from my observation so far, the ups and downs of the price of altcoin is determined by the price of Bitcoin, so if the price of bitcoin goes up then the price of Cadano will also go up, and vice versa if the price of bitcoin goes down.

That's the thing of the past now because right now we can see altcoins rising up while bitcoin is left behind. Cardano rise up to 100% while bitcoin remains as is and also synthetix network and Compound coin. I think its not just me that noticed all these but altcoins keep climbing up but ETH and BTC stay just on their price range for weeks. Whales must have maintained its price while they pick the good altcoins to bag in preparation before the bulls rally together.
