DO NOT TRUST

Name :  Rubi Khatun
Email address:  rubikhatunico@gmail.com
Mobile Number / Whatsapp Number :- +91-9874894996
Address :-  House Number  167  N.S.  ROAD ( NETAJI SUBHASH ROAD )  kotkata 7000007
Linkedin : https://in.linkedin.com/in/rubi-khatun-a61128aa

She contacted my business partner stating that she had investors in India looking to invest in new projects however she needed a marketing fee up front.

As hesitant as we were she seemed trustworthy enough so we sent the $750.00 in ETH

She insisted that once she received the payment we would start to receive investments within 6 hours.

We wait 1.5 weeks with constant excuses and non stop pushing the time frame.

Once we got fed up and stated we would be taken alternate action she blocked us from all social media channels.

She also blocked us from all communication channels

DO NOT SEND HER ANYTHING

--snip--
DO NOT SEND HER ANYTHING
Do not send anyone crypto else till you have a way to ascertain there reputation. Much less to women with exotic names who give off an air of importance without anything to back it.
Plus, your partner is just a novice to have trusted her. Her experience says "INTERNATIONAL COMPANY"..How much of a red flag he needed?

I guess the contact information might be a fake one,its not too hard to get someone's identity for few INRs in India, sometime you can get them for free. You shouldn't trusted anyone who you just met online and saying he is from big company and needed a fee from you to start doing things.

Another lesson. Smiley

If you think that giving out some money to a person on the internet give you returns of huge values, then you are a fool.

Every scam happens like this and there is no end to the number of similar scams happening which dont get reported anywhere. Law enforcement cant help you because it was your fault in the first place and Ethereum is a non reversible currency.

But I am not sure if posting those personal information (which may anyway go away) is allowed here in this section. Doxing is only allowed in the "Investigations" section of the forum. You have posted there already, so why not link it here and remove the details?

She posts all the time on her linkedin on how she can get investments for people and my business partner did a video call with her to verify it was her compared to the ID provided
You posted this in the scam accusation thread but it is not described here and what i would like to know is whether your business partner was able to do a video call with the girl in the ID provided, because i highly doubt the scammers used the ladies ID as an upfront to carry on the scam because i have seen many identity theft cases earlier.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Local station police will have no idea what you are complaining about and more over they will blame you for losing your money that the India. And yes its possible to make a complaint on cyber cell which maybe at district headquarters only but still the chances of recovering the lost money is less than one percent.

It is important that if you do not know anybody or gets any messages or some returns which they state which is more than believable better to avoid it else chances are that you may fall in the scam and may lose your money. So better to avoid it than feeling regretted.

Greed makes you blind that is why most people got attracted when they hear the words huge returns but making money is not east in reality so never lose your money for greediness...

Don't trade with someone via other social media, just go with official sites like exchanges or p2p for trading cryptos.

Very important point that trade only with the reputed exchanges or P2P etc which existing from long time and not a fraud. Else if trading with any unknown person or in any group etc without any escrow might lead to high chances of getting scammed in today's time.

Even if we trade with the help of escrow to avoid scamming still we may get issues later even after years if the source of money we get from the buyer was from illicit activties that is why better go with exchange for safe trading.
