They will pretend to be the exchange help service and they will ask you to make deposit to get your issue resolved, honestly if you aren't familiar with scammers you can easily fall victim
Scammers have been on this game since i joined this space years back and i must say they've been able to scam a lot of people a huge fortune. It's still surprising how they never seems to get tire of scamming people because they still exist at large even with the fact that people are aware of such scam patterns. I just hope everyone will stop falling victim to such unfortunate beings

I think this is a common thing that everyone know how to avoid the scammer and the devs are also actively banning the scammer.

This is no longer news, I see those people always trying to give you assistance even though you never requested fro it, this is reason why most telegram admins both the ones in exchange group or non exchange group often attach to their account name "admin will never pm you first" so any scammer pretending to be an admin who will pm you first will be known and reported.

You are very right bro, I have also experienced it a scammer pretending to be an admin of an exchange telegram group approach me in pm to assist me with my problem, then I ask him/her to quote my post in the group chat so I can see his/her admin tag he couldn't and that's where the conversation ended, I know newbies can easily fall into trap of this kind of scammers so very important to enlighten them.

Good suggestions at least benefit us too. Normally when there is something we want to ask, certainly confirm first with the authorities in the project at least admin and when there are suspicious indications confirm it back to BM (Bounthy Manager) because the scammers are always waiting as if they are able to resolve the problem following the request other, soo..be careful guys.

I have faced this problem every time when I asked help in any familiar crypto exchange group! This is why all the exchange's admin wrote in their name that Admin won't pm you first! It's always safer to write to support team on exchanges instead of going to telegram where scammers are patiently waiting for their preys or just block direct messages on telegram. Top projects or top exchange's telegram group are full of scammer . They text you first. And they pretend like they are admin of those group. And they try to solve your problem. Be sure to double-check accounts with official tags. If you get a message from them, then immediately tell the Exchange Team whether it is real or scam.

The scam sections are full of threads or topics about telegram scamming, people should educate themselves on how these scammers works they should find time to read all those posted in the scam sections, your funds or money is at stake here, always in doubt if someone wants to chat with you in any social media sites and telegram.

This happens so much, in every group, you find scammers not just exchange groups, when you need help be sure you are chatting with the right authority, those in charge will never send message to you first, but scammers will always initiate a chat,so when on telegram or any social platform be guided to avoid loss.

This is for all newbies and those who don't know, please share among friends
Every single telegram channels or groups of crypto exchanges are tagged by scammers, be extremely careful
The moment you have a problem with an exchange you will instantly get messages from people claiming to be team of the exchange, you can get the following messages
1. How can we help you? 2. What problem are you facing on our exchange?
They will pretend to be the exchange help service and they will ask you to make deposit to get your issue resolved, honestly if you aren't familiar with scammers you can easily fall victim
Group channel of exchanges like binance, kucoin, Okex, huobi are full of scammers waiting for people that needs the team help to resolve an issue, be wise
Exactly, there are just many of them in different telegram groups. They find their way into exchange telegrams to scam innocent people having one or two challenges. I have experienced many of them sending me unsolicited messages. But if you look at their telegram name very well, you will see a little difference from that of the real admin. Just watch out for any one that pm you first, real admin will not pm you first, it's very rear.

Thanks for saying this, I think a lot of people need to know this because I see more and more getting scammed or screwed over and blaming it on the community as a whole.

I had the same experience when I enquired about one token trading on the Bitforex channel. Immediately after that, I received a personal message asking how help can be given to me. At that point itself, I realized that he was a scammer because my query was already resolved in the cannel itself by channel admin. We should never entertain messages "initiated" by users impersonating admins of that groups.

That's why you must be smart enough in this industry to fight these scammers to a stand still, they exist but have nothing or less damage to those who know the signs of a scammer. Have encountered them severally and was able to dicode their tactics and quickly encouraged myself to wait for the exchange admins. Falling prey to these cheap stuff aren't good of those who have been into cryptocurrency, but for those newbies, be more vigilant in your doings.

You are right, most telegram group like that are full of scammers who are ready to take advantage of the people that have issue like that, most time they act very nice to one to the extent that one will think you are saved from scammers not knowing you are in already. One just need to beware. Thanks for the insight.

How to deal with them? I myself got into a situation taking them for the official representative of the exchange, in the general chat of the exchange. I think people themselves are trusting, and until you yourself are careful nothing, and no one will help. Usually fraudsters are good psychologists and offer quick money, people themselves are to blame, they want everything at once and a lot, without asking for any work and knowledge, they are not even interested in reading stories and methods of dealing with fraudsters in the press until they touch on themselves.

They are to many of them in a top exchange telegram group pretending to be a admin, But I know they are scammer because if we read the rules of the telegram that would be no admin PM first. And Ill think the could be a victim on that are those new in crypto, Because one of those scammer are good in talking on how to get people to stay attention on them. Must better if we want to join the telegram groups we must read some rules they have to be aware for those scammer.

I have faced this problem every time when I asked help in any familiar crypto exchange group! This is why all the exchange's admin wrote in their name that Admin won't pm you first! Binance did a great job, to prevent these shit scammers, binance closed all the help services from telegram! If you need any kind of help, you have to ask through Binance website help desk, not in telegram group!

Be it small or big exchange or project Telegram group, it's always on the watch list of scammers. What we should know is that no Telegram admin will pm anyone first no matter the situation so when we get these pm asking to assist us we should be quick to hit the report as spam button. This is the way out. No admin will pm a group member first. Every pm is an impersonator.

Scammers are all over the place, wether in ICO, IEO or any kinds of projects in the telegram lurking to get their victims. If you are having some trouble with your exchange account don't even bother message them in telegram, just message them directly from their ail support to seek for help for that would only be able to get respinse from legitimate members of the exchange or the project or message with.

Always bear in mind that admins of top exchanges wont pm a member, if someone message you pretending an admin check thier username. Not only on exchanges groups but also in bounty project groups , they will make a post and looking for the bounty project manager about the listing on thier exchange for low amount.
