Where can I rent servers for bitcoin?

I want to spin up a few web servers but all the web host providers I currently know only accept credit card payments. My needs are not very grand, extreme customization of servers isn't a required feature for me as long as I can choose between shared and dedicated servers, so something like DigitalOcean. Also I'm not looking for other services besides server hosting and domain name registration but I guess those two could be provided by separate sites.

For instance I don't care about operating system customization as long as there are windows and linux options. If they have  a few categories of servers to choose from that would be fine with me as long as I can rent them with bitcoin.

I looked around the internet hoping to find a few services that provide servers in exchange for bitcoin, anonymously because paying with KYC verification isn't much of a step forward (providing contact information isn't much better). So I found:

• serverroom.net - I don't even think this has a bitcoin payment option
• blackserver.io - They aren't accepting new registrations
• coinhost.io - They have a lot of servers to choose from and domain name registration and can be bought with cryptocurrencies but it looks like I need to provide it a lot of personal information such as telephone number and address which I'm uncomfortable doing.
• vikhost.io - same as above
• qhoster.com - same as above
• yokuhosting.com - same as above

Really, I'm just looking to get web servers with providing so much contact information. I'm aware domain name WHOIS registration requires this but it's not good for my privacy. I'm not in a position to hand over my contact details.

Let me get this straight, your looking for a website provider that accepts payment via BTC, right?

Have you tried checking out Hostinger? Based on what I found, they don't really require KYC, they also cater to beginner web developers/bloggers. Seems like its quite a trusted and liked provider. You can see the reviews about it here.I also tried looking up various providers and I found quite a few. You can refer to them here. Not particularly sure if they meet most of your standards, though they do accept payments in BTC.

There is Vultr also which lets people paying with Bitcoin. I used to manage different servers and some of them were with Digital Ocean and some with Vultr. From my own experience, I prefer a lot more Vultr over Digital Ocean.

There is Bitlaunch.io to get a VPS with Linode and Digital ocean and Vultr but you pay with your crypto, it acts as a 'middleman' between you and the server provider.

Domain name registration: I used Namesilo and Namecheap when I wanted to pay in BTC, I don't remember to be bothered with an ID verification

You can also find additional list at https://www.privacytools.io/providers/hosting/. They're privacy-friendly and some accept Bitcoin, such as Njalla. It is a good alternative.

IIRC Vultr require you to enter credit card information once before you can pay with Bitcoin

I can also vouch for Vultr. Been using it for 2 years already with little to no problem besides a few server downtime, but nothing that problematic.

As for the requirement to enter credit card information, I'm really not sure if I remember correctly but if my memory serves me right, my initial payment was PayPal, which is kinda better than giving credit card information in my book. After then you can pay with bitcoin but unfortunately they use BitPay.

Vultr and Digital ocean would be a perfect fit as both have a good reputation. Beside, Vultr  will allow you to pay with digital assets which will solve your scenario and their service and customer care are superb.

They are trusted ones and never heard any scam accusations against them. The only problem is it's a bit expensive than the others.

Looks like bitcoin-vps has a really huge list of bitcoin accepting services. I haven't even finished examining the list and I found a couple of anonymous server hosting services as well as cockbox (https://cockbox.org/), which lets you top up your balance with bitcoin and let you spin up servers with that budget. I also have yet to check the Serivce Announcements section of this board but I should check some time soon. Like the one BitMaxz quoted.

They use coingate for payment and so far I haven't noticed any personal information I needed to hand over. I haven't bought anything there yet but for those of you who have used coingate, was there anything they asked for? Besides email address of course that one is acceptable to me.


Since there are completely anonymous server-givers who create servers with a finite lifetime in days, do you all think that there are anonymous domain name registration services as well, that also give you the domain for a number of days?

You can try some alternative methods such as buying a gift card or discount code, or even trying to try to use this Virtual Visa card^[1] "I have not tried it, but one of the members of the local board indicated that it works on some sites."
Search in Google if such cards work with the sites above and if you find them you will have saved a lot of time.

I know Vultr have good reputation, but according to old reddit page (https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4f00t4/vultrcom_disabled_bitcoin_for_new_accounts/), you need to link your account with traditional/conventional payment method first.

On a side note, BitPay is nightmare for Bitcoin and Tor user.

I checked one of my two Vultr accounts, and I didn't have a credit card or debit card information in it; so I guess PayPal falls under the "traditional/conventional payment method" which is really good in my book.

And yea, bummer for BitPay hence why I pay them through PayPal instead. Trying to use BitPay is just unnecessarily going to give me a headache.

I can only say that I am satisfied user for more than four years, that no documents are required, and that they accept BTC and few others coins. Support is fast and always solves any problem as soon as possible. Perhaps the only downside is the fact that their servers are located in the USA, at least to my knowledge.

They use CoinPayments until they changed their terms of business, and now they use https://commerce.coinbase.com/ which is KYC free for customers, very simple and easy for make payment.

There are lots of web hosting services these days that are accepting payments with bitcoin and they also offer more services apart from web hosting;  for example domain name, `who is guard ʼ, etc. The most popular one is Hostinger; they are offering a lot of services –daily backups, free SSL , 24/7 Support, Free domain, and other services and monthly charge is $2.15.

There is Name Cheap which pops up on almost every search you do on this, they offer everything similar to what Hostinger is offering its users except for the free domain, and their charge is $2.88 per month. Both of these platforms are accepting payment in bitcoin, and Hostinger accepts payment in altcoins as well; Litecoin, Doge, Ethereum, etc. Others you should look into are RouteHosting, HostWinds (accepts 14 altcoins), HawkHost, and Shinjiru. You should check the six of them out and I believe that they are better than the ones you have mentioned here.

I see that only steadyturtle above by a reputable member is using it and I would choose that then over anything else because it would seem to me 4 years is a short time and yet it is the longest by any provider. The price is not competitive though,,,

Hi, you can check out this article. I have used Namecheap in the past for shared web hosting. I did not face any issue with them. I did pay using Bitcoin. They are a little costly but have great support.
