Why there are so many people who get addicted on gambling?

It all depends on the persons mindset, mate. Addiction is a habit that is difficult to stop, but by having a lot of money people may not need to bet on the assumption that they have the capacity and financial ability to develop their gambling habits into business areas such as building physical casinos or developing gambling sites.

Whatever the reason, gambling might help someone to get entertainment and pleasure, but besides gambling, a businessman can also easily entertain themselves because they have enough financial strength.

People do possess their own reasons why they choose to get addicted into playing gambling. Maybe there is a tingling sensation inside of them whenever they tend to play gambling which makes them wanting more. Maybe there could be just reasons like they have the urge to try retrieving or winning back what they have loss while playing and that leads them to turns out to get addicted on playing gambling. Others might have get into greed of wanting more that enough and they see playing gambling as an outlet to set themselves free. We cannot totally state or conclude that a person do share only a single reason why they get addicted on playing gambling because all have their own unique reasons why they have ended into such situation. What they have been in common is that they did not resist and fall out on getting addicted into playing gambling which supposedly you need to have a control since it is just a game that people play and must not let the game control you so that you can still have the strength to resist being addicted on it.

Basically those who are addicted to gambling occur because at first they have money that can be spent even though it is not a lot of money and when the first bet loses, they will continue to gamble maybe out of curiosity and ambition to win gambling and finally and maybe also unwittingly, they feel has gained comfort and enjoyment when gambling so that gambling is no longer a choice but a lifestyle.

Just to give an example I know someone who gambled for 30 years because he just had a very good business who didn't need him, he was the boss but there was managers and so forth and he didn't had to go to work, he had a office at the top of the building so all he did was gamble for 30 years. 4-5 years ago he started this collective of group or whatever its called and hasn't gambled since that moment.

There are also things that can be prioritize. And also it can be more expensive that being an addict to gambling LoL.

It has to be something with being bored I am sure. There are so many people who have nothing else to attach to and that results with them being addicted to gambling because they are basically feeling like they are doing something finally and actually spending their time with quality but in reality they are hurting themselves. There was basically nothing in the world that would help them to spend time better and they got addicted to it.

Well, 30 years of gambling is really a long time. Obviously that person has strong character if he didn't develope addiction.
The question why people become gambling addicts is similar why they become drug or alcohol addicts, there is no simple and unique explanation, each person is functioning on different ways.
However,  when gambling adrenalin and hunger for money that people can't control very often lead to  addiction and many players are not even aware of thst.

Awareness does not mean people can easily control themselves or do the right thing.
I believe most gamblers are aware of the risk, and some even are aware that they are already addicted to it, however, they are just not strong enough to kill that addiction so it leads to a bigger problem, from slight addiction which suppose to be can easily stop and it grows into a serious one.

This means not everyone has the discipline in gambling, so without discipline, we should probably prevent from doing it than go for a cure when addicted.

Self-control is always a hard thing. You must know that every time you try to control yourself, then it is never easy to do, ex: trying to avoid junk foods. However, as self-control is an important thing to have, we must struggle to do it. It is the key to prevent you from severe losses.

Yep, it is the same as self-control, something not easy to do. But we surely can do it if we are committed to what we have planned. We must be aware that the advantage of discipline is for our own good not for others.

They're probably got bored with gambling, they might have switched to other stuff that also involves money.
As we all know, rich people are too obsessed with money. In every step they make, there's always money down the line. They usually didn't let a second slip without involving money. So, I find rich gamblers not an addict, instead gambling is their way of leisure, money doesn't matter to them while gambling, because they can always reproduce what they have lost.

At first they are just there to relax have fun, but as same old story goes, once you get started its really hard to change , specially if you are hook, many people try it for fun, but failed, i have friends that has same results, from just fun to gambling addiction

It's really that hard to address the issues like this which is why some governments are banning gambling, they know how it can affect the person and how many families suffer from these problems. The Chinese or Russian government knew gambling problems for their citizens will cause broken families or worse this is why they ban gambling. But it's fun and its a lucrative business too.

Excitement, excitement, excitement... when you give it a thought it's the same what get you addicted on everything else! Drugs, fast cars (speed), alcohol, sex, or any other fetish you can think of! In one point the excitement you get from whatever you are doing can't be achieved with anything else except that! It's the point where you get hooked, where nothing else exist except that and the feeling of excitement you can get from that, and you are ready to risk your life for that, not just money!
After, after, after years of doing what you do you need to pay the toll! It will eat you in some way and you will have to pay for that, if you survive of course, some don't! Many get eaten along the way, they didn't have what it takes to survive the game, whatever the game is!

Gambling is also banned in India by the gov. But only banning does not seems to be enough to restrict people from gambling. people still some how manages to gamble. Greed is the main cause why the people use to gamble.

Some of the gamblers are continuing to gamble after their first loss on gambling because they want to get their money back.
Some gamblers think of this way that is why they are losing more and more money as they continue to gamble. They can't control themselves as they gamble and maybe out of curiosity too that they continue to gamble.
Desire to win money in a quick way is the reason that I see why most of the people are addicted to gambling.

We all want money right. What more if we can get it in a quick. We don't need to work 8 hours a day just to get a minimum wage. Yes gambling can change your life but it can make it miserable too. People tend to get addicted into gambling because they can't help themselves whenever they are losing. If they are winning, chances are they will gamble more and more and as they spend more time in gambling the higher chances for them to get addicted into it. These people don't have the discipline to stop whenever they are losing or winning. There is no bad thing when you are gambling but you must gamble with moderation and spend a small amount only if you can't take your losses.

For me, if anyone plays excessive gambling he is likely to get addicted or is already addicted to gambling.

I agree, no more discussion but it is because of being greedy and the desire to make money in gambling. If it is all about being entertained, I don't think that they will last longer without having the said reason.

Even if they will be treated or someone helped them, it is not enough. Getting out from addiction will always be a choice, a person will not get rid of his addiction if he won't choose it in the first place.

I guess maybe some of your friends got lucky and won themselves some money when they starts gambling for fun, and since the money won from gambling comes much faster and easier as compared to work, some people might start to gamble more often until they got themselves addicted to gambling without realizing it themselves.
