We want true Decentralization in crypto but we use Centralized exchanges!

Sometimes I feel very bad that why we are being so hypocrite nowadays. Decentralized exchanges are being shut down because of a lack of investors and fund. Forkdelta asked 1000 USD fund to continue the exchange, just think about their condition! Because of our ignorance, expert devs are not coming with great decentralized exchange!  Where all the centralized exchanges are getting attention from us and that why they are becoming over volumed! I think this is happening because of us! We need to be changed to make a better, decentralized crypto world. Once Bitcoin had no value, we the people gave it this value, let's bring back that decentralization again, supporting decentralized exchange can be the first step. What do you say about it, guys? Leave your valuable opinion.

I think decentralized exchanges have not reached the necessary maturity yet, to begin with many of those exchanges that say they are decentralized are lying and we have seen this in the past with some of those exchanges asking for KYC, second they do not have all the features that an exchange must have and this makes them impractical and those two factors create a lack of liquidity in the exchange which makes them even less appealing than their centralized counterparts.

in my opinion, decentralization can not exist in entirety, there has to be a control measure to regulate things at a particular level or region in the space. Although, we complain about the regulations from SEC and other financial regulatory agencies but in reality, investors funds have to be protected. Massive adoption of projects can also eliminate, to an extent, the measure of centralization by regulatory authorities, that is when it is truely peer-to-peer.

Actually I understood your concern and it's right but there are various reasons which affects this. First, how many decentralized exchanges are easy to use? How many have good volume? How many are fast? How many convinent and have good UI? It's not like they were abandoned rather it is some of the issues surrounding them. Any project can list on any exchange and even grow from there if properly managed; there are projects which started from decentralized exchanges but yet the users still clamoured for other exchanges because of volume. In my own opinion, I think if there will be a decentralized exchange which can offer some of the features of  centralized exchanges it will draw attention and the neccessary competition.

Also often on such exchanges there are problems with speed, both with the speed of transaction execution and with the speed of order execution.

Probably, to implement all of what you have said, you need a new kind of blockchain technology.

No only few want that. You can see and say that proven that most crypto users prefer to use centralized exchange over dex.

Thats the thing also. Most dex cannot match the services the centralized can offer. In terms of trading and processes. Ive uses dex and so far I dont much complained or maybe the dex I used is just okay and not the one the others complaining. I think if many will give support to dex then it can work out. But mostly they just ignored many dex so why would it be a pure decentralization when clearly people wanted a centralized one.

The main problems with the DEXs are liquidity where there are not enough buyers or sellers when compared to centralized exchanges.

that can be solved if we will have a propaganda and tell people to stop using centralized exchange and start to love decentralized exchanges  .

And another major factor is the current DEXs are based on single-chain but centralized exchanges offer cross-chain coins and tokens. So it's not convenient for the users to go for chain specific DEXs instead of just one centralized exchange.

i dont know what this mean but it sounds too deep for my understanding  . i only understand the word convinient  . centralized exchanges are hassel because you need to sign up first to be able to use them but decentralized exchange works different , all you just need is import your wallet/private keys and your good to go  .

I think Binance will solve this problem and come with a CEX - DEX combo

I know what you feel bro but lets accept the reality where centralized exchangers would be much more preferred to be used by many.Why? the main reason is that
cex do have that crypto to fiat pairs which cant really be found on Dex ones which means people would really go to cex yet we know on how important on having that
option or feature on directly transact with fiat.Here's some question.. would you able to buy coins directly from your bank account on using Dex? Definitely not thats why
they do end up on that preferred option.

I find it difficult to use and that is one concern should be fixed or at least resolved by its developers. I want to use it as much as I can but the truth is that centralized exchanges are doing it better.

And the another one that's being pointed out by majority, the liquidity there is almost nothing which we can't really rely. I think we will be tied up with the use of centralized exchanges for a very long time.

scam exchange is actually not only found in decentralized exchange, but it is also found in centralized exchange, just how do we choose a reliable exchane

it is unfortunate that at this time many places of exchange like that have a lot of problems, at this time it is indeed a place of exchange which in my opinion has started to show a lot of cases of SCAM and will happen a lot in other places of exchange that use a decentralized exchanges platform.

It's not that is hard but people are not fond of using dex. For a non geek type user and trader like me, I am really wanted the set up of an exchang for centraized market. As you can see very simple though the decentralization is really being by pass but what can we do right?

You just cant blame the dex for not having the volume especiallt if its the project responsibility to provide liquidity. Yes dex arent popular but if the project has enough potential I dont think even small dex cant be swarm ny investors who are thirsty of a hidden gem right.

The biggest problem is not about DEX or CEX even though I agree that DEX has no liquidity (but that is because no users!). But so what if DEX has liquidity it just means we are all speculators.

The problem is people are still not crypto users. They keep their crypto with other companies not on their own. They do not use it, they hold it.

Not until we start seeing usable decentralized exchanges no one will like using them, DEX only knows how to keep your money safer than centralized but centralized exchanges offers the best experience IMO

Some altcoiners, especially newbies prefer centralized exchanges because they are simplified or popular or seems to be trustworthy. I can't stand KYC verification, so I always use decentralized exchange.

I agree but decentralized exchanges as you note come with too many limitations and many traders are not willing to accept them when they can use a centralized option, just to give you an example, in my limited experience with decentralized exchanges they do not seem to support market orders and you can only buy and sell with limit orders, this is a big limitation especially for the trader with a limited amount of time, due to the lack of volume in those exchanges it can take a long time to hit your limit order and most traders do not want to wait that long for that to happen.

I agree with your point especially exchanges like forkdelta should boom because they provide us an open and basic platform to trade our tokens and it is really sad to see it struggling due to low trading volume. I also agree that only decentralized exchanges go with the essence and concept of crypto market but sadly they are not in trend at the moment.

No one loves forkdelta like binance exchange, remember that same thing is happening with old and new projects in crypto space, no matter how good your project is if investors have no interest you are doomed
