Brought Bitcoin in 2017 and sold in 2018

Selling at a loss is not good, maybe you got FOMOd during that time, and let that experience of yours as a lesson that you have to learn.
Crypto market is always here, the price could go up and down, what you need is just timing but you won't be able to do that without patience.

I don't want to say I am perfect as I also made some mistakes selling, but that mistake was due to the fact that I don't have a choice anymore, I need money that time so I have to sell at a loss, but I learn I should not get anything from my investment and I should be willing to hold it for long term.

There will be bull run and we will see another ATH of bitcoin and altcoins, that's what I am hoping now.

you are not only the unluckiest person there are lots of unluckiest person. Even I didn't many coins in 2017 & 2018 and few coins are dead, few coins are surviving but price is almost cent from dollars. but I don't think much about that because if I think about that more and more I will get nothing without pain. Now I am holding bitcoin and few top rated coins and hoping for it. Better don't try to remember your past.
Here is my tips for you.you can start trade for low amount. Try to buy in low price and sell in high price. but don't put all of your money.try in small amounts it will help you recover your money, not all but few. I did it and it helped me a lot to recover my money.

Sorry to hear about that. But you are not alone experiencing that. Buying at peak is the worst case. I did that before so many times. We always have a choice in crypto investing.
  -That is to hold and hold even if it takes longer than expected.
 -Or wait for that coin of yours to pump at least 20% and sell it even at loss then compensate it to other coins. That works fine for me.

I can understand this, I mean people do have fear in them and they have always feared that they may lose a lot more money. Maybe you and I know what bitcoin is and when to buy and when to sell, however newer people do not know that and I can understand it. When you have 50k that suddenly starts to worth 10k, you are afraid that you will lose that 10k as well, that is why it is seriously impossible to put yourself in their shoes since everyone has different emotion levels.

Some people feel a lot worse during the same thing than you and I may feel. That’s not the end. You just have to relax, there is still the opportunity for you to make profit back. You just need to have patience till the price of bitcoins crypto assets gets back to the top. The only thing is that it’s probably going to take a long time before the price goes up again, and with the current situation I don’t really know if we should still be hoping for an increase to take place this year.

I have been expecting the bull run to take place this year after the halving on May, but I don’t really know how it’s going to be now that this pandemic has taken place. But if this year should pass, I believe next year wouldn’t.

Yes. There's no use of bringing your mistakes into the present time because it will only disappoint you and lose your focus on your current investment. This is an extreme worst-case that also happened to me. By having altcoins by those days, I also experienced this, holding altcoins which almost 50% lost on those days, what I did was I converted all of them to Bitcoin and no regrets, I accepted all my lost before but I am still positive since I converted those in Bitcoin and hoping that Bitcoin will able to cover those losses.

Perhaps the biggest mistakes you have is selling them and then putting it into an altcoin such as Stellar and Ripple. I don't understand why you bought those two altcoins, or what made you sell your bitcoin in the first place.

You can sell them obviously, but it will be a big lost to you. So you have no options right now but to hold and wait for the imminent bull run in 2020-2022. I do hope that you have the mental toughness to hold that two coins that long.

don't be weak friend, you just need to wait. this year, a year of great potential. if the coronavirus doesn't spread, I think you can get your chance back. for now, it's best to hold the assets that you have, because you've held it this far. many people have the same fate as you. for now, you just need to wait until this virus problem is finished and wait for the second chance to be brought down by halving. hope that the changes that will occur will be very large.

Holding Means your capacity to Wait and take longer time before getting your price,don't just put time frame instead put a Price expected and that will be your pattern to sell because Volatility will always there to bring panic to us.

For sure that most of them had already sell off their coins for cheap and trying to recover on investing or buying back on cheaper price.This market is always unpredictable

Spending that huge amount of bitcoin just for a pizza is normal that time since Bitcoin has a tiniest value and it took years before finding out the true value.

That was a very unfortunate for you man, but not only you haha. I've also experienced a bad trade and prediction although the market is continously going high there will be a point somewhere on top that it will go down due to speculation. So if you lost then your speculation is against the many, vice versa, that's why winning on this industry is really hard coz you're against all the odds but I must say this to you, winning a trade is really an achievement especially when you hit big.
