New generation? For Nvidia forget it.
My estimate is they bring the Titan first. Price 3k and up.
If we are lucky the 3080ti might come in september for Huh 1400 EUR Huh i would say.
The 3080 for around 900 i think. So nothing to mine with. Much too long roi.
The 3070 could be the new mining card.... around christmas.

For AMD? No idea if they are good. I always had problems taking AMD cards to the max.
I remember with all the 480s, sorting by memory type, reselling to get good ram.... what a mess.
Glad i got rid of em. AMD has to bring out something really good  if i ever buy 1 again.

I agree with you that Nvidias are way easier to handle, you can basically install the drivers, MSI afterburner and only find the better config, probably TDP, Core and Memory clocks, period.
About AMD, they are beasts in Ethash, and if people want to mine ETH and another coins Ethash, they need to face AMD and the tweaks (change bios, find a decent brand of memory, change clocks, timings etc)

For a newcomer, Nvidias are the way, but a enthusiast could handle AMD easily

About the new generation of Nvidias, no one know...they could bring something exceptional, but only time will tell...

I haven't use AMD GPUs since the All In Wonder.

It's too bad AMD can't put pressure on Nvidia the way they did on Intel with Ryzen.
It did wonders for the new Cascade Lake X prices.

It's dssapointing to see the x80ti models over 1k.

The 2060KO seems to be reasonably priced in repsonse to AMD.

I agree the AMD RX 400 and 500 are a pain in the ass, but my 40 AMD cards are still hashing eth 3 years and still going.  You should look at the RX 5700's Ive bought 15 open box so far for around 280 - 330.  They can make a over a dollar a day on eth, Grin 31 and 60 cents on zcoin.  That's better then a 2060 and $100 cheaper.

Anything special about the 2060 KO other then price?

Not that I'm aware of, the specs match the other 2060s. Apparently it was released at CES
in direct response to the RX5600XT.

thx for all the Details..
now i calculated a bit, and think the 2070 Super is best one.
If i can find some 2080 for a good price, i take this too.
If not, the 2070 Super as a New Card has good Price.
