Bittrex Officially Announces New Features and Benefits for Users

Today, Bittrex has finally announced a wide variety of new benefits and features for traders. Some of the benefits include overall lower fees, a brand new referral program, several improvements on the interface of the website and mobile and more!

Centralized exchanges needs to improve all the time to remain in the top volume ranks. With DEX's getting more and more volume as of lately, expect to see a LOT of exchanges desperately trying to "add new improved features" to lure people in. Everyone wants decentralization at this point, we're done with exchange hacks, corrupt exchange leaders (Justin Sun/CZ) and the likes.

Blocknet is my personal favourite DEX right now, though need liquidity like a lot of other DEX's does. I'll be running a node very soon, ready for the next bull run, to catch those juicy trading fees.

Centralized exchanges will eventually die off, with DEX's taking over. Trust me. Might not happen this year, but it's happening.

Thanks for the update, I'm also one of the users of the exchange.  I traded there recently at a lower fee compared to what it used to be before.  This is a welcome development and I hope it will attract more users to the oldest crypto exchange.

They are so late they've basically lost the race. When people talk about altcoin exchange today,, they talk about Binance.
A couple of years ago there was quite a race between Bittrex and Poloniex (imho). Now they're both history.
And this is unfortunate, since Binance centralization is clearly not the best way to go forward. But traders go by the liquidity and.. yeah...

I'm glad to hear that Bittrex is introducing new futures. Menh this has been long overdue for them. Their exchange was supposed to be the best given the attraction they enjoyed in the past but that was given away to Binance. Bittrex you can keep improving the exchange to be on the same page with other competitors or to out perform them even.

I would say up the same thing where such changes or updates is already too late but hey, we wouldnt know if those previous Bittrex users would consider this one out again
or would just stick on where they are now which do mostly talks in Binance.They have lost the opportunity for them to get big yet they do able to get that kind of recognition
back in the past where they are one of the top ranking exchangers but they do lost up that momentum and lost their position as well.Its still possible to cling up though
but beating Binance is almost impossible.

I think this is a cry for help... these guys must have lost a number of their traders when they hijacked their accounts and demanded for KYC, and now with the centrallized exchanges loosing their momentum, they are trying to secure a business that is slipping away... DEX are here to stay (but also not 100% secure, by the way - cryptobridge)

I gave it a try after a long time use of Bittrex and i was amazed to see how this new features, most especially how the fee will be very useful for regular traders. It is an encouragement that will change te look of things now for Bittrex.
When I first came into the crypto space, the name Bittrex used to sound and look big, but at a point the law of diminishing return set in. i hope they gain back their lost glory.

As of today, Bittrex Global will accept Mastercard transactions by users looking to fund their exchange accounts.

Credit and debit cards are the most common payment method globally.

Accepting them is, in this modern day and age, virtually necessary to play any role of significance.

For the time being, Bittrex Global will accept this payment method from users in 36 countries

That means they want to get back on the top. IIRC,Bittrex was one of the top exchange in the past before the arrival of Binance but maybe they got so confident that they will be replace so they didn't see it coming that a new exchange will eventually bring them down.

I still have an account with Bittrex but I'm not anymore actively using it, hopefully time will come that their hype will come back again.

Bittrex lowering the transaction fee is a good move, it will gain a lot of traders as that is a good way to compete with the most popular exchanges now like Binance and Huobi.

As per the list in https://www.coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/, Bittrex is ranked number 8 with $49,314,638 trading volume, but if we look at the top 2 exchanges in the market, there's a big difference in terms of volume and it's very clear that both Binance and Huobi have been dominating the market as they both have over $4 billion trading volume, too big compared to Bittrex.

That's good, more options to buy crypto would be a good marketing on their side but personally I haven't tried that but I was able to withdraw my USD to my bank account which why I also like them as they have that kind of feature.

Binance are too much ahead on them. There update was already implemented on binance and there is a lot of cool features compared to them. There exchange too is not user friendly that's why I stop using them few years ago. I have some funds there that still lock on my account due to KYC issue.

I'm not expecting anymore on trex since the arrival of binance. I'd rather used kucoin than trex if ever there's only two exchange left in the world.

Wait, you did not comply the KYC requirement when they announce it?
I thought they given us a deadline to comply, I don't know what would happen to the balance of your account if you reach the deadline and you did not comply the KYC. Can you share about your experience?

There might be some theft that might be the owners of the exchange themselves stealing from their own customers hehehe.

there has been a lot of cases from accidental fuck ups where they revealed passport photos of their users down to them selling them on the internet. all can be found on the internet with quick search. some examples:

the mass scam is the case by the end of 2017 when bittrex was struggling to keep up with the competition and was losing a lot of money. overnight they decided to change their rules (which previously they had promised to not change or not affect the old users) without any warning or time for people to pull out of the scam exchange. basically they did 2 things: 1) downgraded a lot of accounts to force those users to submit KYC and even then not accept/verify a lot of them 2) closed a large number of accounts from certain countries which they never had any issue before and they were explicitly asked and they responded as such. that meant they stole millions of dollars worth of cryptocurrency from those users.

@pooya87. Was that issue not resolved after the users went through a KYC process? What did the users who had accounts deactivated and had a part of the millions frozen in Bittrex do? There should be a lawsuit.
