I disagree, though you have a point but not exactly correct. When you fins yourself doing the same thing over and over again every single day even with limitations, it could be consider as addiction, mild addiction. Yes, addiction have many phases, you'll start at stage 1 to stage 4 of it when you don't change your mindset about gambling. If you're thinking you're not addicted, then you're already in trouble by thinking that way.

In order to evade the lust that gambling emits to attract us to play, we must give ourselves some time to think about every decisions we are going to execute, especially in gambling.

Gambling is something weird if you ask me.
Look at this, You win you want to keep playing thinking you might win more and if you lose you will also keep playing thinking you will , win back your money or breakeven maybe even walk away with profit, I guess this is were the saying of "the house always wins " comes from because they have everyone glued and how the road to addiction is drawn

Because everyone has no same capacity, unfortunately. The people have a different immune system and the Corona wins the battle, the same comparison is correct for the gambling addicts. The luck-based gambling is the basement of the house edge and beating the house edge is not possible, in my opinion.

I believe that the reasons lie deep in childhood.
In children whose parents deprived attention, they did not raise and incorrectly expressed their love, complexes and psychological traumas can develop.

There's a case for that some being addicted to gambling because of did not raise well by love ones. Gambling is everywhere so  people become addicted to it because of the chance to earn big and at the same time it gives and entertainment. Also lack of guidance from love ones that leads to addiction.

I just came to this thread and realize how much of the users will be talking about this but it seems there are more others reasons to give, but the fact that it has a relation on money then it really is a fact to be considered as the main reason.
