Bitcoin can be banned as there are countries where it is fully prohibited.

The fact that in some countries prohibit the use of bitcoin does not mean that it has disappeared completely. I think that is what was meant.

I think it is not possible to ban Bitcoin at once but it will take a long time if banned It may stop using the country because the government of all countries does not support Bitcoin Every government wants taxes and taxes from where they can get no subsidy if they are not supported But you are right that the above discussion should be known to the newcomers.

Bitcoin transactions are traceable and it can be done by anyone if they know the address used for transaction,only its not possible to fin the individual who used that but if its from service point like exchange then its easy to find them if they use bitcoin for illegal transactions.
