, Gox......
Litecoin has value because it utilises other hardware to mine it, its a completely separate industries built around it. Bitcoin ASIC's are totally useless for Litecoin and the same is true for the other way round. In the not so distant future GPU mining is done with and the market is dominated by purpose build machines, like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDK90WWh8Ck or like this: http://www.coindesk.com/inside-north-americas-8m-bitcoin-mining-operation/ So far Litecoin's Scrypt implementation has been copied hundreds of times. Cryptos are still in the early stages and there is every chance an other algo coin will eventually grow to another market. I dont really like any of the current choices available (Quark, Max, Vert, Darkcoin......).
