Have you seen the video of The Simpsons talking about cryptocurrency in episode 13, season 31 on February 21, 2020? The short clip is about when Jim Parsons gave a brief explanation on what is cryptocurrency and blockchain's function to crypto. Here's a YouTube link for the video if you want to watch. I suggest that you should watch it. It will only take 1 minute and 49 seconds of your time.
Code:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovyMzT8rS8w

It's amazing that cryptocurrency is also being shown in an episode of The Simpsons. I remembered that they have also mentioned Bitcoin before in an episode, I just forget what episode. But what's more, fun is that we're aware that there are times where The Simpsons predicted the future. There's this line in the video where a ledger character is singing and said
Quote
"Each day I'm closer to being cash of the future. Not in your wallet, I'm in your computer"

This idea is already starting since we're slowly achieving mass adoption. Although they didn't mention Bitcoin in this episode with this, it gives me strongly believe that crypto can soon be widely accepted and can be the cash of the future.  Also, this statement was shown in the video

The last line got my attention because it says "we know who Satoshi is, but we're not telling." I don't know whether to believe this or not because it's just a mere cartoon but this part is really interesting. This episode was already talked on twitter and even the Binance tweet this. I want to look more on the video to look for a hint or something that's related to crypto. What do you think about this episode?

The last line got my attention because it says "we know who Satoshi is, but we're not telling." I don't know whether to believe this or not because it's just a mere cartoon but this part is really interesting.

You do know the idea of a comedy show is to make jokes, right?   Huh

I mean, I could explain the joke, but then it would cease to be funny.

I highly doubt that they know who Satoshi is - probably just a marketing gimmick..

It's great that cryptocurrencies is featured in a classic cartoon that many Americans and not only, have emotional attachment to. Overall it is a simple explanation of how crypto works and I think it should be kept this way. Most people are not technically-driven although they should be!

Te Simpsons is a visionary show.

Maybe the Simpson creators have something to do with Bilderberg, and as far as the public knows, they plan at least 5 years in advance. Each important statesman/politician is present at one of the group meetings before being appointed.

I remember reading somewhere that someone asked Clinton at the Bildeberg meeting if he wanted to be a US president, and of course they chose him after that Shocked

Trump may not have been in the meetings, but Jared Kushner (senior adviser and son-in-law) is a regular guest Roll Eyes

The Simpsons is a shadow of its former self, the show went from having above 20 millions of viewers to below 4 millions as of now. And the impact of modern Simpsons on the popular culture is nearly non-existent - it's a zombie show that no one talks about, when people say "the Simpsons" or make some memes, they refer the seasons 1-8.

One of the problems of modern Simpsons is that they spend too much time covering contemporary culture - they make whole episodes about celebrities, social movements, etc., so I'm not even surprised that they talked about crypto.

Have you seen the video of The Simpsons talking about cryptocurrency in episode 13, season 31 on February 21, 2020? Is there anything that the Simpson's haven't talked about ? They have talked about everything and everyone .
I do not think that they would know who Satoshi is , I mean why would they ?
They are just trying to stir up some passive advertising. This is a well known trick that the companies uses therefore I do think you don't need to actually focus on something like this .
At least they are brave enough to teach their audience about things like these . Good thing for us Cheesy

The Simpsons are joking with Bitcoin, which is perfectly fine.I'm OK with that. After all we,the crypto supporters and enthusiasts are not a religious sect.We can handle a joke or two and maybe laugh,if the joke is really funny, which isn't the case.I'm waiting for other popular animated shows like "South Park" or "Rick and Morty" to start talking about Bitcoin.Love it or hate it,Bitcoin is becoming a part of the western(and global) pop-culture. If this was before Bitcoin was initiated, I would've wowed at it. The Simpsons of the past were well known for producing episodes that actually happen in the future. Coincidence or not, this brought Simpsons a lot of attention plus, it was really enjoyable. But that was back then. I believed the Simpsons of today is a shadow of its former self, and well, isn't really anything good.

Plus, it's a marketing campaign/joke. I mean, why wouldn't Binance talk about it? It features crypto after all. Why wouldn't it be shared to The Simpsons? It's getting quite relevant after all, especially in the major countries such as US and China.

