I have been mulling over a concept for an innovative altcoin for awhile now. It would hopefully help solve some of the prevalent problems we have on this forum, but also be fair, serve a purpose and basically try its best to not be *scammed*. The base for the coin is not that important, how it is used "is" important. I'm curious if anyone has a favorite "base"?  I actually like the cpu coins because they give everyone a fair share, but can see the desire to go with a gpu based coin as well. Some thoughts are:

- litecoin clone = gpu + new scrypt asics
- litecoin n-factor = gpu
- cpu coin options = quark, or one of the new variations

Assuming I go with a cpu coin would Quark be the best or is there a new, better base that can be used?  Any thoughts/comments appreciated.

Cheers,
Mark

Nothing is innovative anymore.  WE NEED ADOPTION of cryptos period.  IE, stop trying to make moar coins - just let me buy my mcdonalds and pay my car insurance and internet bill directly with BTC.

If you really want something innovative - make an entity that ties in directly with a coin such as bitcoin or litecoin or megacoin - something to where you can hold X coins and they will then be converted to be used as a surety bond to guarantee health insurance or car insurance or FHA insurance.  Stop looking for ways to cash in on creating copypasta coins - make changes to allow new coins to supplement existing infrastructure.

Crypto doesn't become the world reserve currency unless the USD goes to the toilet - but the who fate of the current financial sector and its trillions in assets and debt are tied into the preservation of the current USD which is why I say to forget trying to make something new/groundbreaking on the crypto development front.

Good point but this is not another "make me money" coin. It's meant to solve exactly some of the problems you mentioned with too many cryptos. You'll understand more when it's released.

Come in here, dear boy, have a cigar.
