How do you guys verify the trades?

The trades are imported from the exchanges through API.
And the performance is calculated based on the verified trades.

Yes  similar to eToro, but one important difference. You do not have to move your funds to Altpocket, you can keep trading at the exchanges you prefer.

You can find traders to follow in the performance toplists and get notifications in your phone as soon as they make a trade.

Yes, we will build copy trading functionality in the future and also have other exciting “asset management” products in the pipe where we will help customers rebalance their portfolios.

Even now you will see the distribution of other portfolios and get notifications on trades, but you have to make the trade yourself.

Can't someone build a portfolio by doing demo trading and/or just by adding trades they are not trading themselves but giving a tip to others to trade (of course with a warning sign that this trade was not executed by the trader himself)? Can't that still be a way to build a portfolio if someone does not have enough capital to trade with?

Usually, a demo trade is not a genuine trade. So the genuity will not be there. For me, I won't like to follow someone's demo trade.
There is difference between a demo trade and live trade, at least seriousness is part of it.

If a person knows that s/he will be able to afford $100 to trade with in the near future and if s/he starts a demo account and trades with it as well as uses it to tip other traders, what's going to be wrong there? If s/he's damn serious about his/her play money, you'll definitely see him/her achieving his/her results and not just blah-blah talks. Another thing is, there are some demo accounts which give you the exact cut-to-cut price compared to the real ones, so the price factor also gets settled here.

Yes, good point. You can build a portfolio with Manual trades, but other users can filter on what is verified or manually added trades.

The toplists are based on verified trades only to be totally genuine.

Don't worry, you will not be following demo trades. The toplists are based on verified trades.

You can view a persons "demo" trades as well but filter them out if you want to and the performance on users is purely based on verified Transactions.

i have been looking for possible use of Etoro but what i am afraid is the transfer of funds and this feature of yours take my attention,because there is always an issue if the Funds needs to be transferred specially to new sites like yours so i think i have find the right one here.Thanks

I'm more concern about the API keys though, we have heard before that Binance was hacked thru their API keys.

What security measures are you guys implementing here? As hackers can get ahold of our API keys and then it's over for us?

And what data are other people going to see in our portfolio?

There has been some other copy trading places that does the same thing. I mean people could literally connect their API of the exchange of their preference so that they could basically do the exact same trades that the trader is doing while even asleep, there is no really word for it other than copy trading but it is like automated bots but does the moves of good traders instead of doing it based on indicators and such.

Still, it is a great product and everyone should check it out, I liked it, and I hope there will be thousands of traders there who will showboat their own trades and we can see really good traders and how they trade and why they trade so we can learn better, but to say that this is the first place is just factually wrong, this could be the best place, that could be true, but not the first place.

That's really nice, how do you even get the traders to share their position to others ?
would like to know if there are some feedback from users who have tried it and where do you get the API data from the top traders, is that even allowed ?

This is actually not a new idea, there are a few of these services out but they are mostly for forex or stock trading and can't find anything for crypto yet. However its smart because there are tons of new retail investors on bitcointalk or crypto twitter who follow people blindly and lose money.

Most people post that they "Long $3,000,000 at $5000" and it gets many peoples attentions because they seem like a whale. However they never provide actual proof. And then all of a sudden they have some "Signals trading" or "Trading course to offer". So your website would weed out many of these scams. And make sure you track performance like ratios of drawdown. Because when someone makes $1 million dollars but have 90% drawdowns all the time, then its obviously based on luck.
