Do you stop gambling in a time of crisis?

These days we're suffering an economic global crisis and in my case, I do stop gambling. For some, no one can stop doing it because they are financially supported. So it really depends on a person capable to do gambling when crisis happens.

Indeed, choosing to stop when a crisis and not having financial support is a choice that must be made, gambling is not an activity that is required to be made at any time so any choice is made, I feel it is not a problem if they can do it with full consideration of all risks which exists. At least that is a decision that I usually make, because after all to gamble we must have a good consideration so that we can have control to stop or continue gambling.

If our resources is only little and will support your family enough then why consider gambling when there is a chance that your family will be Hungry if you risk the money ,i think better not to gamble and just focus in real life chances and not by luck.

practicality wise?make living easy without gambling ,there are no much happy if you and family is full and not being hungry specially in crisis .

Its just a dumb thing for you to decide if you do risk up your families survival just to fulfill your satisfaction of your gambling addiction.

time to assess your financial situation here i guess? i dont think people in their right mind will take the risk of gambling in exchange of his family's food. ok if you will be the only one that will suffer hunger but if others are depending on you. maybe time for you to park your selfish desires!!

Well I pretty much exclusively play poker at brick and mortar casinos, so I will certainly be completely stopping that.

That said, I won't be stopping entirely.

I will use this time to finally find out which HUD is the best, and will probably start taking up online Poker.

I've always avoided it since I've heard about the rampant cheating, but I guess it's time to give it a go.

in crisis there is no one is financially supported unless you are a son of a very high profile person or government personality lol.
and also there is more important thing to prioritize than gambling in time of crisis,storing foods,and maintaining our family safe and fed.

I see no reason to stop gambling if everything is fine with your financial side. In addition, during a crisis, it can be very pleasant to pass the time for gambling.
BUT the majority has the opposite situation, business is suffering losses due to quarantine, which means that people have less money. Rational use of your resources will help to pass crisis times much easier.

poker and casino in my opinion has its own interests because on the one hand you will definitely feel curious and when gambling in poker and casino there is a pleasure you get when playing it so you will always be interested in poker and casino as it is today.

Same here, even though the global crisis due to the corona virus does not really affect my life (in case of economical thing) but now I gamble less than what I used to do before.
It is obviously to prepare for the worst case if the global crisis goes even worst unexpectedly.

On contrary I think people gamble more in times like this, maybe not too much but people who are really hardcore gamblers must be gambling even harder, people who didn't had time because they had to take care of stuff like work or job or their business and whatever that goes outside and does something and come home to gamble, will now have all the time in the world to gamble.

Definitely, there could be some gamblers who stopped during this time but the hardcore ones must be cover the difference and then some when they gamble even more, people who gamble less than 0.01 btc must be not thinking about this right now but people who gamble like 30 btc a month must be gambling like crazy. When you take away all the responsibilities from a gambler and give them all the time in the world, you will get more wagered.

 I personally had so much to think about during this time that it was basically impossible for me to think about gambling. I really wanted to get some sort of games going around so I can watch them and feel a bit relaxed but they are cancelled as well. People talk about the gambling but I really miss just getting few beers sitting in front of my tv and basically going numb for couple hours while watching the games, that was my relaxation, now thats gone and I have to find something else.

 In any case, I do not think about gambling, that wasn't even remotely in my mind, I think about all the ways I might be screwed financially because of this corona virus thing and how much it may affect me, when you consider stuff like that, you are literally in no position to think about which game you want to gamble.

I only gamble the extra money that I have so in times of crisis like this one, I will surely stop gambling if I have no extra money. Gambling is only good if you have nothing to do and you have extra money in your wallet or account but if you are going to gamble the money that are allocated for your needs then it is not a good idea.

This time of crisis like a total lock-down will happen within a month or more than, then it is best to save up any money that you have and stop/pause your gambling session so you are prepared to what happen in the future and for you to sustain also your needs.

Yes, you are right. Many people become addicted to gambling because they lost control when they played. They tempted with their greediness, so that makes them play more and more and try to win the games. No matter if we are in the crisis or not, we must control ourselves in gambling because we cannot always win the game, but we can get the loss many times.

During this time, people who play gambling at casino needs to stop from playing gambling because many casinos have shut down temporarily, and that is a prevention to avoid the virus spreads to many people. It is better for them if they can stop for a while, and that can be the way for them to reduce their time in gambling, and they can stay at homes with their family.

I realized something though.

I gamble online after my job. When the pandemic started affecting our country and working home is in effect, it is hard to gamble online and I feel like I am bored doing it for a longer time, it is like I got tired of gambling. I am not addicted, I do it for fun and well, the idea of me gambling doesn't really change but while in quarantine I just got tired of it though I still do my job properly. Yes I will stop gambling because of being afraid to get the virus, playing in real life casino is not advisable as of now, as what we are facing right now, it is really alarming because the virus can transfer so easily to you especially when you are around to the infected person, so what I do now is I play online gambling, even though it is not that so happy playing online gambling, I would still choose it compared to real life gambling to prevent interacting with other people.

Yes I will, there are already a lot of real life casino gambling that are temporarily banned by the authorities to avoid crowded places because the virus can easily transfer to the people especially if it is crowded places and as we all know real life casino gambling is always a crowded place. I prefer to play online gambling as of now to prevent interacting with other people.
