More or less we all are nuts in this forum and I just discovered a new one, possibly is trying to find something out of the unstable crypto market. Please check their post history:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2780700;sa=showPosts
Archive: http://archive.vn/wip/tMogr

It seems they are selling out corns on big offer I guess. Best part is that they are okay to send you first. I am just struggling to understand the tactics (scam) behind this.

Cheers,

He is demanding that payment must be in the form of an "evoucher". This is a very vague term. What kind of evoucher? Issued by which company? From which website? My guess would be that he wants you to buy an evoucher from a specific site, and will say that once you have proof you purchased the evoucher, he will send the coins first and you can then send the evoucher. The website he directs you to will obviously be a scam, owned and operated by him, and as soon as you purchase said evoucher, he will disappear.

This scenario is far too far to believe in its success, I don't think someone wants to buying a vocher risky from a website they don't know. Will some donkey accidentally pass by and get caught in a plastic trap?

A few days ago there were a couple of newbies asking advice because they had tried to buy something by sending some bitcoin to an unknown darknet site and lost their coins. We see users who send bitcoin to random addresses from twitter because they totally definitely promise they will definitely totally send more back in return. We see users who enter their seeds on random websites, trade with complete unknowns without escrow, send their web wallet login details to complete strangers, send money to brand new cloud mining sites/web wallets/exchanges/casinos/whatever, send money to HYIPs/doublers/Ponzis, download programs and software from any old site they find, and so on. There is no shortage of people who let their greed drown out what little common sense they have.

If these kinds of obvious scams weren't generating at least some profit for the scammers, then they wouldn't be happening so frequently. A fool and his money are soon parted.

That is totally possible but in this case, I really think he is just an idiot and he will probably ask first for a test transaction and scam 5 or 10$.
Remember GP who is dealing in million $ cases and ended up scamming 210 euros?

Btw, here's is his twitter account (now deleted) pinned message:

Quote
follow&Retweet plz🙏 A human who need help.Tweeter is my all hope.i request from all.please send me evoucher in any price you can. I need 2 M$ for important job

No doubt he is a scammer but I really think that setting up a website with payment channels is beyond his capabilities.

Finally I find a logic and I am happy with it.
I remember not long ago someone came to the forum and posted a topic which was something like this:
I want to but some bitcoin and all you need to do is just to proove that you have the bitcoin. Send the bitcoin to a paper wallet (he gave a link of website that generates paper wallet ) and sign a message using the address. Then he will send the payment first to you and you will give him the seed of the wallet.

He was always emphasizing on sending the money to the paper wallet that will be created using that website. It seems that case and this case of evoucher is very similar lol

Scammers are pretty mush smart but not enough though. Sad that they don't use the brain food good works.

My suspicion is he intends to trade with himself (his alt) so he can build trust with his alt accounts. If he has a successful trade with pretty much anyone, but especially with someone without a trading history, no trade actually took place.

I'm quite surprised that many people still don't know about cheap scams besides cryptocurrencies. Until now, ICOs were the only scam I found that it existed publicly and even accepted.
I checked the profile above and found that all posts were deleted, this user doesn't seem to be working anymore  Roll Eyes That's trolling
Wait what... Is he banned? What is the reason for being banned?

Wait what... Is he banned? What is the reason for being banned?
Can any of you tell me why this user is banned? or nuked? Although this user may seem crazy, what is the ban  Roll Eyes

Who cares really, he must have broke some rule or... Some mod is trigger happy. Roll Eyes

Not really understanding the reason behind the ban  Roll Eyes
But I have a new one to update here for everyone  Wink (Hopefully publicizing private messages on Telegram is not a prohibited act  Cheesy)
I have a topic of buying BTC in Currency Exchange, maybe the messages below appear when he sees my topic

So what is the scam method here? Is he pretending to be a victim to refuse the "send first" that he suggested earlier  Cheesy In the opposite situation, he asked me to deposit at least $ 1,000 in advance in the evoucher, but he didn't even mention the type of evoucher he needed.
Do you know any hospitals that accept evouchers? This sounds ridiculous  Undecided He said that it was not his telegram account, he deleted the avatar. But when I woke up, probably because my phone was not up to date, I saw his avt was a picture of father and son. It seemed to be an attempt to change the avt to make sense to the story, but was later deleted because of a contact request via mail  Roll Eyes

Which scam looks pretty boring  Undecided I was expecting something more attractive

snip

He's going for the old  " I'll send you 1000 $ but to show you're trustworthy you need to send me 50 $ first " method.
Usually this kind of methods are clinging more to the leding type of scams , where scammers prey on desperate people that need to money  and are actually willing to send first a small $ amount to receive what they need.

Possibly he's assuming that someone who has the funds to buy/sell 200 + BTC as he advertises to sell , is stupid enough to fall for this type of scam.
