Is closing an account on the wallet www.blockchain.com not possible via ticket request to their support?

I've created a ticket to close my account and they answer me but it seems they don't want to start the procedure to close my account so nobody can use my login data anymore.

Anybody who has succeeded to close/delete his account on blockchain.com?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

It's not possible to deactivate/delete your account.

Not sure why you would care if somebody login to an empty wallet, but you can simply change the password to something that you can't remember.

Nothing related

It depends on the company itself and its policy, a web wallet or an exchange doesn't matter. For example, you can close your Coinbase account (I did it) but can't close your blockchain.com account. You can do it with Kraken.com but can't do it with Bitstamp.

So it's not like: you can close an account on an exchange but can't with a web wallet. As I said it totally depends on the enterprise (for security reasons, cleaning the database, laws,...)

Change the password and the email and you're done

So a complicated password will suffit

So, your purpose is to delete the blockchain account just to keep your password safe?

Even you delete the account from blockchain it still recorded from their database. But if your purpose is to make your password safe to anyone changing the password is enough as suggested above.

And honestly, it's not safe to reuse the password to other exchanges or websites. If you want to be safe always use different passwords to other websites and use a notes where you can put all of your passwords(In case you forgot the password you can check back your notes to remember)

As @PotatoChips mentioned, there is no interest in the account except in personal information as the transactions that you have made will remain recorded and no one will be able to delete them.
Regarding personal data, they claim that they cannot access the password and therefore, once you change it to an impossible password cracking, you will be safe.

Did you verify your identity on the account?

Even is someone from support tell them that is his account closed, what is the guarantee that it is really deleted from the database?
I guess they have all public addresses created by there stored somewhere in the database and related to user ID/key and password, so he can't delete any public address, why would they have the option to delete other related parameters to them.
