Its been a while eh?

The clubs have finally been etched and are ready to make their way up to Edinburgh for hallmarking. After that, they will be sent to my goldsmith for final polishing. I didn't want to post this any earlier as we had a serious issue with the laser we use which is now fully resolved.

I have some pics to show you too but PLEASE bear in mind that these cards are NOT finished and still have a very long way to go before i will be ready to offer them up. If anything, I just wanted to break cover and show these to everyone.



The ten in these images have indeed been polished  (I had it done with the last batch) and show what the finished cards will look like.




Thank you all. Hopefully we will be ready to rock n roll with the auction in a few weeks. Im not going to commit to a more specific time frame as the hallmarking and final polishing is beyond my control.

There will be an auction, it will be a fight, none of these will go cheap and Bitcoin will be the only method of payment as per the previous 2 auctions

Thank you. Quite a lot of work goes into these little things, im glad you like them.

There are a couple of reasons why the deck isnt being sold as a whole....

Firstly, it would be prohibitively expensive for a large number of members on here to buy a full deck and then only one person would get to own it.  I DID NOT want this to be the case so i done it this way.

Secondly, the fun factor..... If you are a poker player im sure you can appreciate this..... Because the deck is being split up suit by suit, people are going for strong poker hands, eg: 4 twos or 4 Aces. This actually creates a little bit of strategic game theory as to what cards you want to purchase. If somebody wants 4 aces and somebody else wants the royal flush..... Well, something has to give. Everyone is fully aware of this and its created a little side game in the auctions themselves.

And thirdly, this is collectibles. Having a one off full deck completely shuts out everyone bar one person. The cards will all be distributed throughout the community and they will be part of the trading ecosystem we have here.

I hope this explains my reasons for doing this the way i did.

oh I understand why you are not selling as a full deck - the cost is the major one. I like the idea of having a poker hand as well but there is no guarantee that one can get the hand they want so that is another obstacle.

Quick update.

All cards are now with the goldsmiths and receiving their final polish, ETA on this completing is about 1 to 2 weeks. Then i can get the auction started 👍

Cards will be released to me tomorrow by the goldsmith, from there I will be getting the photographer in to get some sexy photographs. Chances are high that the auction will begin next week 👌👌👍👌