Simpsons are a comedy show so this is made for funn. They talk on a funny way on all sorts of thems and persons so I don't actually see any special relevance regarding Bitcoin. If you think appearing in Simpsons was kind of progress for Bitcoin or a marketing move, no it's not, it's only a funny stuff.

Wait till Simpsons start to talk or predict cryptocurrency prices and buy/sell it. Because what they show during the cartoon usually happen in real life (like showing Trump would be a president). I trust them more than to any other predictors that shows market graphs and analizes it Wink

Any mention of Bitcoin in mainstream TV , has got to be good for adoption.
In fact bitcoin has been mentioned at least twice in the past in The Simpsons

1. Episode 7 Season 25 - Yellow Subterfuge -2013
Krusty talks about his bad luck in the Bitcoin market
2. Episode 1 Season 26 - Clown in the Dumps - 2014
The bully Jimbo Jones is pictured on a billboard, that says he now accepts bitcoin

On a final note here’s a Bitcoin Bart figure

Thanks for sharing.

That's why I find it interesting, it's also because some of their predictions came true and in this episode, they mentioned something about cryptocurrency being the future cash. They're talking about the future. And because of the Simpsons correct predictions, we can expect that what they said will happen in the future.

Some of their predictions were right and that's very fascinating. If ever they will predict on bitcoin's price in the future, I don't think I'll rely on it that much. I don't even rely too much on other predictions when it comes to Bitcoin prices. But if ever they will make predictions and it will come true, then that is something. But don't expect too much that they'll make predictions about it.

There's a lot of vision that came true from that cartoon show.
The recent vision of that show was when Kobe Bryant die.

Try to read more here:

Even it's a show, there's a probability over 50% that the content of that episode might happen in the future 'cause why would they make a joke with specific details of what happened? It's too accurate.

The Simpsons' author said to be a time traveler, I wonder how that is possible? Anyways, I'm excited about the revelation of the real Satoshi.

Well. it makes us three, I think.

I saw a detailed exposure of these predictions in The Simpsons. And I'm really glad that they advertise cryptocurrency, but this has nothing to do with the fact that it will somehow affect real life, it's ridiculous Grin

Well, we never know how complex people's minds function, people tend to take jokes seriously and serious matters as a joke.  And The Simpsons is quite successful in that, confusing people on what is a joke and what is not.

Nevertheless, this is quite an advertisement for the crypto industry.

Te Simpsons is a visionary show.

It is either a coincidence or someone made it happen.  If it is the latter, then we can say people behind The Simpsons are very powerful and influential.

The Simpsons is a shadow of its former self, the show went from having above 20 millions of viewers to below 4 millions as of now.
Yeah, but look how long the show has been on the air!  It would be hard for any show to remain relevant for that long--30 years if I'm not mistaken.  Anyway, the Simpsons has been incorporating contemporary issues into its episodes for quite a while now, so I'm not shocked to see this.  It's kind of cool, actually.

The Satoshi reference is just a joke to those in the know.  It's their attempt to be clever, which is another hallmark of the Simpsons.

The Simpsons have always given messages of that style, it is impressive because in a program that I saw of them, the scriptwriters look for specialists in each subject, in a chapter Homer placed some formulas of quantum physics, but they were formulas of current demonstrations, they were not fiction , in the case of Bitcoin they are showing in some way the future that exists, the great development that brings humanity apart, they talk about Satoshi, that is recognition, I am sure that many bitcoin skeptics are beginning to take the crypto world seriously.

This is one damn creepy cartoon to be honest. There are way too many events predicted in episodes for me to consider them purely coincidences. If they had predicted once or twice it would've been something, but it happened so many times I can't even count.

The Satoshi part is honestly really interesting. If these "conspiracy theories" are true and Simpson is directed by some shadow figures, then my older question pops up in my head once again: what if Bitcoin was created by some of the most powerful figures in the world in order to give us a false image of freedom when, in fact, the true purpose of it lays in providing us a smoother transition from fiat to digital?

Very interesting indeed.. Smiley
