Sometimes I feel very bad that why we are being so hypocrite nowadays. Decentralized exchanges are being shut down because of a lack of investors and fund. Forkdelta asked 1000 USD fund to continue the exchange, just think about their condition! Because of our ignorance, expert devs are not coming with great decentralized exchange!  Where all the centralized exchanges are getting attention from us and that why they are becoming over volumed! I think this is happening because of us! We need to be changed to make a better, decentralized crypto world. Once Bitcoin had no value, we the people gave it this value, let's bring back that decentralization again, supporting decentralized exchange can be the first step. What do you say about it, guys? I feel your frustration regarding the condition we are in. Let them enjoy the centralized exchange, many people right now prefer CEX over DEX and I cannot blame them. CEX are easy to use compared to DEX. But I promise you my friend, there will come a time that DEX will surely conquer the whole scene. Decentralization of all things is inevitable because of the transparency and secured network it can get. You will see lots of centralized exchanges will develop their own decentralized exchanges just to cope up with the competition.

I agree with your point especially exchanges like forkdelta should boom because they provide us an open and basic platform to trade our tokens and it is really sad to see it struggling due to low trading volume. I also agree that only decentralized exchanges go with the essence and concept of crypto market but sadly they are not in trend at the moment.

Actually I'm also confused by all this. where it is not in accordance with the objectives of crypto ie everything must be transparent, a little confused sometimes see that the DEX volume is very small when compared with the exchange of centralization. the actual facts we receive are indeed like this, maybe later if everyone has regained consciousness. people's interest in an exchange is indeed in features, safety, and comfort. DEX, if it is seen, is too monotonous in my opinion, but I am sure that in the future DEX is superior, considering that it is also often related to data misuse.

Starting from your subject topic, as crypto individuals, we can only trade our tokens where they are available for trade, we invested to take profits, and we must always do that either on a decentralized exchange or centralized exchange.

Secondly, why do you mention donation of funds for forkdelta? no ill thoughts but, exchange platforms either cex, or dex are supposed to be ran and maintained duly without sourcing funds.

On another note, look at idex, a lot of people say they are centra/decentralized, but they adjusted to recent demands and are surviving just fine.

On some centralized exchanges, binance for a lead, you can now buy/sell bitcoin or other tokens with your card. When will decentralized exchanges give and try to offer a different product, unique and extremely acceptable ?

Do i support decentralized exchange, yes. Will i donate to them No.

I love to trade in decentralized exchange than centralized exchange because of security reason (Many popular exchange prefer KYC now days). I tried couple of times though but lack of investor and popularity it's really hard to trade there. Not just Forkdelta, even giant exchange Binance also straggle with there decentralized exchange. They didn't get success which they aimed for. This article show some point why decentralized still rise up.

Majority of people come to crypto for profits and not for decentralization, so it's no wonder that centralized platforms are more popular - they are easier to use, faster, more convenient, have higher volumes, etc. Decentralized exchanges will become more popular if they will improve themselves enough to compete with the centralized ones in terms of user experience.

To be honest Fork.delta was horrendous. I've never used such a clunky platform in my life.

Just because we want decentralization, doesn't mean we'll use the first decentralized exchange platform to come along, or the first decentralized alternative to currently popular platforms.

There needs to be a trade-off, if we're going to take reduced features, it at least needs to be usable. The trade-off should be in terms of features, not usability, otherwise they'll never take off.

Also, most DEX's simply can't handle the trade volume CEX platforms see. I suspect when one does finally arrive, people will flock to it in droves.

It won't changebecause centralized exchanges have 2 advantages.

The first one is that they have an established position on the market and that means a lot of money for advertising. A newcommer will automatically get directed to centralzied exchanges. They won't even hear about decentralized ones to have a choice.

The second one is convenience. People want trades to be as easy and as fast as possible and will sacrifice decentralization for speed.

To be honest, none of the centralized exchange has a good volume, it results low liquidity for assets and as a result people don't trade their. Decentralized exchanges are a little tricy to use also if you look at how easy to use CEX.

it is unfortunate that at this time many places of exchange like that have a lot of problems, at this time it is indeed a place of exchange which in my opinion has started to show a lot of cases of SCAM and will happen a lot in other places of exchange that use a decentralized exchanges platform.

Supporting dex is an awesome approach in order to help decentralization but we already have some dex and guess what? Most people are just avoiding and seeinh them as little progress compared to lots of centralized exchange such as Binance. For example there is a new project and hr has given choice to get listed one on dex and one on Binance Cex? Who do think the newly project will pick? Its not about dex has nothing to show off but the popularity of cex is above our pay grade.

I think you misinterpret centralized exchange to dex? Low liquidity? I dont think a centralized exchange Binance has low liquidity and only few people trade there? So many maybe.. Dex are the one losing value here.

Just like other traders or crypto enthusiast that is also investing in centralized alt-coin.

The question is who killed the new tokens or coins entering the decentralized exchange? is it the party of the exchange itself, or the traders who frequently visit the decentralized exchange?

We want it but we can't depend too much with these DEXs because of our needs. Unlike in the centralized exchanges, they're almost complete with what we're looking for.

Almost everyone that actually understands cryptocurrency are in favor of decentralization and decentralized exchange. But everyone needs to balance their needs and wants.
I want to use DEX to fulfill every of my trading and conversion needs but I'm not being able to do that. DEX still don't provide the complexity a centralized exchange would provide while trading. And with the recurring problems with DEX, there's no trustable DEX people could just head to. So, there are several things thats need to be improved as users are already tempted by the thought of decentralized exchange.

Though I got your point but I don't think Decentralized exchange ever will be accepted by every trader. Because they have lots of lacks and profit is very less for the technical team comparing to the centralized exchanges, As you said Forkdelta asking 1000 USD for funding, that shows how bad a DEX's situation! IDEX was the best Decentralized exchange but now they added KYC, very soon they may migrate into CEX. Running a DEX is not free and easy, so, developers won't spend their time on something less profit.

Most DEX's is either FAKE (Not decentralized at all), or has very little volume/liquidity.

Blocknet developed the first true functional DEX on the market (Early 2018), and a lot of trading has been done on their platform, including OTC trades, which is 100% trustless when performed on a peer 2 peer exchange like the BLOCK DX.

I hear you, funny indeed. I don't know why but people doesn't use decentralised exchanges. Look at Binance DEX they barely have $1M in daily volume, and their centralised exchange have $3B.
