This should be a strong message to Newbies here hoping to make some cool cash on this platform from bounties and Airdrop. although the platform promotes cryptocurrencies projects with fairness, there are scammers here parading as honest people.
Make sure never to use your official Email account OR any important email account that hold some certain official information about you to join any campaigns. i will always advice users here to create a separate email account for bounties and a different email for your cryptocurency and exchange platforms.

Never ever share the email account used for wallets and online trading platforms with Bounty programs here..   it is risky and you might get hacked. including those platform that request for authentication with mobile phone. if you can get a different line, go for it.

Security matters first in the cryptocurrency business.
Be safe.

Additionally,  I would only use new addresses to receive money from those bounties.
I see some users using old addresses with lots of funds in bounties.
It is unsafe as you may become a target.

Few additional from me
1. Don't use the same password for your account, make sure it different. Newbies can read this [GUIDE] How to Create a Strong/Secure Password a tip from @GreatArkansas

2. 1 email per project or bounties, it will be nice. So, if one account got hacked not affected to another account

3. Check before download any wallet, maybe it contains viruses, Newbies can read this thread Report Malware and Suspicious Links here so Mods can take Action ! a thread from Lafu

4. Be selective, sometimes you think if the project is good, is not good as you think.

5. Don't look bounty manager, but look from project team view. Bounty manager is not a core team member, if the project becomes a scam, BM can be a victim too.

In the end, Do with your own research

I just want to add to this. If you frequently download and install wallets for bounties(though I really don't recommend altcoin bounties in the first place), install VirtualBox[1], download a Windows(or Linux) OS .iso, and install your wallets on that VM instead. That way, if the VM gets compromised, you're main workstation is going to be fine.

Few additional from me too.
1- what did you meant by using the same password for my account? If you mean to frequently change the password for my btt account then it's ok but this is for some security measures and not related to bounties.
2- It will be so hard to create a new email for each bounty i join. I will have to spend much more time/effort than what the reward worths. Better to create two or three separate emails only for bounties, it will be easy to check them frequently without being confused.
3- I don't advice anybody to install wallets from non verified sources. At extreme cases, follow the advice from mk4 in the reply above.
4- You can't be selective in a risky market. This is what bounties are made for, you have to share the risk of not to succeed. It will be better if you join bounties for projects you can understand its approaches but this wouldn't also get sure that this is a successful project.
Bounties are a kind of gambling, think it in this way as you will never be an objective selective in a market where 98% oc the projects are scams or worthless.
5- Same as number 04.

Finally, avoid joining bounties and airdrops. Go find a real life job, there is no free money.

Someone can use same email, same password for all accounts, you know many new project need to register on their website to join their bounty, thats why i say DON'T use same password.

2- It will be so hard to create a new email for each bounty i join. I will have to spend much more time/effort than what the reward worths. Better to create two or three separate emails only for bounties, it will be easy to check them frequently without being confused.
But i can create easy email for bounty, of course using service that not needed to verify my phone.

3- I don't advice anybody to install wallets from non verified sources. At extreme cases, follow the advice from mk4 in the reply above.
Am i suggest them to install? no, Ijust say re-check Smiley

It will be better if you join bounties for projects you can understand its approaches but this wouldn't also get sure that this is a successful project.
It's mean you are selective to decide to join, right? so it's not different with my comments before Smiley

Finally, avoid joining bounties and airdrops. Go find a real life job, there is no free money.
You are telling member to avoid bounties and airdrops, but you have signature campaign, are you kidding, The different with @OP you don't need to register with your email to join this campaign or bounties.
Someone hard to find a real job, they join bounties for another chance to get money, nothing wrong with that, I have real job, i join a bounty such as signature campaign too, this is to find another way.

1: Scan the wallet before Installing in your device.
2: Never join bounties with closed eyes (Do your research about Core Team)
  • if a project hasn't mentioned their team on the website or in Whitepaper do not join.
What Is a Crypto Airdrop?
A cryptocurrency airdrop is a marketing stunt that involves sending free coins or tokens to wallet addresses to promote awareness of a new currency.

Someone hard to find a real job, they join bounties for another chance to get money, nothing wrong with that, I have real job, i join a bounty such as signature campaign too, this is to find another way.
You seems to be somehow mistaken between bounties and bitcoin based sig campaigns.
Signature campaign i used to join are not categorised under Bounties or airdops, i rent my sig space for a specific amount of bitcoin (real money) just like the forum rent spaces for ads, does it mean that the admin joins bounties!?
It may be categorised under Bounties section if i join signature for an ICO or to advertise a new token and get paiement in unknown token. With bounties you share the risk of the project to fail and in most cases bounty hunters have little to none information about the projects they promote so they will get the bounty (like a gift/reward) if the project succeed.
More than 90% of the projects advertised using a bounty program are either scams or useless, you can check this by yourself in many ways. There is no reason to encourage more users to join those programs as it's a worthless job that will consume so much efforts for almost nothing.
Better advice them to build a trusted profile and join sig campaigns for extra income in btc from being here.

