I doubt that the Binance coin will turn out something similar. Ethereum is an entire ecosystem of smart contracts, programming code, and a huge community of developers.
While the coin of the Binance exchange is only the result of extremely successful speculation and manipulation of the human mind and economy.

in technology owned, eth will be more useful in the ecosystem of technological development in crypto, and more in a exchange. I think both of them have their own potential, so the results will definitely be different. but for competition I believe more in eth because the need for crypto development requires a lot of technology in ethereum

Of course ETH would be a better option but if you only care about profit then BNB is a good choice for you. I have invested a lot in this coin and have never let me down because the value of BNB keeps rising very high and sometimes surpassed the old ATH last year. Now everyone knows BNB and I'm sure I will hold it waiting for new price increases this year.

The price pumping mostly driven by the fact that Binance as a top exchange always performed well and I applause that but to say that if some people are profit oriented they should go for BNB is a little wrong, after all there's no guarantee that BNB will always stay the same like this, moreover a token that represents centralized exchange could "crumble" easily compared to real decentralized cryptos.

Based on the OP, he was referring on the coinmarketcap, so let's assume that he meant it's  the race in coinmarketcap.
Ethereum is currently rank at number 2, while Binance or BNB is rank at number 8,, they are not close but why are people comparing these 2?

my answer is because people are seeing the potential of Binance that it will surpass the number 2 in the future.
Binance is not just an exchange, they have a network already and they won't stop developing.

I think it is very difficult to happen, because Ethereum is a well-known smart contract project and many companies have used Ethereum project, while Binance is only the biggest exchange project, so it is very difficult for Binance to defeat Ethereum, although someday Binance will making smart contract project but I'm sure people will trust to use project from Ethereum rather than Binance, so in my opinion it's very difficult for Binance to defeat Ethereum.

You made a very good point, but you need to consider the fact that binance has grown to be more than just a cryptocurrency exchange. They've been making substantial movement in the cryptocurrency space and getting a smart contract is more closer than it seems.

Binance is rapidly spreading its business that is really good for the well being of cryptocurrency. Yes BNB trading started $0.1 and hit $39 in May 2019. Agree, maybe BNB Coin price growth has been amazing since it was launched but ethereum has become the second favorite coin after Bitcoin. It is possible that in the next few years BNB Coin will be able to overtake ethereum in price but it will take time and hard work from the team.

I don't think Binance can overtake the Ethereum, there have more coins that Binance needs to overcome first to get close to Ethereum. Binance platform, the ecosystem is great, no doubt. It is the most updated crypto network, they never stop developing! In the next couple of years, if binance continues these developments, then Binance maybe will overtake the Litecoin or Bitcoin SV in market cap, but it can't replace the Ethereum's position! It's not necessary, what's necessary is that BNB will rise in value so it will increase its marketacap, the ranking is only based on marketcap.

BNB is trying to achieve that too and that was why a DEX was created for it. Although that was a good thought and step taken by CZ, no matter how much he tries to list more projects that use Binance Chain on it, BNB can not still surpass ETH.

Well I didn't think that bnb will surpass that fast the ethereum they need to work for more, ethereum has a success stories it was a long way to run before it happen because bnb has exchange tunning IEO, has a binance dex but still ethereum remain on the position of it, if they do something new maybe the price will goes up?
