Well probably new coins are coming up all the time, but which is the cheapest equipment which can work with the most mining techniques (which will not be on the shelf even if we stop mining a specific kind of coin)?

-What's the budget i should keep in mind if i want to make a decent rig which produces 20-40e per day minimum? (without deducting the costs of electricity etc.) Of course that depends on the market but, what do you say from a broader view?

If your're looking for a  mining equipment such as antminer I think the old models are not profitable and the new ones are the only equipments that's profitable but you can set up a GPU rig and the cheapest GPU is the RX 580 I think (Not sure tho) however I'm not sure if there's  some that is still available because according to the articles that I've read due to the popularity of this GPU in mining some of the places doesn't have enough stock.

For my personal opinion it depends on how many GPU's  you are going to build or kind of equipment you're going to buiy.

The best kind of rig for you is a GPU mining rig, because you can mine lot of coins, with Asics you'll be stricted to one algo

So you can build a rig of 5 or 6 GPUs, there are motherboards that support this number of GPUs, and if you buy a Ryzen processor, you can mine with the CPU too, being more efficient

About the cards, look for the new Nvidias, 1660 can be a good choice, cheap and can do a lot of algos

RX 580 is very cheap, and AMDs are very good, but we are coming to the end of ETH POW, so think about

Depends on your electricity costs man. a GPU is most flexible tho
20-40 EURO a day?  that will be more than a single rig, unless you plan on it having 15+ GPUs Tongue
a single RX580 makes like 50 cents USD a day right now, and thats without power costs :/
No asic will make that as a single machine either, anyone of them that DID the manufacturers kept to themselves till they were down to a few dollars a day
then they sell them to the public : /

Some things to think about anyways Smiley

Indeed probably, it is going to be a good option if i build a rig out of GPUs that i may find in best prices or just some special offers? can i just drop many different GPUs on the same rig? or should i go with the same models for the whole setup? should i use as much i can on the motherboard? or it is still ok if i use extra PCI extenders for the rig?

TLDR: No

The only people mining right now are people who already have bought and paid for hardware from years past or those with very cheap or free electricity.

I have a few cards mining right ETH and ETC right now, and they have been paid off for some years during the last cycle. But even without worrying about ROI it is still borderline as to the profitability with mining, i.e. is it cheaper (and easier) just to shut them off and buy ETH outright when its cheap.

I think that with the coming of new series of cards from both Nvidia and Amd we have the option to carefully choose good graphic cards with lower prices when new releases hit the market.Right now the market is full of graphic cards so a mining rig remains a good choice to start mining.

Look no other than Rx570 and Rx580, with 750$ you can get 5 pieces of RX570 and they are very profitable too in terms of Return of Investment

Mining is not worth yet, roi is around 3 years but if the coins rise a lot then it might but by then difficult will rise fast too, right now buying coins is thousand times better than mining because you dont need to do anything, just sit and wait, no hassle at all, mining is a lot work and because of that is not worth if roi is more than 200 days. Also for eth 4gb gpus will be done for by december this year and there is no way to know when mining eth will be done for, it could be 6 months or could be 6 years and as eth has been the mining force behind crypto in general, is just not worth it. I recommend anybody to buy eth every drop it has, yesterday it crashed to 210 usd, that was the time to buy it.

I believe GPU mining is still a thing, you can mine RYO(Ryocurrency) with cheap/low-memory GPU's such as GTX 1060(3GB) or Rx 580 (4GB), it's core dependent mining algorithm Cryptonight-GPU allows you mine it with low-memory cards and equally good for AMD and Nvidia GPUs.
For a new miner, I think RYO is the best coin to mine especially if you are looking for long-term profits because it is still relatively young project with low-difficulty right now, at the same time it is developing fast. So, it's up to you how you take advantage of it.

You can buy GTX 1060 which is pretty cheap as compared to others and you can still mine RYO with them even with 3GB memory. Thanks to its hash algorithm Cryptonight-GPU(Core dependent mining algorithm) which doesn't require high memory cards.

right now altcoin price drop from last week.

maybe altcoin drop more in march buy coin is better idea more than buy equipment to mine for profit future.

Go for new cards like RTX2060, it's power efficiency and better speed too, I can't give the real H/S of some algorithm like Ethash but I'm sure it's good for both Ethash and RandomX algorithm

I also suggest you to check mining systems like RagerX - you can earn XMR there, just by sharing your referral link and you can also mine monero there with your CPU
