He believed that that bitcoin market price is soon going to hit 100k$ valuation,and this would be sorrowful for someone that doesn't believed that bitcoin is worth buying.

Theres no such thing about experts when it comes to speculating of prices.Even an average joe would able to give out their own price predictions according to their observation.
This had always been our job ever since this market starts where we do keep on speculating on what would be its price on future.I would rather believe if these so called professionals or
popular persons would talk about reaching previous ATH but talking about 100k? This isnt really even realistic.

Even the professionals or analyst cannot predict the accurate movement of the market price of bitcoin in the market could be that their were just so many factors that is affecting the price of bitcoin in the market.
But still their speculation or prediction since they are popular people in the community that is supporting the bitcoin, I think it could be a huge impact and could affect the price of bitcoin in the future.

Still as the technology rise as years passing I think the bitcoin or cryptocurrency could be a big use for everyone all over the world and I could imagine that someday bitcoin will be a top currency.

I'm also a bitcoin enthusiast and I do believe with high prices but I have my but's and if's.

We don't know when but with the block halving, this will be the other factor that will help to push the prices up. But the effect that it will create, we don't have an idea when it will take place. Remember that bitcoin is always an speculative asset so expect that more of these speculations will come to encourage people that still don't hold it.

And also, many didn't believed that bitcoin will reach the heights of $10k-$20k or even the current price of $7k now during the early days.

Jimmy is using word "when", and it is very indefinite time, because it can happen in 1 year, but also in 10 years. There's nothing spectacular about his tweet, he's just another one in a row who uses his popularity to get some free promotion. People like him earn from going around and talking about Bitcoin&blockchain, and such predictions only make them more desirable to the audience.

I think in the first place you need to listen to your common sense, then you need to invest only the money you can afford to lose - no matter what anyone said about something.

Where specifically in the tweet did Jimmy Song said that it will hit $100k soon? He really didn't specify a date. Also, I'm pretty sure a lot of us here thinks that bitcoin could reach $100k. It's just a matter of when. It theoretically could mean multiple decades from now.

When BTC reached certain price points like 1,000$, 5,000$, 10,000$, and to it's all time high which is 19,000$ a lot of people are already saying that they have wasted a lot of opportunities to be rich. Yet even if these price points presented themselves they are either still not attracted to it or late to the action, the worst part is after they enter as a newbie they automatically will experience losses since they aren't prepared for the market. I know people like Jimmy Song with extreme positivity towards Bitcoin you will see opinions like this in the internet and I wouldn't consider it as a recommendation to buy more, remember that hype is something that made newbies lost their money so I wouldn't base my decisions to what he is saying especially if his tweet is to vague to pinpoint when Bitcoin will actually hit that number.

This kind of statement is bad for bitcoin.
Any potential investor will find out bitcoin dont have a new ATH for 26 months.
So they will look at this kind of statement, which predicts a price more than 10x the current one, and will understand that bitcoin is not a serious investment. Instead, they will look at it as a cult of lunatics.

These kind of "predictions" must stop. They will not convince people to buy in. Given the circunstances, it will have the opposite effect.
Also calling potential investors dumb "nocoiners" will not help to convince them to buy. Its time we get rid of this division, because right now there is a artificial "pandemic" being orchestrated by TPTB, and people will need some hedge against the caprices of governments.

It's really a bad idea to take investment advises from twitter, the format of this platform doesn't promote deep discussion or detailed posts. And it's also not a good idea to take advises from perma-bulls, they rarely explain why they make their predictions or where do they get the exact numbers, it's really just a guess. You can lose money even if Bitcoin grows if you make poor decisions like investing during a peak (because permabulls told it would grow more) and then panicking during a dip.

To be fair, I prefer this sort of "prediction" compared to most. Most predictions are like "$100,000 in 2021" or something like that; pretty much with an indicated time span. Whereas this one, he's pretty much just saying that it's going to reach $100,000 someday, which is a fairer forecast as it could literally mean that it will reach $100k in 1-99⁹⁹⁹⁹⁹ days.

I quite like the optimistic attitude. however, I have also seen people who predict the price of bitcoin can reach $ 2000 when the price is below $ 1000. When an anonymous guy posted about predicting the future bitcoin prices right back in 2011, some really felt it was an achievable target by considering the technology behind bitcoin and some really believed it might reach $1000+ in a futuristic era. After a 6 year of trading period, the price was double the predicted price. All these are literally based on the popularity and demand of bitcoin which was an achievable target.

Similarly $100k would be possibly achievable but they might take years or decades to reach the point. The trading, usability in real world, scalability all paves way for the transactions to speed up and to be an equal competitor to a system like Visa which process over 1500-1700 transactions per second. But when bitcoin reaches the limit, hodlers are the people who would rejoice and common people who still believe on alts and central bank currencies lose the opportunity.

Hal Finney predicted a price when he first got to know about bitcoin through Satoshi. At that point, bitcoin would replace global currencies and will be called up as a new sort of asset class and currency which would be used for global transactions. All we need is use cases for these predictions to become real at some point of time. What would be the use for people buying a piece of code if they weren't helpful at any point of time to them?

I wonder when is that soon cause as far as I can see it. The current btc market is at 6.2k level as of this moment, and probably will go beyond this. During lunch time in my country it was still at 7.5k but now the price keeps falling.

It's only sorrowful if people actually did consider buying it and just never did. Checked even his precious stock are all going to nowhere. We are now in global crisis due to the pandemic virus and even technical analysis has now been ineffective with people panicking around the globe.
