Hey everyone,

So what is the best Altcoin Mining Pool such as middlecoin and wafflepool etc?  And with all these asic scrypt miners coming out, is it better to try to go through coinwarz and do it yourself?  So that way your not the lowest man on the totem pole?

Thanks!

I have found multipool.us  reliable, in that 99.9% of the time, things are great, and that 0.1% they generally let you know what's going on and fix it within a reasonable time.

Just a tip, stay away from the smaller pools, unless you can establish a long term history for them, some can be scammy or incompetent. (Meaning they randomly lose/tax payments, have security issues, or similar.)  then there are also outright scams pop up.

There is "safety in numbers" to some extent in that pools with large hash have low variance and dependable payouts, don't look at the share, look at the average per week. Sure you might get 0.1 LTC shares on the one pool, but only every day or two, whereas you get 0.01 shares several times a day on a larger pool.

Also, don't leave too much coin on a pool, transfer it out regularly. Even the best run ones get hacked, they're under permanent siege.

Multipool.us is anonymous on the coins their mining?  And they automatically transfer over to BTC for you?  Have you tried the others?

No, they automatically mine the highest profit coin, but it's up to you to cash it out.

Megamultipool looks fine and allows you to automatically mine the most profitable coin.

recent addition to multipool is cryptsy exchange integration, so you can set up things to automatically cash out.

i looked at a few, did some mining with them and found www.wemineall.com to be one of the best.
they do all the work for you and exchange what you mine for btc.
takes all the guess work out of it.

i'm currently not using them since i've only got a single 7950 and i'm doing gpu coin, but plan on going back to them after i've hit around 5-10 million gpuc.

Another vote for multipool.  We've been using them for a couple months.  We've had lots of small amounts of various types.  Cryptsy makes it pretty easy to sell, though.

Multipool is a good option, but I would also consider "Hash Cows" and "Middle Coin".

I have none negative experience with the other two.

If you are in to Litecoin mining, then use pool-x.eu. Quite decent and honest people out there.
