I'm pretty sure a lot of people already knows that this has been the case since pretty much forever. At least tell us something new, you're running out of FUD topics.

Indeed. He is a serial/regular FUD spreader. It is easy to know from his post history and trust summary. I think the appropriate name of this account isn't Khaos77 but "Chaos". It fits with his habit to spread FUDs in order to lead chaos among crypto users.  Cheesy

Majority of Altcoins will be dead in less than 2 years.
Yes, but only shit-altcoins and weak altcoins to be dead. Especially, all shit-altcoins which are produced from ICO projects. While for Bitcoin and top altcoins, I think they will survive as long as people sell-buy on them. Commonly all people have understood about this, it makes people prefer to hold top altcoins or Bitcoin only currently. If you don't hold shit-altcoins or weak altcoins, no reasons to be so afraid!

Jihan Wu warns not to expect much.
He said, "may not spark a bitcoin price bull run". It doesn't mean that no chance for bullish. He just reminds us that no guarantee for bullish even if the halving is happening. Nothing to worry about it!

Or are you going to get a Clue and realized to get rich requires you find something other than Bitcoin?
Tell me your suggestion for the example of "something other than Bitcoin"? Invest in ZEITCOIN? or what??

~~ But at least answer the topic ~~

Although today we see a decent drop in the price of bitcoin (yesterday morning, according to the CoinMarketCap table, its price was $ 9,618, and today - $ 9,170), bitcoin will increase in price due to the fact that in May there comes a time to reduce the reward by half for each new mined block of bitcoin, which occurs every four years. We are based on practice, the price of bitcoin has always been growing at this time. And the graph of bitcoin prices for the first two months of this year clearly demonstrates its gradual and steady growth. The price of bitcoin is growing in a zigzag fashion, as some impatient ones put up more bitcoins for sale due to its price increase.

The OP could be right, look at the Litecoin Halving....splat..that went down...

I'm in this long term...but it is 'entirely' possible that halving is already factored in with the price...probably, if so, because

volume/adoption is not what I think BTC should be at now. I'll HODL anyway, but hard to deny the possibility with BTC looking

to go below 9k here soon, that halving could have little effect on price and indeed go sideways in price if not down. Sad

The thing is, I'm pretty sure a lot of us here are aware that no one knows what will happen at/after the halving(short-mid term) in the first place. No one with a decent knowledge in investing is saying that bitcoin is guaranteed to go up at the halving anyway. In fact, I've said multiple times that the price could definitely drop at the halving(short term). It's just being realistic and not being a brainless perma-bull. OP's arguments on the other hand..

I am bullish overall however I am also very nervous around the halving time. There are too many people out there that think "Less supply...more demand" which seems like a trade that you can't lose on however it isn't always the case.

Many looked at the first 2 halvings and saw that they were very profitable so they are assuming the 3rd halving will be the same. You need to realise that when the retail public is too bullish usually the complete opposite happens and same when the market is too bearish.

It would be ideal to trade sideways going into the halving but if we keep posting new weekly highs every week until halving then after halving might be a big dump and catch alot of people off guard.

You should know that no one really guarantees that someone will become rich because of bitcoin.
investing in bitcoin must be mentally prepared to accept high risk, don't expect to continue to benefit if you are not prepared to incur losses.
only steel-minded people can succeed in bitcoin, which is certainly not like you.

Do not forget that someone from the other side is buying this coins too. Otherwise, govt or hacker could not sell their coins.

So what are you going to do, when the price of Bitcoin verses fiat does not go up for the halving.

Many here act like it is an Guarantee, it is not.

Government are reselling criminal bitcoins,
Hackers are reselling the stolen bitcoin from Exchanges and the Rich,
Flooding the markets, and are going to keep doing it over and over.

Altcoin communities are not buying bitcoin to prop up their altcoins any more.
Majority of Altcoins will be dead in less than 2 years.

Even Jihan Wu warns not to expect much.

so unless the amount you have only needs say 2X or 3X to make you a millionaire, (even that is not guarantee)
otherwise you are screwed if you think it will make you rich.  Tongue

So are you going to keep drinking the BTC will make me Rich Kool-aid.
Or are you going to get a Clue and realized to get rich requires you find something other than Bitcoin?

