Personally, I believe that everyone can fall into the hands of scammers. And man is a creature that can be wrong. But a beginner just has a better chance of falling into the hands of scammers, and so you need to be very careful. For the future, I want to say that if a person decided to do cryptography, then he should already understand the essence of this serious issue.

We need some king scam study. These post really does help for those people who read them . Just to have experience and be aware of the scams out there. Those schemes change all the time, but basics are the same. Just be safe out there.

Certainly, newbies should do detailed research about that coin before downloading any wallet application. I also think that before making such a download, they should have detailed information about the project too. And i advise them to read the comments for the project and its application in reliable forums such as bitcointalk.

Thank you for info.
Im quite new to crypto, but have studied a lot lately. And researched that one of the safest is hardware wallet, so got myself ledgernanox. I have backed up my key phrase under the pillow Smiley

Yes, you have the right decision to buy ledger nano x. Make a back up for your private keys will help you if somehow, you forgot the keys. And now, you can feel safe because you can prevent the bad things that might happen. I hope that you don't have to get any trouble when accessing the wallet, and you can also save many coins in your ledger nano x.

Its very simple to avoid fake mobile wallets, just pick a name of the wallet and find the right source or link on the  internet, I haven't seen the clone of Trust wallet, coinomi wallet and other top wallets, I only saw fake myetherwallet in 2018, playstore is very safe now

That's right, now in PlayStore it's very safe to download any application and to find a strong reference for wallet matters is also very easy via the internet at this time, so don't worry about wallet matters.

You can go through official websites to download any wallet you want, its not a must to download from playstore and even if you go through any wallet website you will still be get the option to download through playstore or direct link

A very appropriate suggestion, because usually on the wallet website always provides different links for all devices, be it for Apple, Windows and Android devices, that's where we can choose according to the device we use.

I believe that a very important component is the reliability of exchanges today. Even though leading exchanges are working on improving reliability, there is still much to work on. What is your attitude towards such kind of wallets? Or you are more on hardwallets side?

Greetings. From my point of view, much depends here, but vast majority is still choosing online wallets. However what I have noticed - there are more attacks on exchanges, so there is a shift to hardwallets

This is exactly what I have noticed as well. The problem I figured out - there are many pretty similar solutions, however they are not coming with something unique that would be advanced and attractive

That's true. I wouldn't say that I am aware of any truly advanced hardware wallet. But you seem to be deeper into the industry

Basically, I have conducted many researches before I've found GetHashWallet. And guys seem to be bringing entirely new standards with truly advanced product. GetHashWallet is a secured and private hardware wallet, it is arrow certified and reliable. What also makes sense - guys had successful campaign on Indiegogo. And the product is already available for sale, so everyone can try it out. And I recommend you to have a look at their website, cause there is a lot of useful info available there

but even on the web there are also called phishers that can fake the site . store or web can be unsafe if we are not going to double check what we enter or download  .

make sure you check all urls  , feedbacks  , icon , or anything  and dont forget to compare them or search them if you feel strange with what you see because that is only for your safety  . laslty , this lecture we have here is not only for newbies but its for experienced users also  .  keep safe guys . dont let scammer/hacker/phishers take the lead  .

I would also suggest they search on coinmarketcap for the cryptocoins they wish to download. It's much safer to get their wallets and websites this way.
Not really a good idea to get them through google, twitter, telegram search due to the numerous fakes that exist.

I agree with this, one time when I was using telegram, I saw some offers that will let you download a certain BTC wallet and they will pay you for that. even though I was new in the Crypto Industry, I didn't take the bait because the payment is too low in the first place. later on, I found out, that those kinds of scam is known and wanted to get your funds when you deposit your BTC.

Going to their official website is the best way for a newbie not to be scammed.
No website = possible scam. Wait for them to make a website. I don't trust google too because there are times where if you search for information regarding a coin, you may click to a website which is considered a scam site. Also on telegram that is why i don't want to use it anymore. There are many scammers out there and newbies are very vulnerable to this.

Best advice for a newbie? Don't throw your money first without doing research.

I'm sure that those who are into crypto since last year knew that downloading new mobile wallet from play store can be dangerous, well this is for newbies who just entered crypto space this year, most top popular mobile wallets have fakes built by scammers too, before you download any wallet find its website and download through the link instead

Not all wallets that on the playstore is dangerous. There are trusted apps like coinomi, trust wallet, imToken, atomic wallet and many more. Im using imToken for more than 2years and so far didnt have any problem with it. Also never got compromised my tokens that are there. Maybe much better to check whether the app youre downloading is really the app that you are looking for sometime they have been imitate by aome scammers which is the one that really scammed newbies.
