The ERC1404 is an extension of ERC20 which allows for a whitelist to restrict the trading of tokens until a certain date. The code for our ERC1404 is all online, audited, and open source. These smart contracts will be used to convert to native (non-ethereum) xx coins on the xx main net later this year. This is to prevent non-accredited US citizens from purchasing tokens before the main net which might violate securities law.

In fact its a less cool version of ERC20. Less features more noise. Its like a Volvo from 80s, u can still drive it but there is an inherent risk that it thwacks into a walls when brakes go off. This token standard is not manageable and offers less than what u got with ERC20. It has been confirmed that 1404-based token economics is illegal in many jurisdiction because of its jesting connection to Volvo and its unstable brakes.

Wow! This is awesome and it definitely an extension of the ERC20 token due to the security and restrictions of some country dedicated in the platform.

Just like BestChange campaign dare to pay with btc so is xx coin which in my opinion prove this team cares more about their project and intend to protect the interest of their investors, you know what they say about bounty hunters and their reward..... and note that there will be a lock up period of xx coin for every investors and that too varies from time of purchase of xx coin, so you see that paying with btc is the better option.
i do share your view on the other campaigns not included, it would have given a better chance to reach a more wider audience, but i guess the team knows what works for them better.

Is the David Chaum XX Coin a Security Token or Stablecoin?

The xx coin smart contract (ERC 1404) being sold now is a security token which is why it is not available to US persons. It will be converted to a native currency after a year once we reach mainnet. The native currency is a usable, fast, and secure currency which is expected to be widely distributed and utilized as opposed to a store of value. There is no plan to make the xx coin an enforced stablecoin but it may be more stable than other currencies because it's based on the use of the platform which has inherent, leverageable utility and performance for a large user base (private communications for messaging, payments, and apps).

KYC requirement is usually needed if the project wants to follow certain regulations of the country where it is legally operating. and because of that, they have to enforce such reqmt. up to the potential investor if he will comply or not.

That's true of 1 year locked must be criticized but that's the decision that has already taken by the team. AFAIK if the team was also getting the private funding it should be around 3 - 4 million dollars in the past.
The problem is this ico was not choosing the best time to launch ico. I just think positively about that and the team has various reasons for that. We will see that after this coin will be listed on the market. I can say this has a lot of potentials to be doubled.
The pumpers will never try to do that but the pumpers will always prepare themselves to pump the coin after it has been listed on the market. I think if you are an old crypto adopter and you might know properly about how the pump and dump group worked until this day. The product is alive and this one will be easy to be listed on a good market.
This project can reach the hardcap instantly when listed on the IEO market but there are some considerations for that.