 Cool
I see your point and I think you are right about it,
There are so many hacking incidents, scam project and many goverment reselling those criminals crypto,
I think that we should expect the price to drop down and yes there would be so many alt-coins that would die but those alt-coins are the worthless crypto.

So are you afraid for that speculation? Because you don't need to get panic with that statements since it's already speculations came out from them which has been used before, maybe they have certain agenda for spreading that but I suggest if you are doubting to see things coming in future better monitor the market movement if you have stock balance in your wallet, and for me I'm quite confident that we can see a good pump this 2020 or in year 2021.

Regardless of what happens after the Halving, if the only reason for buying Bitcoin is that you think the price will go up crazy, most likely you will lose your money.
The nature of the market is extreme volatility, and if you are not prepared to bear the losses, it is best to satisfy 12% that banks offer you.

I support the theory that the price will go down, but the more the price collapses, the more likely it is that we will see crazy highs, "Don't forget that the price is around 3,000 dollars a few months ago."

It is good that we have not heard news like Bitcoin is a bubble or that the price will return to 1 dollar.

The Bitcoin economy is maturing, and halving has already been factored into the price. Successive halving will make them less and less important in the future. The Corona Virus fake pandemic is being used as a black swan event to correct share prices, and to lose fiat debt. As part of this the price of Bitcoin is being manipulated to prepare for the new banking cryptos. It will stay volatile, and give us some good scalping runs, but the long term prospects have to be very positive - just take care on the journey, as there are a lot of pot holes, hills, and collapsed bridges to negotiate.

You have put quite some effort into all that bullsh*t.
Of course, whoever reads only the title or the things you wrote without using their brain to read a tad more, they deserve their fate.
But for most it's just a wasted effort.

BTW, you sound so sure like you'd know the future, at least the lows. Can you tell us when will the new low happen so we buy only then?

Once you get a better understanding of bitcoin you'll notice that that comment is unrealistic.  One cannot simply "keep doing it over and over" with bitcoin.  Bitcoin has a finite sum for its circulation.

The people selling will stop selling when they run out of their bitcoins.

One cannot keep selling them forever since there a finite set of bitcoins...  I think I am repeating myself.

Actually I think that anything is possible, the increase or decrease will be based on many factors. And halving will be a factor that will change the value of BTC. But with news and data from the past, i are aiming for BTC to the moon after halving, which can take a while to wait and see the value of BTC really moon.  Grin

Try reading the news instead of staring into your own ass all day long.  Wink

Try to stay sober from time to time. Maybe you could get some sleep now, maybe you get a glimpse of reality when you wake up.

I think this man is a member of some project that wants to take over the current popularity of Bitcoin. the thing is, whatever you said is nothing to us. from the start we have known the possibilities of the outcome of the incoming BTC halving and most of us think the result of the market today is the beginning of the awaited price increase. instead of telling people about your opinion just focus on how you will get your hands into this trend because sooner or later the price will rise again.

...

Government are reselling criminal bitcoins,
Hackers are reselling the stolen bitcoin from Exchanges and the Rich,
Flooding the markets, and are going to keep doing it over and over.

...

Ok, you are confused, I shall explain.

Step 1:
Criminal gets Caught,
Bitcoins get Confiscated.
Government Sells Bitcoins Back to Public for FIAT!
Public Buys Drugs with Bitcoin from Criminals
GOTO STEP 1:

If you can not see this is an endless loop , then you are not paying attention.  Smiley

Ah yes, I see now.

This happened to maybe one or two bitcoins.  There are currently over 18 million bitcoins in circulation, I am not sure that a few bitcoins handled by criminals will have such an effect.

Possibly a more dangerous threat may happen when Mars goes into a retrograde orbit and effects the mining machines in China.  Due to extra varying electro-gravitational effects some of those machines may get some of their processing bits flipped, thus causing those machines to not contribute to finding a block, thus allowing machines in Iceland a greater chance to find a block.  This temporary imbalance in mining power across the globe may have drastic effects on who is selling more bitcoins, thus lowering or raising the price.

One thing is for sure: the price of bitcoin tomorrow will either go up, go down, or remain the same.
