Probably you already know that telegram platform is widely use in cryptocurrency. Their are so many cryptocurrency group or team that uses telegram for sharing information.

2. TradingView

If you want to be a trader or invest in bitcoin for a long term investment your gonna need to have a deep understanding of the trading view, become a analyst

3. Google Authenticator

A second layer security to make your cryptocurrency accounts more secured.

4. Ledger or Trezor

Probably one of the best cold storage to keep your funds especially for a long term investment.

5. Twitter

If you want to stay informed to the latest cryptocurrency news you could finds it on twitter.

I don't see how using Telegram or Twitter can help with investing in BTC, when it is already well known that these platforms serve as tools for more and more scams related to crypto. For these platforms to be useful, anyone who uses them should know how to recognize the good from the bad opportunity, the bad from the good person. If that is not the case, it is better not to use them at all.

I agree that hardware wallets, and 2FA is something that definitely increases our security when it comes to crypto, but only if we use them in the recommended/correct way. Buying hardware wallet, send coins there and save seed in your desktop or e-mail is a move that completely undoes the whole purpose of using such device.

The first thing that comes to my mind about Telegram is Pump and Dump groups. So easy to manipulate those little sheeps. 🐑

Telegram cannot contribute or help in trading success, it's just an app, yes it's more crypto friendly than other apps, but I see no benefit to be derived from it, the opposite is many times the case, those groups you are referring to on telegram are mostly fake groups with fake signals and they just want to make money, asking people to pay for signals that are just hinged on luck.

If you want to stay informed to the latest cryptocurrency news you could finds it on twitter.

I'll prefer to get information on this forum(BTT)than on twitter, there are a lot of distorted/spurious information there.

Telegram is no different as an application for communication media, only in that application there are bots that can real-time know the latest prices of Crypto.
But I didn't put a telegram on the list like the OP said.

Because scammers often use the application to fool other bitcoiners.

As for finding information related to Crypto, I prefer to search on well-known sites such as cointelegraph, etc.

As the other members said, telegram and twitter should not be on this list. Personally, every day someone pm me in telegram about a new investment lol. So, I started wasting their time by pretending to have no idea. Also, most of the altcoins groups are raided by bots saying 'hello' 'hi, good project'. it's really hard to find some constructive discussion or even something useful to read. better stick to bitcointalk!

Some tools listed may be useful for some but it's kinda confusing and some misunderstanding with "investing in bitcoin" since if you want to invest, you just buy and hold that for long term.
Tradingview is for trading, 2FA is for some online accounts, like exchange, telegram? twitter?
The hardware wallet seems to be more useful among the others.

I wonder why Telegram should be first on your list, and not this forum which is older and has more complex and credible articles/discussions on investment.
In addition, Telegram and Twitter aren't enough to help and are very risky because there will be no one to protect you (at least warn) earlier than scam offers and help find a reliable solution if that happens.

Most of them have been paid to promote some coins, If you are familiar with the ICO rating site that has been popular last 2018, that was their case now. Some pages are meant to promote some shit coins and some promote dead coins. The number one site you can use to help you with Bitcoin is this site. you can find everything you need here that will help you understand everything including the advance information to make you a Bitcoin expert.

I already use the image of blockfolio in Twitter which is a great application where you could monitor the movement of Cryptocurrency like bitcoin, Ethereum etc. Most of the trusted websites in cryptocurrency is updating through the Twitter platform, for sure your not going to trust the updates from a scam websites therefore you could justs followed the websites that is trusted. I'm sure twitter is a reliable platform it was not just because their are scammer in the platform doesn't mean it was not a great platform, even telegram platform has a lot of scam users in it but still uses as a great platform for sharing information.

I agree somehow, they were toxic in a sense that huge names without enough crypto knowledge or even just random people fearlessly say that "bitcoin is a scam", "it was a bubble, don't invest". So if you are just a beginner and get easily influence by others then most probably you will also be deceived and now got a bad impressiin against cryptocurrency.

I already stopped using those apps. I choose to rely here in our forun when it comes to the freshest news about crypto world .

I don't recommend Google authenticator, it has no security whatsoever and it's pain to restore when you change your device.

I become a victims of fake signal from telegram and my friends become a victims of telegram group ICO's. After that i'm stay away from telegram signal and ICO reviews. But, if you want to join on group related with crypto investment you need to know who member behind. If you don't know any member on that group, so don't trust them. Better to use this forum than using telegram group

This list is way too broad. There's no limitation on 'tools' and in what way you define 'help'. If this is the case, you can even add another 10 website like CMC, Google, or even Spotify (help you get in the mood by listening to music).

OP, don't 'copy-paste' an article from a famous source if it doesn't make any sense. Make your own list.

By reading the topic, the first thing that comes to mind is a list of most trusted crypto exchanges. I think you must change it to something like 5 Must-be-Familiar Tools Before Going into Crypto World. Also the third 'tool' is written Google Authenticator not Authticator

Signals shared to telegram groups are often disastrous for a group of people who invest in cryptocurrency. Trusting these signals without doing your own analysis is one of the careless things to invest. Cryptocurrency investments are very risky and if we want to try to enter the zone we must be prepared with all these risks.

The ongoing ICO project very often makes investors lose money because the reality is not in line with expectations. When I was active as a bounty hunter, I also felt the same and I never felt the sweetness of hope when the campaign ended. 2018 and 2019 are the years when many ICOs failed and ended in scam and it is possible that many investors also drowned by it.

I do not think that Telegram and Twitter will be useful for a beginner as there is a lot of information that is published only to manipulate the price of Bitcoin. It has been noticed more than once that many people known in the cryptocurrency world give false information through their social networks which very often leads to the loss of trusting beginners.

All other tools really do bring some benefit.
