I wonder how many hours did this scammer wasted by copying and pasting from another whitepaper, creating that website, as well as creating accounts for various social media just to be reported on the very first comment on his thread. Lol

Even though you commissioned someone to do it for you. I dont think you can easily be forgiven for doing plagiarized. Of course its your responsibility to cross checked all the information and even before publishing the whitepaper since its a technical data which most investor take into consideration.

It seems that you or ABF COMBA team hired a freelance to make whitepaper for your project and submitted whitepaper to the team. Hence team can't avoid liability. They needed to check after the whitepaper submission and here team's faults too. Before making ANN thread, team should be more serious about their project.

all forms of plagiarism, certainly not received including this white paper. instead, plagiarism white papers from other projects will increasingly indicate that it is a project scam and it is better not to participate and report any form of plagiarism.

is this the right place to apologise for the plagiarized white paper. you need to move to the right avenue and channel your apologies. i doubt if this apology is accepted and if it is, what is the next move by you guys. you need to start everything afresh and put it down to avoid infringement from the real owners.

In the first why you did not do research if the work you commissioned turn out to be a plagiarized whitepaper, there are a lot of tools that you can use to check if work is plagiarized, now your project is ruin, because you have not done the right thing and no one will believe you now whitepaper is very important it tells everything about the project.

What more can we expect from a company whose whitepaper is written and edited by a freelancer without any verification from the team.
I bet the idea about the project itself was created by some freelancer and the person just owns the website and the wallet to fill the coins in.

You know what's funny is this excuse is used by projects that got busted having a plagiarized white paper 99% of the time. Even if this is really the case, I always wonder:

- why didn't the project managers / developers / CEO / president / whoever think to check the white paper for plagiarism before uploading it to their website?

- why would anybody want to purchase coins / tokens from a project that don't even write their own white paper, or seemingly don't care about its contents?

Its a sign of laziness and not being committed to their own project, which can either mean it is a scam project or at best a bad investment.

Copying words for words, or copying ideas from crypto-based whitepaper? Well, I assume it depends on the creators of the whitepaper, (if they want their ideas to be copied or not). Besides, crypto communities are expected to share/borrow ideas.
So, it's better to see what others can do with your work when they copy and modify it. And it's not moral or ethical to prevent others who want to copy from you what you copied from others in real decentralized crypto communities.

It's clearly wrong to copy a whitepaper word for word. Probably better to read a crypto-project whitepaper, and create an original concept (with reasonable modifications), whether it's a bit similar in tech or not.

The dev team has the responsibility to check the documents that are being published as these will reflect their team. Though they admitted such action, we don't know the real reason behind this scenario. I doubt that they don't know about the plagiarized whitepaper. That important document should be reviewed by the team themselves and not only done by freelancer. Plagiarism is common in crypto projects because it is really hard to start from scratch. But if they will copy from someone's work, they should paraphrase and not copy word for word. Also, include them on their reference section.

I don't understand why you would hire someone else to write a whitepaper. If you cannot express your thoughts and your plans in your own words, you should learn how to. The best people to know about the project is the core team members themselves.

No one can trust you, since you now have bad reputation (plagiarized whitepaper).

As anyone said, it's your fault too since if you hire a freelancer to handle you whitepaper, you can check it with your team to confirm it.

Left = ABF Comva
Right = DLT (Dalong Token) https://dalong.com/static/DLT_Whitepaper_en.pdf

Left = ABF Comva
Right = Vianex Gold https://vianex-org.site/

And, you not only do plagiarized whitepaper, you also do plagiarized to your website. Are you want to said this because your freelancer again?

Plagiarism is an act that is not commendable, we must not tolerate plagiarism in this forum, but projects that do not commit plagiarism are indeed no guarantees for not committing fraud, but with the anti-plagiarism campaign, new projects will certainly have to think originally.

If you are not writing a whitepaper, how do you think that people will understand your project. Whitepaper refers to projects information and formation of the project. How a random freelancer will write that? Did Satoshi hire a freelancer for writing a whitepaper?

Absolutely right. If team don't know how to write a whitepaper or what to write in whitepaper, how a freelancer will write their whitepaper? Team should provide information and freelancer uses that information for write a whitepaper. Team here is liable why they didn't cross check the work of the hired freelancer.

I assume you both are right, but lets imagine next situation - they've had no time to deal with whitepaper because of idk what, and they had to pull a freelancer for this work.
they've collected all data about projected and handed to the freelancer, but he did his job poorly by copying part of other project's white paper.
Now we have to guess if it was freelancer's fault or not.
