altcoin increase because of the hype created by bitcoin whales control other altcoin to also earn profit with them of course to earn higher than what they can in bitcoin.
Its only a hype many people followed the hype so the price continue to increase until there is a correction , which is happen in 2018. what we feel right now is the right value of each coins/altcoin  .

the possibility of a bull run this year can occur, because the price of altcoin has begun to improve compared to 2018, other than that in my opinion the price of altcoin dropped due to price increase that occurred in 2017 (bull run), so it is natural that altcoin prices make corrections and I am also sure if this year the opportunity for altcoin prices to increase very high it can happen, because I see the development of altcoin prices from 2018 until now is very good, so that in 2020 the opportunity for altcoin prices can increase very high (bull run) can occur.

Crypto market has always been volatile. And there are not always reasons for small price changes. The coin could be decreasing at the time you posted this topic but almost all of altcoins are increasing at the time I'm posting this reply. If you look at the trend, all coins are in an increasing trend since the start of this year.

When bitcoin gets a bullish trend and the majority of people are shorting it by trying to convert all of their altcoins to bitcoin because they have hopes that they can get it as soon as possible and take advantage before the peak price of bitcoin pump will be reached. That's why altcoin suffers the more

When bitcoin goes stable and they will be moving back to the altcoin again as soon as possible before the recovery of altcoin happen. But this is not always working dude, as you can see the market is still taking another factor like fundamental, news, rumour and many more to determine the trend. This time when bitcoin gets increase and ethereum are following it.

That's how the crypto market works because people are always taking any opportunity available in the market.

Most altcoins really didn't perform well since the start of the year of 2018 until 2019 because scam projects have increased and the price of bitcoin had decreased that also affects every altcoins. But i think this year of 2020, altcoins such as ETH, XRP and other top altcoins will gonna improve it's value.

Majority of the altcoins with the exception of Ethereum are not developing or giving an update to the community, this is the reason why investors are leaving them and they are suffering from a price drop, this year is a good time for them to recover, but altcoins will have a hard time because every investor are now on Bitcoin, the dominance is very obvious.

Most of the altcoins that are being created lack innovative project backing. the altcoin has lost credibility. All that you see if you look out wide are some groups of people that will just come online, create a smart contract cheaply and also role out their own altcoin. All these shit altcoins have affected the price of some few good altcoins. And even as we all know that the market cap of crypto has dropped compared to before when there are many people actively trading crypto. If some few good altcoins like ETH, XRP etc. are struggling, you should not expect others to be rising except some random pump and dump.

There is nothing to worry about, this year will be different and we still have to depend on bitcoin for altcoins to start pumping big, I think altcoins can't do this on their own, if a altcoin pumps on it's own it will be on a hype or burned supply but now it's all on bitcoin to take the lead

Massive? I don’t know. But, of course, there is hope for huge boost for altcoin. We all know how the crypto market is. It has always been volatile. The start of 2020 has started well enough. I believe it will be better.
As for the fallen of altcoins, it’s all due to shitty projects flowing around the place. That reduce potential investors confidence in what altcoin can offer.

Do not expect the wild altcoin bull run of 2017 to happen again, I hate to say this I feel it's never going to be like that again, even if bitcoin reach over 20k $$ it won't be a huge bull run for many coins, the only hope left is lower bitcoin dominance after it reaches a new high price

I think the reason people are not showing much interest in Altcoins for now is the coming BTC halving, past price actions during the halving have shown BTC price always move up and people do not want to miss out of these gains, apart from all these BTC forks that are aalso doing  well BTC is what is driving the price of most of these ALtcoins up

The main reason why altcoins never look so good by now is that investors never have much interest in them, its something they are just ignored by many as they much focus on Bitcoin. We're not saying that altcoins will collapse or anything that makes them dissolve in the market but investors are now anticipating the coming Bitcoin halving which they could possibly generate more profit if they are investing Bitcoin by now compared to altcoins.

I'm not really thinking bad for altcoins, and we also have to understand that some altcoins are dead already. We can't expect them to rise unless hypes would push into it.

There are tons of altcoins so you cannot expect that all of them will rise, as I saw the market situation right now most of the altcoins are green. The only reason why most of the altcoins are having a hard time or they fall is that they were not able to maintain their stability in marketing and development so the demand continuous to goes down the same with their prices.

Bitcoin price is already starting to goes forward and as you know that bitcoin the mother of all altcoins so what is happening right now is almost dependent to bitcoin. Once the bitcoin price goes up, the altcoins will start to move forward slowly and once the bitcoin price will goes down the altcoins price will easily goes down.

After the launch and they manage to get listed on an exchange, no more progressive report to the investors and community. Besides that, the roadmap will not be followed and most features will not be implemented, so people are being careful to invest in alternative coins
