Why not we donate some Bitcoin for corona virus?

What I plan is very simple:

3 we then ask them to transfer that money to the needy or send foods and other necessary items to them.

Well, all of these are pretty good ideas if you have the credibility to hold the fund. Sorry not to offend you but of course, we need to have a trusted person who handling the fund. Or we can communicate any trusted organizations like charity to collect the fund and help Chinese people out there who were infected on the nCov. But I really impressed with what CEO Binance did. They have pledged to help victims of the coronavirus in Wuhan, China. Cryptocurrency exchange Binance pledged to donate 10 million Chinese yuan ($1.44 million) to the effort.[source]. Indeed, we can coordinate them (Binance Charity Foundation) to send the fund and they were directly sending help to the Chinese government.

This statement is a strong one. We cannot just put all our money to a person or something because why if they will not donate it a hundred percent? When can just help them personally. And besides government and other facilities are not or do not support cryptocurrency so it is hard to entrust out investments or part of our investments into one. But if it gives me assurance then why not donate right? We all wanted to end this plague we are all affected in this thing. Even our cryptocurrency are going down and even the stock market is down because of this plague so lets be as one and cooperate to end this.

It's of no use now to send Bitcoin to those in need. Things were okay at that time when I created this post but most of the community members had a negative approach to my idea.

The whole world is now under suffering because of the deadly virus now and we need to take care of ourselves and our family members more than anyone else. Governments of different countries are now in action and they know what is good for their citizens.

But I hope the individuals who gain a lot of money in the bitcoin will give donations to the people who are affected of the corona virus because this is world wide problem. I was hoping that I can help but the problem is I need money also so my only share is to pray us that virus will stop spreading.

Incase they have plan this better our reputation or trusted member here in this forum will lead so the donation will really give to the people who needs help just saying.

People can simply help by obeying the rules and regulations of the authorities to stay at home because the virus can be easily transmitted from one person to another. It will be great to see people helping people in need, a lot of people are struggling because they don't have any source of income and they can't provide what they need. Anyway, I think it's a good idea since it has good intention though as you say we just need a trustworthy person to ensure that it will be donated.

Many countries and organizations have opened different chanels for donations to fight corona virus or for research for vactination. Just be very careful, there are also many scam attempts too, in such situation there are always people who want to make money on other peoples' misery.
Do good research and background check before you make any donation.

Please do not reply for the sake of signature campaign. I am serious and want to help those who need help.

It is a good idea to help those in need in these times of pandemic but we should at least separate the donations like on what country you are in so we don't have to worry in distributing the donations and converting it to the local fiat. If these plan will be broad then separating it to every country is the best option, assigning someone who can be trusted to distribute the donations to the people who are in need.

But the main problem to this kind of action is to planning on how to gather the donations and how to divide it because there are other countries who are in the center of the pandemic so they really need more donations compare to those countries who have less cases.

That's good to be honest . I really appreciate those people behind those charitable works. Like here in our country, many organizations and different icons from various industries do something to ease the burden of infected, the frontliners and even those healthy countrymen who suffer from the lockdown. Props to them but I can't help myself to become lonely a little bit because aside from goods they only accept cash donations . I hope in the future (I'm not wishing for another disaster of course) they will now include crypto, mainly bitcoin, as a form of donations.

Yes we can do it automatically. We should put the donated funds to those who are trusted members here and give the funds to those who badly needs it, the poor countries and has lack facilities for covid patients and also who are lockdown that cannot go out to buy some foods.

Everyone can donate funds to their local governments and authorities. In my country too, there is a coronavirus relief fund where I have deposited some fiat money. I do not like the idea of bitcoin donation here bcause there is a chance that people will take bitcoins in the name of donation and might scam

Actually that thought is well good, helping other people is in time of crisis is a real virtue, there are so many affected people by the virus, in a ways that there are some who can't even buy some foods because of being unemployed because of having a community quarantine in some areas. Those poor people are those who will be hungry while being quarantine because of lack of money to buy some foods. So this thread is really good to help them, but I think that there will be a person that will donate money to you because of trust issues. Especially if you are not that authorized people.

It's not hard to do that as transactions can be done with the wallet of trusted members or whoever that can manage the process. Share your
spare money if you still have that luxuries.
This is the time to work together and help those who are really in need especially those poor places who can't manage to feed their families.

Bitcoin is not made for this, it is for those who have the idea of saving, and already save for it before the storm hits.

For those who don't have this habit, they should turn to the state and banks, since state currently have unlimited money to print and give them. And this is also why bitcoin is not going to replace fiat money, since it lacks the ability of dealing with crisis, thus can only be used as a medium of saving, hedging inflation

Since every body here is in the opinion that China does not need any help, I think we should then start concentrating on poor countries like Africa. If any one knows how to contribute to the cause either through fiat or crypto please do share it here.

This would be great if we've done it earlier. Right now, we can't really do that since we are now focussed on the pandemic at hand. I don't know why are you pushing it right now but the timing is just not right. If you still want to do it though, you can just google search how to do it and where to send it. If you are having doubts, you could just ask people about it here in the forum. We are talking about bitcoin here so there are a lot of possibilities that that site we are dealing with scams here.

It's a pandemic so basically, it's a worldwide crisis and collecting Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency will just help one part of the problem, I think it's not effective. It's better to donate to your countries fund to help your country (this is just for me). Personally, I donated some of my money here in our country top help the poor ones considering that, locals here are on community quarantine and almost all of the jobs are paused. Many poor people cannot buy goods because of the lack of money so I donate. For you t's better to help you fellow countrymen, that's my suggestion.

Just stay at home and sleep. I remember the time when my mother said to me "You're sleeping all day all night you idiot. You're not helping ". Now I rebut with her and said "Now I'm helping the world thru sleeping and staying at home ".

TBH, there is no need to donate some cash or anything if you are just a normal person. Let the businessmen and the rich people do their job of donating the cash and lets help the frontliners right now thru staying at home so that we can't get affected and we can't affect other people too. There is no harm in staying at our home for the meantime so why do they choose to go outside when there is a pandemic going on. Stupid people but anyway, I will just stay home at least I help to save the world .

If in my country btc is officially declared illegal currency so there's no organisation or anyhow it’s not possible to donate but i personally trying to contributed some physical money how much i am capable to do that. I converted btc to fiat currency for these donation. Most probably these fund will be use for specially food and masks which is emergency, it’s time is community transmission so any amount donation can be help for rural people.

I am already Helping others and i don't need to donate my Bitcoin just to help others.

There is a simple but Helpful advice,whenever you see those Frontliners  in Fight against this Corona and Give them even water or other stuffs that can relieve them even in a while.

Help Also those people that in your community that heavily affected by the lock down maybe some of them are not allowed to work at home and being"No work no pay"
they really badly needed your help.

Coronavirus has become a Pandemic so that the level is no longer like a natural disaster, we do not know how long Lockdown will spend our savings. if you have more money you should donate food, masks or hand sanitizers to your poor neighbors or the nearest homeless in your neighborhood..

Donations are not necessary every time a problem comes up. Some tines precautions and sticking to experts advice works better. I believe this is what the world needs now on COvid 19 while the various governments take care of their people financially as they observe lockdown.
