Why not we donate some Bitcoin for corona virus?

Though your intentions are good but I would consider this complete stupidity.
Funds are needed for those people who don't have any money to survive in this world.
This is not the case here. People have the money but the doctors don't have any solution yet to defeat Coronavirus.
They can only prevent it by wearing masks.

Your argument is even stupider. If they've injected a huge load of money in their economy specifically for this purpose, it means they don't have enough funds to compensate with the costs.

Masks aren't of much help - I bet you more than half of those wearing masks are wearing them and/or taking them off the wrong way. Funds can come in help for buying masks, drugs, food and whatever else is needed for the survival of those in quarantine.

Funds are needed for those who don't have money to survive but the coronavirus may be deadly to those contacting it, so they're in danger of death.

But I don't think sending BTC would be of much help because it needs conversion to actually use it for all the purposes they need money for. It'd be more helpful if funds would be raised in fiat.

this is very Exaggerated mate because there are still group of doctors that entering the province to help the infected people and this is not like the movie walking dead that the infection are very scary,yeah you can die but there are preventive measures for those entering to keep them alive.

There would have to be a very large logistics mechanism for help to arrive, and I think it could be translated into medicines for people suffering from stress and other diseases apart from the virus, I think the Chinese government has a censorship increased to 80% , it is a really very radical system, and I am sure that your funds are not added as it should be, if an initiative like this is done it should be world class with the best logistics so that everything goes well.

maybe medicine is not that appropriate for now as the cure is still not being found,maybe what they need is Mask to remain safe those others that is not infected.

A good idea but I think we shouldn't just focus on what's trend I mean there are so many other things that we could do or help,
Beside's I agree with most of the comments from the first page the virus isn't spread out on a poor country so I think they doesn't really need the help that much.
Why not try to feed the homeless or donate to some charity?
Instead of focusing on what's trend there are so many other's who really needs it.

I have not made such a donation, and it’s not because I don’t want to, but because I don’t have the money to do so. But I have seen a few organizations online that claimed to be helping with the issue of Corona virus in China. From what I have seen, none of them is accepting payment in bitcoin, they are only accepting payments with PayPal and debit cards. And if you come to think of it, they don’t need to be accepting payment in Bitcoin, like who will even have the time to be converting the cryptocurrencies all the time?

But with PayPal, the money is going straight to their bank account and they will have access to it immediately they need it. And if you want to do a donation make sure that you’re giving to the right site because there are scammers online pretending to be legit.

3 we then ask them to transfer that money to the needy or send foods and other necessary items to them.

That is a great act of kindness. The world is in great need of this kind of gestures and considering the involvement of bitcoin, we can already say that it would give off great impressions on different countries. We need to be giving most specially if we already have much more than what we really need. The only problem we may face in this is the possibility of scams on a certain person who would recieve all the donations. We don't really know but they may take advantage from this phenomena.

You have a good mind, but firstly, we have seen a lot of people who bring up ideas like this and end up as scam, who will not deliver the contribution and keep it to themselves. How do we know who is genuine about it.
Secondly, this Corona is not precisely about the poor and needy, though there is always the poor in the land. But let everyone guide his country. Take care of the needy around you with the little token you earn here and finaly, pray in whatever way you can for China to overcome.

Our country already donated a million of a facemask. Even World health organization already donated medical equipment and masks for their use so I wonder what's the purpose of the donation if it's already done by other communities?

Also, our country has already sent volunteer doctors in Wuhan, take note, they're professionals. These things could be done without dragging bitcoin into this, so I find it useless and probably many people will just take advantage of this project if happened.

first of all this is the right place or board for your topic because its related to bitcoin  .  i like this idea and i havent see someone do it ( maybe this is the first if ever ) .

 we need to hire reputable people that represents every country and transfer the funds to them if the collection was succesful and then they will only provide proofs that they already buy the coins with food and other useful items for the needy .  outside crypto , i already see many celebrity and fortunate people doing it   . its nice to see that people are still willing to help .

I will agree with your opinion ,  there are many countries now helping those country affected that they know cant afford to use so much money. The donation came from different country  medical equipment such as testkit mask and even donated money to those country affected that they dont have ability to manage that crisis alone. Even known businessman such as jackma  helping many  country and  donating medical equipment.

instead of donating of bitcoin why we dont use that to buy some goods or materials that use in somebody dailyneeds or  like ppe or mask any protected gear to our fronliner.. if we use bitcoin for donation we give us a scamer a chance to do there bad habit job.. unless you have a legit and trusted allies to contribute that bitcoin donation... here in philippines we dont need bitcoin right now we need ppe or (personal protective equipment) for our bravest frontliner...

There are lot of organizations that are current accepting donations to help countries that are badly affected by the virus. I think some of them does accept crypto currencies. But just make sure you are donating on a legit organization that will make good use of your donation. Many scams pop up  where they collect money from people for donating but ends up running away with the money and spends it for themselves.

This is one of those ideas who can't be neglected. It is a good deed for you to be able to think of other people in need. Because they really need help especially those who are in the low class. However, those who are interested to donate will also fear for the legitimacy of your Bitcoin space. I think you will need to have this reputation because it is hard to give when you know other people will just take advantage of it. So, what's better is that you also gather Bitcoin users who are of great rep. so people would be confident in you.

Yes we can do it automatically. We should put the donated funds to those who are trusted members here and give the funds to those who badly needs it, the poor countries and has lack facilities for covid patients and also who are lockdown that cannot go out to buy some foods.

I think you could do your own help just by putting your self in-home quarantine and obey policies being said by the government or the people that manage your place there. That way, you can avoid being a casualty in your country and you are also helping the government and other people in the frontlines to contain the virus. Well, all of these are pretty good ideas if you have the credibility to hold the fund. Sorry not to offend you but of course, we need to have a trusted person who handling the fund. Or we can communicate any trusted organizations like charity to collect the fund and help Chinese people out there who were infected on the nCov. But I really impressed with what CEO Binance did. They have pledged to help victims of the coronavirus in Wuhan, China. Cryptocurrency exchange Binance pledged to donate 10 million Chinese yuan ($1.44 million) to the effort.[source]. Indeed, we can coordinate them (Binance Charity Foundation) to send the fund and they were directly sending help to the Chinese government.

This statement is a strong one. We cannot just put all our money to a person or something because why if they will not donate it a hundred percent? When can just help them personally. And besides government and other facilities are not or do not support cryptocurrency so it is hard to entrust out investments or part of our investments into one. But if it gives me assurance then why not donate right? We all wanted to end this plague we are all affected in this thing. Even our cryptocurrency are going down and even the stock market is down because of this plague so lets be as one and cooperate to end this.
