The first thing to know is that, this market is not friendly at all neither is it the way it's used to be and that is as a result of this virus spreading faster with no cure, so there is panic everywhere and people are now cautious of their money. So in my own opinion, people will go for coins which have a faster rate of growth or recovery and these coins must be backed by a strong community and team to achieve such. With this, I can say BNB, XLM and ETH fits into this category, all have good team and community.

Everyone knows that the time of crisis is the best time to buy.
Before the strong fall in the price of Bitcoin, I sold my coins and then managed to buy them back at a much lower price. Now I have money left for additional investments and I am thinking of spending it on bitcoins to average out in case of a fall in the price or better to buy other coins. What kind of altcoins do you think will grow in price faster if the market recovers? I am more interested in your reasoned opinion than the name of a simple coin name.

You can just refer to their graph like 2-3 months of graph upon the increase of their prices so you have idea what coin/currencies to buy and hold. But most of the top 10 currencies are the safest and will likely to grow faster compare to the lower rank currencies because they are popular and the investors will feel safe upon investing to them.

Just make sure that you are comfortable with your investment so you don't have to worry in the long run and I saw that you have a good experience already. You can just continue it or you can explore to other currencies that are in lower rank by investing a little amount and see whether it will give you a good amount of ROI compare to the top 10 currencies.

only ETH, I think that's the best. if you can't choose the only bitcoin, then add ethereum to it. it is already very good for the altcoin. I don't recommend holding down LINK, but if you need another altcoin, you only need to choose altcoin from the top 10. don't put yourself at greater risk when the opportunity is before your eyes.

Wee it is given according to the majority of answers are pointing to ETHEREUM and i think it is reasonable to expect this one.
the Ethereum 2.0 is caliming to be released this year so after the crisis(if this will end this 3rd or 2nd quarter) by 4th quarter we will taste the effect of bitcoin Halving and the coming of this 2.0 version meaning too many expected growth will be on ethereums way.
so yeah for me it is ETH also but second is Binance or EOS.

Yep, I Agree with this alot. Typically when people look for projects to invest in, they check CMC. Pretty much all of the coins listed on high volume exchanges such as Binance should have some good movement. Coins like LTC and others that are tied to bitcoin also tend to do especially well during peaks (and fall during troughs).

personally the only lesser known altcoins who I think will make it through this pandemic, are the ones with bigger plans than just being on exchanges.
Like TEM for example, they have an LOI with Anguilla to provide them with a national digital currency and deals with more countries in the works.
This pandemic will cause most IEOs and ICOs to fail but TEM never did that, privately funded and eyes on the future.

The market is not stable, so it will be difficult to say in advance, but I believe that when the covid-19 is over, all financial markets will surely grow again. I consider this a very good opportunity to invest in some potential projects because these coins are currently very cheap. Im certain that one of the altcons who will have a faster growth is eth since it always happen. Bitcoin has an influence for the the price of alt so if we see a price increase for btc we can expect alts to follow.
