Didn't take long for someone to take advantage of the downtime.

Quote
Dear users, We apologize for our extended outage period. We are working very hard to ensure our services return 100% as soon as possible. As we mentioned previously, the outage was caused by a bug in some database handling code. Please rest assured that your wallets are safe and this outage does not affect the security of funds or the completion of executed transactions. For Complete verification click here

Code:
blockchain.bz

Fake website, do not visit.

The funny part is, running a WHOIS search pulls up something very interesting.

http://www.whois.com/whois/blockchain.bz

Check the registered email and run a search and see what pops up:

Code:
http://cardingforum.org/showthread.php?t=13985
http://crdpro.su/archive/index.php/t-13983.html
http://zepequenoabh.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/zepequenoabh-t3es-big-scammmers.html
http://www.stopforumspam.com/ipcheck/84.33.17.230

You would think if your going to run a phishing site you wouldn't use your email that you use for your illegal activities.

nice one :

** If you see a mensage that it's a risk page ignore it.
** If your already enter the correct details, you don't need to insert it again.
Since our last update on our servers, we worried about the size of wallets. And many of these wallets are no funds, no movement and no logins.

Because to avoid future problems with our servers, we are requesting that all users wishing to continue with their wallets to make a brief confirmation.

If you want to continue using your account on Blockchain, please click the link below and confirm your wallet:
https://blockchain.info/wallet/confirm/

If within 48 hours we do not receive your confirmation, your wallet will be erased and all their bitcoins will be reset.

That is the exact message I received on the 29th.  Obviously phishing. But this begs the question, how was my email compromised and what else is going on a blockchain.info that we are not being told?

You have 3 email id's on your profile, if you got email on other private email, that's because you probably used it in some shady bitcoin related website.

I see your point. The scammer may not know if I actually have a blockchain.info wallet (except that now I just confirmed to the world that I do). Your suggesting he might have sent the email to everyone in the forums.
Thanks
