When a coin is about to have a whole change and do something major (think of hard forks) than it means the coin will either go up a lot or it will not do anything special and people who all bought because they thought price would go up start to sell and price goes down.

Just like ethereum which ones were imagined to have a new sort of fork or something that would make it amazing but then failed and had to redo stuff and so forth where price went down a lot, it was 80 dollars at one point but peaked over 300 dollars which dropped all the way to 150 dollars after it failed. Now they will have another one, if they manage it properly I assume it will go up a lot, if they fail than it will go down again.

The idea of hodl is only applicable when the market is in uptrend. There are market cycle and it consists of uptrend, downtrend and non-trend or the sideways. When the trend is uptrend, we will see higher highs and higher lows where the price is continuing to increase and it is the best time to hold cryptocurrencies. I do not know why there are posts that saying continue to hold even if the market is bearish where the selling pressure is high and the price is gradually decreasing.

But, thanks to futures now you can make money with going down as well and that is exactly why the rich people first buy coins get profit and sell coins and profit as well so they don't need the price go up anymore, they can make a profit while going down as well and that creates a huge problem for us. If the only way to make money was price going up we would have been a lot more higher right now.

The recent situation was making it so hard to obtain a sustainable value, because more people played buy and sell of their crypto asset on trading. Mostly, is more eager to earn quickly without even thinking the huge potential of each coins that they're holding. With that motives, it doesn't give any good outcome but a sudden market fall back. Bull market has been frustrating, and yet bear still rule over right now.