<snip>

Whatever you call it, in my view it same, of course many moderators or top member have same signature for rent because companies ask them directly to use signature of their project.

But, for some member even they are using signature with BTC payment, it's not because renting, but they are register to get slots with BTC payment. Event this campaign not in bounties section, any campaign with token/altcoin doing same as you, apply to get a slots and i mean it was same as bounty, the different things is, they are just paid with their token or alts.

Skip nothing to reply. We have different few about this campaign. Wink

Thank you for sharing Wink

In fact,  users with good reputation here and trusted profile can become staff,  moderators,  campaign managers,  or become part of other paid projects here.
It's like in the real world,  many people apply but only the best receive reward.
Regarding btc campaigns,  there are some scams but some campaigns are legit and from the real companies, and they are using their campaigns here for promotion.
I suggest newbie to always check company behind signature project and reputation of manager.

Security matters first in the cryptocurrency business.
Be safe.

Yeah your right safety is everything for us here that's why we need to separate our emails,account details and others to each other so that we will be away from unfortunate attacks and sadly I experience to get hack before since I participate on airdrop but luckily it's just a small amount.

So for newbies better to be aware on this things and remember safety is our priority since we cannot get what we lose if we are targeted by them.

In joining bounties Wallet and emails is the most important, so better protect it and have some extra protection, install ad blocker, phishing protection, Bookmark important websites, antivirus (updated virus definition)

I use this extensions and software, you can also find some alternatives.

Antivirus  - SmadAV and Built-in Windows Defender.
Phishing Protection - MetaCert
Adblocker - uBlock Origin

My advice for newbies would be the following - before you send your bounty reward tokens or coins, always search for review and comment about the exchange where project is listed. Specially if the bounty promised to make you rich and its rules were extremely easy. Because some projects are listed on a scam exchanges. You will either lose your fund, or send KYC to nowhere, or get caught by fake pump.

~~~
I hope the advice shared here can be understood by most bounty hunters who are new users or higher ranking users. Risking personal data such as KYC for a few dollars is an unreasonable and very bad effort because it may not be proportional to the security of the data provided. In the past I might have done the same thing and it was really disappointing, being a bounty hunter wasnt as easy as imagined because there were lots of things to consider before promoting the campaign until the tokens wanted to be traded.
Security, thats what all bounty hunters must always consider if they dont want to get scammed and never risk your important data for just a few dollars. Consider before you send KYC on an exchange or project platform, because you might not be able to control your data after you send it. KYC for some exchanges may be a wise effort because it complies with rules made by the government, but it will also have a negative impact on users if the data is used without permission.
Finally, avoid joining bounties and airdrops. Go find a real life job, there is no free money.
It is funny to suggest one thing and do the opposite! people are free to do whatever they want as long as they respect and become responsible for their actions.
The most important things around the world of cryptocurrency is it security and safety. Newbies should ensure to imbibe the culture of saving their passwords on a safe place to retrieve when needed. Also, they should stay away from clicking of external links sent to them by hackers, by clicking of the links you're prone to hacking  especially when there is good funds in your wallet. Stay away from exposing yourselves to friends about your worth in term of cryptocurrency earning.
Yes they are free to do whatever they can be responsible for. Please consider the difference between renting your profile stuff for real money and joining bounties/airdrops of ico for a hope to sell the unknown token for an equitable price. I can't say that joining signature campaigns is a real job as it generates an income (like doing freelance with your skills of posting) when i can confirm that joining bounties/airdrops is a total waste of time.
5. Don't look bounty manager, but look from project team view. Bounty manager is not a core team member, if the project becomes a scam, BM can be a victim too.
Agreed. The project is the one we promoted and better to check it rather than prioritizing the Manager's profile or what. But Ive noticed mostly on BTC paid signature is their priority or added trust for a campaign is the manager. When it comes to altcoin, my concern too is the project, but having it handle by a good manager and reputable is no doubt an advantage too or plus since we all knew that they will not be tempted for some quick offer or huge one even the campaign is a scam one.
More to add on this thread. stay away from twitter airdrops. Majority are scams. they are paid bots trying to gain more followers and attention. the best you can do is stick to bitcointalk forum for better infor on new projects and what it stands for.
