Agree, that China doesn't need donation but still if we donate money maybe it could speed up the process of killing the virus and preventing it from spreading around the world.
Alibaba billionaire Jack Ma, pledged 14.5 million to fight the coronavirus. Also maybe we could donate to the other countries that need help that is where the virus could potentially spread.

Bitcoin isn't like the other cryptocurrency that ask its user to donate for humanity issue. I think there is some user who have done this thing and not exposed in all social media.

You may know there is an altcoin creator who spread his activity and shared on his social media account that he help and provide funds for those affected by the virus, I don't know that is the right thing or not.

Because here we will face many people and it can became a pros and cons. Some people there will assume that he is promoting his project in order many people there use and buy his coins and the other will be consider that it is a noble activity

We do really are in a stage where the country needs help and we should contribute in order to make our world still a better place. But with the case of Corona virus and bitcoin donations, I think we shouldn't just donate bitcoins to be converted back to fiats, but to buy the necessary masks and medicine that the patients have, plus, we should donate for the research and development of corona antivirus to stop its outbreak and to probably control and save the victims that is infected. As we know, bitcoin is as powerful as fiat because of its value, it is not impossible for us to help others using bitcoin.

I think that its usually catastrophic events like earthquakes in poor countries that generally usually try and raise donations and its usually organizations like Red Cross that accept donations for such events.

This CoronaVirus is different because it didn't really damage any buildings or property. There is really nothing to do but wear a mask until there is a vaccine. And most likely that vaccine will be provided free of charge when available. Also keep in mind that China isn't a poor country. So they can easily deal with this and help their citizens.

Many people today that holds their bitcoin and more coins because of the outbreak happening in our world and many people want to keep this because they think it will affect those market value because of the virus coming from the Wuhan. There is an instance that the people in china that have cryptocurrency there is a chance that they will pull out their money because they need to migrate into another country or hold their money. After all, there is a chance that the price of the coin goes up. To the people who do not affect the virus, we can help them by the use of cryptocurrency into fiat so we can send money to them, and to help buy some of their needs by these we can now prevent the spreading of the virus at the same time we help them.

It seems to me that this is a very good idea. I would even say that this is one of the best ideas that I have heard lately.
I think that in this case, you need to do all this as publicly as possible so that people can see what money they are spending on.

If someone is really serious in helping and donate, then you don't need to ask someone from the community. You can quietly donate some of your BTC stash to hundreds of organizations around the world focusing on the outbreak.

I don't know where the OP is, but other the infection is spreading across the globe. My point is, before helping the Chinese government, why not start in your own backyard if your nation have been affected by the epidemic. There are a lot of wealthy Chinese crypto enthusiast and I'm sure they already donated by this time.

I've already donated some of my Bitcoin to directrelief. I feel like I'm being part of something important as having a Bitcoin donation is helping with the adoption and the whole world. With the increasing Bitcoin donation from the community, I think the other platforms will try to adopt Bitcoin too. Not only we are helping those in need, we will be part of something.

Also to the people above, it's not like all the people are equal. We should consider that a lot of people are those below their financial needs and donating would be a lot of help for those really who in need. It's not like China is the only place that you could donate to, why don't you guys consider the Philippines? Any donation is a lot of help be it money or physical necessities like mask.

the problem is not the money ,money is enough

It is the fucking Wuhan government and Wuhan Red Cross

They are corrupt and hinder the rescue

The wuhan's government leaders use a lot of N95 masks which the docters & nurses lack of

I am willing to donate some amount to help the victims of the Coronavirus. But I would like to ask a few questions. Why the billionaires such as Mark Zuckerberg and Gina Rinehart refuse to do charity? Why is it always the responsibility of the middle class (who bears the heaviest tax burden) to make charitable contributions? I am not ignoring the contributions made by some of the billionaires such as Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos. But the vast majority of them doesn't even spend 0.1% of their annual earnings on charitable causes. On the other hand, I know a lot of middle-class individuals, who regularly spend up to 10% of their annual income on charity.

I don't also think they need funds for food since they can provide it themselves maybe you can donate that to a country which experienced casualties and if you really want to donate through cryptocurrency you can do a fund raising and buy a N95 mask (If i'm not mistaken) and you can donate it to China.

