important for anyone, to always pay attention to any cryptoqurrency assets that you have. I hope you hold some of the top altocin in the market and especially like BTC. so you don't need to worry about investing in BTC or altcoin TOP for the long term. investing in new altcoin is far more risky.

Many people are saying that this year is ETH's year. Kinda agree with though. Besides ETH there are couple of altcoin that have great chance to bump this year. BNB, XLM, OKB and NEO are on of them. Why i choose those coin because they have great opportunity to bump hardly in this year. But i always prefer bitcoin. If you have no much faith in altcoin then don't hesitate for bitcoin. You can't learn why and what coin suggest to you by users. All person has several prediction by gathering several experience. Two people can't suggest you same same coin without top coin. To stay safe, Bitcoin is right one until halving then you can change to Ethereum because POS launch. For others altcoins you should research.

Instead of investing in the top altcoins, I will buy the rumor and later sell the fact. Bitcoin halving will show it's strength side in a few weeks and the price will soar hardly upwards. Neo and Zcash are my second priorities for investing more and surely these altcoins will follow the price movement of the BTC.

You can add Zcash, TOMO, and Litecoin to your waiting list and watch closely. The mentioned altcoins are on my watchlist too, waiting for the low prices will worth one day. Bitcoin investing is not priority anymore for me and top altcoins don't have the same ROI as the small market cap altcoins.

I still remember how NEO performed in the last bull run, i was really impressed with its growth and potential but sadly bears hit it equally hard but i am positive that NEO has the capability and it will again yield massive gains as we approach big bull season in upcoming months.

1-5 alts if you have good amount to invest, 3 of your coins should be inside the top 20 alternative coins while those two you can choose one IEO and one ICO as you there's still chance that some of those projects from initial offering can still deliver good benefits.

I woudn't participate in any IEO or ICO. It is just to big risk as there is really only a handful of projects whose ICO/IEO succeeds and bring profit for those who participated. Unfortunately, there are many more scam projects than legit ones and this is really bad for crypto in general.

As for advice... If I would have to choose 5 projects to invest into, I would definitely choose BTC and ETH with 50% of my portfolio (I know OP wanted advice for altcoins but BTC should be "a must" for any serious investor), 35% of the portfolio would go to two or three of the top 20 CMC projects. I would "gamble" with the last 15% of my portfolio and invest into some low-cap projects that could bring me great profit.

In regards to OP's question, I'd pick either $LINK, $WRX which are some of the hottest altcoins on Binance at the moment. Heck, I would even replace one of the big names altcoins with other low caps altcoins that are currently trending like Origin (OGN), XTZ, ATOM, HBAR etc. I forgot to mention MATIC.

Why these altcoins? In crypto, one of the best ways to profit has been to trade cryptocurrencies that are the most talked about. I think this is one way to identify key coins that will probably make moves. Let's not forget a saying in the trading world – " when a lot of people talking about a price level, it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy". I think this also applies to most talked about coins. This is why Poloniex trollbox was famous in the past. The most discussed coins ended up trending.

However, I'd like to leave a reminder that altcoins have more risks compared to bitcoin. They can go down as fast as they go up. So I suggest trading them with caution with stop loss orders in place to be on the safer side.

I cannot imagine how much money we will use if we want to buy more than 5 altcoins because if we don't invest in a large amount of bitcoin, we might be hard to make a big profit too. But if we only have one coin but that can have a big opportunity to increase so high, that will be worth enough for us and we don't have to buy another coin. So we need to think twice about the money that we want to use to buy the altcoin because not all altcoin can increase so high, and maybe we can buy only with the altcoin that already in the top ten coin list.

The best altcoins (in the future and in my opinion) are NOIA and TOKO coins. Both coins are traded on the KuCoin exchange.

Thinking about promising altcoins this year, what comes to mind is altcoins which can withstand the current nature of things in the world and in the crypto space. In my own opinion, I will start with Ethereum of course, because of the rate of its growth as well as the level of trust the community already have in it. Another is ADA and BNB whose teams are also trying their best possible ways to ensure they keep getting their users engaged with more and better services. Other altcoins I will also focus on is XLM, and maybe Monero, although am checking more about it.

There are so many altcoins that we should be watched right now. It depends on which field will definitely boom this year. ICO is over, IEO is almost done. The next trend that I am looking for is DeFi trend which we should watched Ethereum, Texos and EOS will likely compete on this. But if the STO trend will boom then we should watch Raven.

That is a nice list from you but I will stay off De-Fi projects and rather look into exchange tokens and coins because once the crypto appetite opens up again exchanges are going to have more customers that will buy into them with their exchange coins. I like what Binance is doing with the BNB coin and making sure that it is used as a purchase coin during any IEO on its platform. Also, Tidex is burning its excess Tidex coins to help create scarcity and value for it.

The increase in BTC prices is quite significant lately, but it is not followed by a good move by Altcoin, this is not a good sign, because when BTC correction is followed by a decrease in Altcoin. Moreover, the greater dominance of BTC. It seems like a good signal from altcoin will be seen when BTC reaches the peak, where? I don't know ... market movements are very dynamic.

Please accept the fact that many coins and tokens in crypto world depends on Bitcoin, tokens and coins that grows on their own are capable or have enough good use case that drives demand higher in the market, for example exchange tokens if you can find a good one then HODL.

In 2020, don't pay too much attention to altcoins. focus all on bitcoin and ETH because only it can be profitable for you this year. The halving is coming and you should buy bitcoins as much as possible before it's too late, I believe it will be very difficult for us to see Bitcoin go below $ 10k again in the future.
