With the outbreak of coronavirus in China it already killed more than 400 people it is already reported that front line hospitals in China are not getting enough medical supplies.

Hyperchain’s together Fuxing Group, Xiongan Group, and other well-known enterprises are going to launch a blockchain-based platform which is gonna be used in fighting the coronavirus.
It is going to be a donation portal that is going to support medical supply and hospital in China.

It's nice to hear that this platform or this forum can help for the cure of that corona virus. Even though bitcoin is not well known by other people and their knowledge is just the basics of the bitcoin. With their aim to help using bitcoin to give support, it will give the benefit for the cryptocurrencies to have their name better in the world.

Whoever mines the block which ends up containing your transaction will get its fee.

The title of the article suggests a different idea. I initially thought blockchain is being used here in ways that would directly find a solution to this novel case. By fight here, it means making the donation process related to this outbreak transparent and verifiable so that the donors know where their donations go. That's still fighting against this virus although indirectly.

Transparency indeed is an issue especially in times of disaster. Well, it is good news that blockchain is again put into good use in a real-life situation.

now, the chinese government will see that blockchain technology can be utilised at any situation and maybe loosen up their laws and regulations towards this new tech. they can now test how transparency works  and how convenient the transactions would be by employing this technology. this is a good initiative to at least lessen the burden of the affected areas.

I don't think that they will loosen up everything because of this cases. Remember that they control everything, even giving warnings to doctors (who subsequently died) who went to their social media about the initial onset of the virus. They wanted to curb any information and doesn't want to the information to get up. But it spread very quickly, and they can't do anything about it. I speculated that maybe the death count was even manipulated to look like the numbers at not that big specially in Wuhan.

And I really hope that those who are putting this kind of charity in the name of blockchain are doing it in good faith. And that the money being raised will go to the rightful victim.

I'm surprised that people are finding more and more uses for blockchain. This is amazing.

Its their government that isn't allowing BTC, even the rest of the governments aren't so friendly with BTC but you can see the people in China are very much active in trading BTC. And therefore its logical for these private groups to seek donations thru BTC after all it can be sent to them directly from either side of the planet.

Chinese government is not looking for any kinda charity or donation stuff they can take care of their people, well this virus didn't started in any poor countries. I am not saying this thought is not good, people only think if there's any emergency not for those who are desperately needed. Still I support to those who are ready to help in this tough situation with the help of BTC.

This forum does not only talk about money, but there are also lots of things you can find in here different topics, and as far as I know. There are lots of people who actually do like this, which is making some charity to help other people. This is so good to hear, doing some good things for other people and using their money earning here. For now, coronavirus is spreading around the world, it is a global threat and this virus is spreading very fast, this money they are collecting is a big help to produce or support doctors to create a cure.

This might not be a problem because as of now, China needs help from other countries. Do they still not accept bitcoin even if they are now in Crisis especially in health. They now need some masks and other stuff so that they can lessen the spread of the virus.

I share your suspicion. I am also thinking the numbers are highly trimmed down. I have read at least a single article claiming that as well. Although I cannot confirm whether it is true or not, knowing China, everything that comes out of the country through any forms of media have passed through their very stringent sifting process. Anything that would put the names of China and/or their leaders in bad image will be stricken out.

Even this charity has had to pass through several layers of screening most probably.
