it must, if you save crypto assets that do not have a price development then it is better to sell then replace with another top crypto. right now I still keep some of the top altcoins and would rather wait until the market fully recovers and the price of crypto returns significantly.

The market is still in a recovery phase so there are still chances to buy more potential altcoins and bitcoin that will surely grow from long term holding. If we have hold altcoins already, i guess holding it even more will not make us lose so better not to sell them today.

you're right, sooner or later, the price will definitely be higher. apart from that, it looks like the price of bitcoin also maintains its balance at the current price of $ 6k. that makes me pretty sure that this is a good enough opportunity to hold and own altcoin. although the main priority is bitcoin, I think having a popular altcoin also has the same or even greater potential than bitcoin when prices start to recover quickly. so, I chose to hold popular altcoins like ethereum for now.

Totally agreed on this. You also can short altcoins since the situation is not disastrous and you can predict when there will be a little pump.
But mainly you want to hodl on or reconsider investments in general

It was too late for me to sell the ETH I was holding, a few weeks ago I bought some ETH to hold but unfortunately, its price had collapsed and now I have lost more than 40%. Now that I continue to hold it and wait for the market, it may be a long time before I can get my profits back.

As long as you dont sell your eth then you're not losing your money. Wait for a price increase, it might take a long period but for sure it will bounce back. Im holding eth as well and didnt expect the price to decline, I thought this year is good for crypto because of the event that can change the movement of the market. But its really unpredicted, lets just wait for another bullish market.

You're right, if we haven't sold then we haven't lost. The current loss is only temporary and when the market recovers he will surely be happy for the profits he has made from investing in ETH. And of course he must have enough patience to wait until it happens

It's not yet. Crypto has a very big chance to recover from the dump and it's happening right now. Im still seeing my portfolios are also moving into the right way. My loses is changing into the profit right now.

It's not yet. Crypto has a very big chance to recover from the dump and it's happening right now. Im still seeing my portfolios are also moving into the right way. My loses is changing into the profit right now.

that could happen if we hold good coins only, but for shittoken or coins we will loss our money if keep hold while market crashing. in this condition only major coins and project that have usefull product able to exist in market , and another project will die . traders and investors prefer to hold major coins, it will give them certainity.

For example digital currencies such as Tem which are actively in talks with governments to provide them with a national digital currency are going to come out of this stronger than ever.
I can see TEM going $1+ when the economy settles and announcements about partnerships with governments are announced.

You need to reassess your position knowing all the possibilities you'll be able to cut your loses and try position yourself back and recover,
though it's another risky move but if successfully escalated your chance to earn or recover back is really high.
Hold if you do trust the project and you still see the progress out from the developing teams.

Holding some of the best coins in the market is not wrong and as we know those coins can give huge profits during a bull market, holding other coins however can be very risky, but if you took your time doing your due diligence then that is fine, but the problem is that most newbies never do anything like that and just invest in a coin based on their hype or what they read on social media and it is clear as day that is a bad idea that will soon make them lose their money.

Indeed, newbis are the type of people to follow trend due to lack of experience and knowledhe towards what altcoin should you put your money in but i think its part of their growth, they need to experience it to learn it.
Well for me i am not holding so much altcoins, my top altcoins now in my portfolio are ETH, XRP and LTC, i have other few but i am not into it as much as i do with those e altcoins i have mentioned.

While losing money is something that every investor and trader has to go through at the same time we cannot afford to lose money at every single opportunity since our funds are not unlimited, I have lost money but I have learned great lessons form each one of those instances and became a much better investor and trader because of it, but what is a newbie going to learn when he losses his money by investing in bad coins? He will learn to avoid those coins, but that is knowledge that he could have acquired in the forum for free without the need to lose money over that lesson.

What are you holding? and what will you do?

The Altcoins market in my opinion was surely a great investment for a short term. But I guess you could easily make profit in altcoins as long as you could choose the right token to invest to.
But at this moment the best thing to do is to invest in the dump market surely the best choices of investment would be in bitcoin because still the demand of bitcoin was high even if it would do a lot of dumps in the market it would not matter since it would recover easily at any matter.

Solid project where investors are still investing are coins that you can hold for more months or up to a year, there are always potentials that this top rated coins will go up when bitcoin start to rally back. Sentiments of all cryptos are relying still with bitcoin so better to buy and hold only those who are still on it ground surviving the bear seasons.
You can sell those coins that are not performing then invest with good coins that currently low in price.

Instead of selling at lower prices, I prefer to HODL altcoins. The whole market is in the recession period, fixing the market conditions will take time. I prefer to wait a few more years and see what will happen next.

I hold several altcoins that i found interesting because their project.
If you confused whether you want to hold or not, just find out about how good is their project friend,
you will know that you must hold the coin or just sell and find other coins to hold.

What's your main point. I believe you are still holding altcoin caused by you are believing in the project. Im still holding altcoin too. Some people may feel skeptical about that but whatever they said about that as long as i still in the decent profit and im still holding it. Just hold based on use case and fundamental of the project.

It depends on how profitable you want to be. If you want stable profit, just buy top tier cryptos (Bitcoin, ether, litecoin, Binance, etc) and ride the wave as Bitcoin pulls them all up. The crypto market now is completely driven by hype, and especially hype tied to Bitcoin. I personally hold ether, Bitcoin, finance, because I think Bitcoin drives growth, ether tags with Bitcoin but performs better, and binance is just severely undervalued.

I agree that most of the top coins are the best way to go when buying Altcoins however there are others where we can profit from. Masternodes can be a great way but you must buy the right ones with good products backing them as they seem to perform the best when Bitcoin starts to fall. NRG, Flits and Midas have performed very well in the past couple of months just to name a few to look out for. There are a lot of scams out there as well so just be careful when looking to get into masternodes.

I think as coronavirus rise our, it doesn't take time to vanished. We will see suddenly this effect will gone because of lock down. This is the to buy more token. Although I bought as much as I can, I didn't know about this coronavirus effect. I'm sure more crashing couldn't happen because another virus won't attack in our world. Top coin always safe, sometimes you should take some risk.

But we cannot determine how long will it takes to totally over this pandemic so we cannot determine when the market will return back.  The world is totally in chaos while the market is down and this should be an anvantage for buying valuable altcoin. Its time we can add and hold altcoins in our portfolio. Buy some alts that can be a big thing in the future not how cheap the coins is. Holding altcoins will be a great strategy but medium risk.

I avoid altcoins that have no price development at all and would rather sell at a loss (should) rather than stick with junk altcoin. I have converted some of these altcoins and replaced them with BTC to get a safe investment.

What do you mean previously, like before or after this Corona situation? The market was very volatile for the last 14 days, so i believe it is very dangerous tod daily trade.

In 2017 and 2018 I tried to become a daily trader but I couldn't afford to do that, after continuously losing money I decided to become a long-term holder.
Currently my biggest goal is to try to increase my bitcoins.
