What the shit is happening in CMC?

In my opinion, after seeing events like this, I think CMC is no longer a reference to see the development of coin prices or exchanges at CMC. I think they just want to earn money without caring about other people who refer to their site to invest. it would be better if there were decisive actions against them so that the confidence of the crypto world would not go down.

Your sound looks good, mate. CMC can't be a source of legit information in such cases! Every day some unknown exchange comes in the top rank when Bittrex rank is 80-90! This can't be real surely. I have no idea how we can do something against them, better we can go to Cryptowhale bot or Coingecko for such information, they are not perfect but better than Coinmarketcap in many ways!

I almost don't believe this. Coin Market Cap is the most reputable site and it has been so long time having a great reputation and quality. If it is doing so and it really occurs, I think that the CMC team should evaluate this problem and fix this as soon as possible for the shake of the trust, reputation, and also services.

CMC Has been useful for me until now but yeah they should not list these sh*t exchanges with fake volume and scam accusations, they should have a team that will review these exchanges before listing. CMC is just showing what the exchanges API is showing them but some exchanges generate fake volume. I favor https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges is better than CMC now. Their Top 10 exchanges looks convincing and real.

I almost don't believe this. Coin Market Cap is the most reputable site and it has been so long time having a great reputation and quality. If it is doing so and it really occurs, I think that the CMC team should evaluate this problem and fix this as soon as possible for the shake of the trust, reputation, and also services.

It's just that experts have figured out the Coin Market Cap algorithm and are now using It to create a successful image for their business. My opinion is that CoinMarketCap Itself is not involved in this. Although we know that money can work wonders. But the team must take steps to ensure that CoinMarketCap continues to be trusted.

I think they are not aware, of the community's complaints about the reported volume, these volumes are really rigged and manipulated what they are going to gain if they lose their reputation, they are conniving with these exchanges to make it appear that they are the leading exchanges in the market.

Are you sure you checking the right statistics? According to liquidity top three exchanges are: HitBTC, Bitfinex and Binance in chronological order.
I think you checked list according to Adjusted Volume which is nothing but the reported volume minus any zero fees and transaction fee market.

Exactly! I thought I wasn't going to read a comment that would actually point this out. I'm not also sure if the OP completely understands what he is talking about. Bilaxy isn't even in the list of top exchanges on CMC if ranked by liquidity. OP probably wanted CMC to remove exchange ranking by reported and adjusted volume which I think is unnecessary.

There is no denying that CMC figures were being manipulated and the introduction of the ranking by liquidity should provide a more accurate data on exchange volumes. Compare to the top exchanges on coingecko.

The exchanges that are on the top list are very known to us unlike in CMC, I'm not familiar with those at the top. I guess CMC allowed themselves to be paid just for the sake of this ranking since they have the huge traffic for market cap website.

An alternative to Coingecko that you might not know about is https://coincodex.com/exchanges/

I cannot guarantee that the data they display is free from errors or fake volumes, but it is undoubtedly better than the data presented by Coinmarketcap.

I know that site but I think coingecko is next to it but if others are looking for another market cap site and wants to ignore CMC, there are too many choices and it includes the one that you have mentioned.
I have checked CMC and looked at the ranking and still those exchanges that are on the top are not the most popular and said to have the most volume.

I also notice this scenario upon searching for the top 5 ranking of exchanges and I am shock that P2PB2B was among of them and what is worst, I have used that exchange already and I tested how they manipulate almost all the trades.

They are very good at manipulation, at that time I have some token that were listed there and I saw that there are passive tradings that is happening as buy and sell order are doing good. But upon depositing the tokens then I try to sell, it was locked and I cannot sell it. That is the time that I know that they are listing shit tokens and faking their volume like they have auto bots to act as buyers and sellers to create a wonderful trade scenario. CMC should fix this issue so the crypto society will have a good source of information especially to the exchanges that are good to use.

Indeed. If CMC will continue to patronize this kind of information many will be disappointed and move away from this site. Traders will find other ways to look for other references instead of using CMC. It's not good to make some citing if there's no realizations from the information that you are providing. CMC should take this from their account if they are still willing to gather more visitors.

Surely that is the most important point to be considered. These kind of platforms were cherishing in the past but recently even those are turning out to be greedy. They are charging the projects that apply to get listed onto such platforms and perhaps their internal direct relations might even be allowing CMC to create the fake trading volume just with the intention to attract maximum traffic onto the exchange.

It might even be possible that they might be charging such scam exchanges with heavy fees and it might lead to lost them on top positions even above than most reputable and trusted exchanges like binance, etc. This should be stopped as soon as possible because it is actually creating fake awareness which might soon lose faith and also newbies might lose their interest into the crypto space.

we have other option and there are some place where we can also check the exchangers than CoinMarketCapitalization because there are so many issues about this fake volume happening in this site.

Perhaps CMC depends on the number of votes or something like this? Because a platform like CMC would never promote any of the scam projects. It just might be the people who are responsible for the listing. There are a lot of ways for such scam exchanges to get listed onto major platforms like CMC.

One of the most major way for them would be by paying the high fees to get listed themselves. Scam exchange can pay comparably higher fees and that might be the reason why these scam exchanges like Bilaxy, FatBtc, p2pb2b, etc are on the top list. If the same continues than I do not think that several people can trust coinmarketcap anymore.

According to their Listing Criteria "CoinMarketCap listings are always free." and "CoinMarketCap DOES NOT accept payment of any form to bypass listing requirements or to intentionally publish inaccurate information."
What is likely is that some of these listed exchanges are reporting false trading volume data through their APIs or doing a large number of 'in-house' transactions to fake their volumes. I'm not sure if there is a proper method to deal with this. But I agree that Coinmarketcap should pay more attention to this issue since they have a very high place and reputation in the crypto community.
