Is Trust Wallet Safe ? How to get Private Keys ?

Due to Exodus big fees, and Electrum Hack Scandal, Coinomi BTC Stolen Allegation,

i am interested in "Trust" wallet, but my question is, is it safe ?

i have heard, Binance which is reputable exchange owned it..

but i also heard million of users BTC also stuck in LocalBitCoin exchange and it was also Reputable in Past, as they suspend accounts and million of users bitcoins stuck LBC, as users are unable to Delete Account and get BTC as its LBC rule...

is there any trick to get private keys from Trust wallet ? i am unable to find it

i heard somewhere, No Keys.... No Crypto

is there any other secure wallet ?
i have heard Exodus has good reputation but transaction fees is high

Trust wallet is also a non-custodial wallet which means you are in control of your recovery phrase and your private keys. That also means the safety of the wallet entirely depends on you. No one else except you has access to your wallet and funds unless you personally give your keys/phrase to them.

On how to export your private keys, here's what I saw in their FAQ:

Your private keys (all derived from your recovery phrase) never leave the Trust Wallet app. The only way to get them out is when you reveal the recovery phrase. So handle it with great care!

To access the Trust wallet recovery phrase
Settings > Wallets > select wallet and tap on the 3 dots besides it > show recovery phrase

There is an easy method to get private keys from your wallet on "Trust Wallet" app if addresses were imported. You can find it on "Settings" of your wallet.

For account created there, you have your answer on official "Trust Wallet" website:

Yes! You — and only you — control the private keys in your Trust Wallet.
Your private keys (all derived from your recovery phrase) never leave the Trust Wallet app. The only way to get them out is when you reveal the recovery phrase. So handle it with great care!

No-one, not the Trust Wallet team, not the backend, not any of the DApps or other mobile apps, no-one can access to the private keys from your wallet. Whenever an operation is needed that requires the private key, Trust Wallet only signs a message with the private keys, without revealing it.

Your recovery phrase is the master password for the private keys. If you have different currencies (BTC, ETH, BNB, etc.) in your multi-coin wallet, each has a different private key internally, all derived from the recovery phrase. Is is possible to recover these private keys? Trust Wallet does not support extraction of the internal private keys, but they are derived from the recovery phrase using industry-standard methods, also used by other wallets (there are even some tools for deriving the private keys off a recovery key, such as iancoleman.io/bip39 28).

So, you can't export your private key but theoretically, could exist other methods to get it using some tools. But I'm not sure you can use iancoleman.io at the moment to do it.
If you want to recover your wallet, you can use your seed. Or may be you can import your wallet created there on Electrum via your seed and export the private key from there (if you are talking about BTC adress off course).

And yes, Binance is a good and reputable exchange but, from the first sentence of your post, you need to know that Binance has been hacked too. On Internet, there are no guaranties...

If you create a multi-coin wallet, you won't be able to access private keys of individual addresses but you can access the recovery phrase as explained by someone above which is more important

Why worry about fees? Security first.
Exodus is good too.
We also have Jaxx and Atomic Wallets... Check them out

For avoiding this kind of trouble does not store a big amount bitcoin in a single wallet especially in an exchange wallet maybe it refuge to give money back.

Using Trust wallet for BTC ETH is a bad idea but if you are storing some kind of Token trust wallet is best.BTC

I use Trust Wallet to store most of my BEP2 and some ETH tokens. While I don't recommend using it as your cold storage, so far I found no high-level security risk especially if you have good security practices. It works on multiple chains too so it's convenient if you need a hot wallet that support multiple chains.

If a wallets is trusted and safe for Tokens, it is safe for Bitcoins and etheruem too 

I use Trust Wallet to store most of my BEP2 and some ETH tokens. It works on multiple chains too so it's convenient if you need a hot wallet that support multiple chains.

I also use trust wallet on my phone and it is quite simple and easy to use. I do not store much funds in it because I am not very sure if the wallet is 100% safe and they cannot access your private keys ?

It's not clear to me what you are trying to say. I guess you are asking if you can import your Trust Wallet recovery phrase to another wallet and access your funds there. If that is what you mean, yes you can. Just make sure that the new wallet you are planning to use also supports your USDC or other coins/token.

Nothing is wrong with trust wallet and you can also download it through https://trustwallet.com/. I would suggest you not to spread false news and create panic amount the users who are holding their coins in that wallet.

You can use this tool but it doesn't work for Binance chain so far: https://iancoleman.io/bip39/
It works for other chains like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, POA Network etc

For the case of USDC, it's an ERC20 token that means you may be interested in recovering private keys to the ether address.
1. Visit https://iancoleman.io/bip39/ and after the page has loaded turn off your internet connection

2. Select 12 words under the "Generate a random mnemonic" line



3. Copy and paste or write your 12 word mnemonic phrase from your trust wallet ( I hope you know the procedure of getting it) into the "BIP39 Mnemonic" box space

4. After calculation is done, Scroll down and under the Coin section, select the chain of your choice, in the case of USDC, it's Ethereum



5. After that select the derivation path, for Ethereum that will be BIP32, you will be able to see the derived ether addresses and the respective Private keys. Usually the first address is the one that appears on the newly created wallet by default.
Be sure to check and confirm if both addresses much before you can back up the private key.

Which news you're referring which says that trust wallet disappeared ? I did not hear any such news about trust wallet.

Yes, you can move or transfer your USDC to another wallet that supports USDC but if the new wallet you are using doesn't have a feature using seed phrase then you can do what JeromeTash explanation on how to get your private key and if it does then you will only need to fill the seed phrase and you can get your private keys later on.

All wallets security always depends on the user itself, mostly mobile wallets if you make it secure enough it will be safe, just pick the right wallet to store your crypto in your private key matter there are option there in the setting then wallet, where you can export your private key.

I think you create/login wallet without Private Key, but use Phrase or JSON file like i use it. But, if i want to see the Private Key, i must login to MyEtherWallet using phrase/JSON file.

but it show public keys when i use same way to export private keys,
and it shows 'Multi Wallet" instead of "Wallet 1",
when i click on 3 dots near "USDC" and in the end there is only option to show "Recovery Phrase" and "Export Public keys"

I'm looking for that.
I think it's the main weak point of Trust wallet : not being able to directly access the private keys
