Hi,

I'm the author of the following thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5221442.msg53725194#msg53725194

I initially wrote it in the services section and it was moved to the sketchy (scammy) HYIP/Ponzi games section of the marketplace.

Could we move it back to the services section?

Thanks!

sketchy (scammy) HYIP/Ponzi

Sounds about right to me.  Promising 48.7% ROI makes it a scammy HYIP.

You can move it back yourself at the bottom left if you believe it's been moved there in error, but you should clarify exactly what the bot does or what this actually is.

sketchy (scammy) HYIP/Ponzi

Sounds about right to me.  Promising 48.7% ROI makes it a scammy HYIP.

Maybe he should reword it because I'm not sure if this a HYIP or he's just exaggerating the returns to be expected, but clearly specific returns can't be guaranteed with a bot.

I checked the thread, the returns being promised are a joke. I might make a scam accusation thread later this evening unless somebody beats me to it.

Even if it is not a scam as in a send-your-crypto-to-me-and-I-will-steal-it manner but instead promises 50% ROI - then it is a scam.

Hi,

I understand where your concern is coming from.
But I can assure you, and prove that our project is not another ponzi scheme or other scam.

I can prove our results, show trades, screenshots and even plug you in for free so you can assert of its authenticity.
I can also connect a Deribit Test account if you'd like to make one.

Thanks

How about this for a test; you invest your own money on my behalf, say 0.1BTC.  Once "my" investment reaches an ROI 48.7% you can send me my proceeds, minus any fees or commissions you want to charge, and of course, minus the original 0.1BTC you "loaned" to me.  If you are so confident about your bot's ability to be profitable, then neither of us are risking anything.  You get to prove me wrong, and prove to the world that your bot is legit.

Deal?

Oh, one last question; does this bot work by using API's that are as secure as bitcoin private keys?

Soooo many siimilar schemes running around, promising amazing ROIs from Magick Money Making Machines.
As crypto trading's a zero sum game, there must be some awfully big losers about.
Yes, this scheme and similar others belong in "Investor Games" because that's exactly what they are (when they aren't out and out scams).

Oh, and API access? I'll just leave this here....

But we've heard this all before. I'd suggest you remove any mention of specific profit levels and just advertise it as a trading bot if you're serious about it being legit. If what you were saying is true you really wouldn't need to sell it because you could just reinvest your own money time and time again and profit infinitely until you have all the money in the world.

Hi all,

Thank you all for your concerns. We understand that it is in everyone's best interest to correctly assign posts to categories, and report/list Scams and other Ponzis as such.

Please find bellow our past 850 trades, from September 4th 2019 until today.
https://pastebin.com/9KAsWRVH

Those past 166 days, the studied account grew from 0.099BTC to 0.1303BTC.
that's a 31.6% increase in equity in 166 days, or about 82.9% annualized return (before our commission of course).
(Calc: 1.316^(365/166)-1 = 82.9%)

As you said, we cannot guarantee such return to all our customers. Hence why the forecast has be "slashed" to about 50%.

Balance evolution of studied account:

Soooo many siimilar schemes running around, promising amazing ROIs from Magick Money Making Machines.
As crypto trading's a zero sum game, there must be some awfully big losers about.
Yes, this scheme and similar others belong in "Investor Games" because that's exactly what they are (when they aren't out and out scams).

I am not sure what you're trying to convey with this picture. Yes we use Deribit's strong API and trading engine to insure our trades are executed 100% of the time (given current volumes being worked with)

Hi hope this will help clarify some of your concerns.
I'm willing to have a more private discussion or call with a trusted member of the forum if one would be willing to.

Thanks.

I looked at your thread, and I agree it is not appropriate to move it to investor based games. The investor based games sub is described as :
Quote
Games where the main factor is whether or not new "investors" join the game. Also any Bitcoin-denominated investment product with an APY far above the reasonable market rate.
The OP's product does not rely on additional investors for its return, and I don't see any explicit promises of results.

I do agree that trading with the hopes of earning 7% per month is very similar to gambling. But I would also point out that large swings are common in bitcoin related markets, for example, etherum is up 4% in USD terms over the last 24 hours.

The OP does appear to be providing a service. I think this is probably bette suited for the securities section, but maybe the description of the securities section should be changed.

If I am understanding the OP's thread correctly, he is inputting a customer's exchange API key into his trading bot, which then makes trades on behalf of his customers.

There may also be an argument to disallow this kind of service, I am not familiar with the legal landscape regarding offering this kind of service.

Well I would like to expand on this post.

If the OP can loan me a test amount of 0.01 BTC then add it to the trading bots only to receive the original 0.1 BTC for himself and to send me the stipulated 50% ROI - then maybe I or others could consider vouching for it or simply taking at face value the claims of ROI being made.

Even if a bot delivers profit one-time, it doesn't prove any future performance.
