GOOD NEWS!!!
Within few days Ferengicoin web site will be updated and blog become available. This will be the place to start trading FER. In addition to that Reddit, Facebook and Twitter accounts has been created and soon deployed to help Ferengicoin become more popular! Once Ferengicoin become more popular it will be used and mined by more people. At the moment 2 pools are operational and more pools will join. Later, exchanges FER voting campaign will start, pushing coin into automated exchange sites.   Spread the word about Ferengicoin on forums and places that never heard of it yet. Use it for trades once we have our trading place to make it happen!

Just a reminder: to make node functional allow firewall connection on IP: 54.194.99.126, ports 11003, 21003 and Ferengicoin wallet application. Check if windows firewall is "on" under the layer of any other firewall that may be installed, such as Zone Alarm. I am working on setting up additional nodes, give me some time to accomplish this task and hopefully next week we will have more nodes running.
If wallet doesn't detect nodes rename ferengicoin.conf into coin.conf and place these command lines inside it:

daemon=1

rpcpassword=ferpass1
addnode=54.194.99.126

Pool setup 5,000 FER (five thousand) minimum coin pool uptime of 7 days required to qualify

- SHA-256 algorithm (just like Bitcoin to mine with ASIC, GPU or CPU)
- Block Rate (in seconds) 180
- Initial value per block 10,000 coins
- Block halving rate 50,000 blocks
- Maximum coins: 1,000,000,000 coins (1 billion coins)
- Target timespan (adjustment of difficulty) every 120 blocks
- Coinbase maturity 200 blocks for newly mined coins to become spendable (to avoid double spending of new coins)
-1% pre-mined

CPU mining: in the wallet open: help>debug window>console and type command:
setgenerate true
press Enter

or insert into coin.conf line (for automatic solo mining every time wallet starts without "setgenerate true" command):

to verify your hash rate type command:
getmininginfo
press Enter
check field value in "hashespersec"

to mine with GPU or ASIC use mining pool and bfgminer, cgminer or any other program

for GPU or ASIC solo mining use local machine address 127.0.0.1 or localhost for --url (-o), port number and --userpass=your FER address with any password or --userpass from coin.conf: ferengi:ferpass1

Newly mined coins require 200 blocks to become confirmed (coinbase maturity minimum until 200 blocks found will remain "immature")

Ferengi logic is beyond our imagination. They sense profit and take it, doesn't matter latinum, wine or even pathetic human encryption techs from 21st century.