That's if your country has enough mask like that but it's a good thing to think of helping someone using cryptocurrency.

I don't think that will be a good idea, the people who send their money for donation intention will doubt is the money will be send to the victim? Also, I interested to the user above me who stated that china will be able to face this problem because their society is much who become rich man. Such as Jack Ma, CZ binance and the tron creator they will be send their money for donation, and I think that will be enough for the victim. In other hand, the chinese government always responsive to overcome this problem. like they did where they made a refugee camp that only took 48 hours and this was very impressive to me.

I have the same thing in mind. China most likely doesn't need extra funds. What's more needed is more stock of N95 respirator masks in poorer countries that are somewhat affected by nCoV like the Philippines.
The masks aren't really a necessity. It's a nice plus, but you could pretty much be unaffected by the virus if you properly disinfect your hands every time you eat. The mask is much more needed by those that are infected. Those that are healthy don't need to prioritize the mask. What those poor countries need is proper education regarding what to do with regards to the virus tbh. Fake news keeps plaguing the social media making the people more and more ignorant about the proper response day by day.

I don't need to repeat what other people have said right? In terms of vaccine development, other countries have already joined in and Australia already had some results in the past few days.

A little help will do a lot, so if you can contribute, why not? It is for our greater good that in some point, we can reduce the spreading of the virus around the world. Production of masks and alcohol to disinfect our hands is essential nowadays. If we can donate a certain amount of virus it feels like we helped our country against the corona virus. Masks are essential so don't say that don't prioritize the masks. It will help us to become safe in public during our work and socializing with other people. But it really good that governments have something to do with the safety of the people. I hope that they successfully make a vaccine so that patients can recover quickly and save their lives.

We need a leader who we can trust and in this forum we have a lot of member who can collect the bitcoin for the people who gives bitcoin to buy needs to the people who affected of Corona Virus.  Many people are willing to donate some of their bitcoin because they have a a good heart and also they have a lot of extra money.

It is not mandatory because every individual needs a money for their needs it is voluntarily only.

In this state of crisis nationwide. I think is more best if you can somehow rely on your Government action. This is a national problem but each country has their own ways to show and help those who are indeed needed some help.

People around thr globe are now wearing masks for protection and the most places affected is Wuhan China. The Government of China knows that they can repel this, and regarding funds, I dont think a big fish like them needed extra one as the whole world I think has debt with them due to their growing economy. They can surpass this IMO. No need to use some of your btc in the process.

Do you really think that China needs MONEY(it doesn't matter if it's crypto or fiat),in order to fight the corona virus? The Chinese government has enough resources to fight the virus, donations are not needed. All China needs right now is a working vaccine against the virus. All the pharmaceutical and medical experts in the world  have to unite forces and create that vaccine. They don't need any money.

The fear for Novel Corona Virus is just hysteria and overblown by social media. We do not need to start a donation process but what we need is to start spreading real information. The mortality rate for NCOV is low and if you do not have a compromised immune system, you would likely survive it with proper medical attention. And like an ordinary flu, it is not airborne so N95 mask is not necessary. A surgical mask will help protect you. But to properly protect yourself, you just need to practice proper hygiene, avoid touching your face, wash your hands often, boost your immune system, have enough rest and do not stress yourself (it will lower immune system) over the fear of NCOV.

As you can see from the current stat, the mortality rate is just about 2%.

I think it is a very good step and you might be able to combine the collection of your funds to several institutions so that it can multiply and can be directly channeled to China or if you have channels or friends in China can use the cryptocurrency method as one of the shipments funds that have been collected.

The outbreak isn't happening is some poor African country, Chinese hospitals can take care of their patients, there's no need to make any donations. It also won't be very helpful from a PR point of view, the media doesn't care when Bitcoiners donate money to anything, they still call it a tool for criminals.

Also, OP, you're walking on thin ice here - you may be tagged as a scammer for publicly soliciting donations without having established reputation and showing proofs that you are in fact ready to deliver the funds to its destination.

Exactly, I believe some bitcoiners already made donations in some other ways if they wanted to there's no need to open a topic abut it and besides not all countries were affected by the outbreak so not all may not want to donate or what. Anyhow, I think you have good intentions but lets those authorize organization to solicit donations if necessary.
