Trump has been attacking China for a quiet a while now, and just when it seemed that peace was restored between these two nations (referring to the trade deal) the statement made by China has rattled Trump who’s decided to openly attack China.

When did patient zero begin in US? How many people are infected? What are the names of the hospitals? It might be US army who brought the epidemic to Wuhan. Be transparent! Make public your data! US owe us an explanation!" the Foreign Ministry official said.

Now Trump is openly terming COVID-19 as Chinese Virus, and I won’t be surprised if he implements fresh sanctions on China or completely change the trade deal that he had negotiated with them. I’m ruling out the possibility of an outright war, as that can’t happen but I have a very bad feeling that he’s planning something big that’ll disrupt China and US relations for a very long time. Anyone else has any other theories regarding this, or what kind of measures can Trump take to punish China?.

Why would you rule out all out war? OF course it could happen and highly likely it will at some point if China continues to expand as a world power. There's no way the US will allow itself to be relegated to #2. History has shown time and time again that war is the inevitable outcome.

Juggy, you know it'd be nice to mention here that when you're saying that 'Trump is attacking China' he's not using the US military to bomb chinese cities or anything like that, he's literally just bashing them in the media for the bad things that they're doing. As they should be. By the way, China does the same exact thing to the US every single day in their state run media (it's something that every country does, not with their allies, but with their adversaries)

China did botch this by the way, there have been many reports saying that if China hadn't tried to hide this it wouldn't have been this bad. But China being China is what led us into this being as bad as it is now.

I would expect China to offer up Reparations to hard-hit countries such as Italy, and countries whose economies took an especially hard hit, such as the US. Absent Reparations, I would expect that calls for war against China throughout Europe, and in much of the world would be too strong for governments to stop.

I suspect the Chinese propaganda is aimed at deflecting the blame for their covering up the initial outbreak, and to install doubt as to who is actually to blame for all the damage.

More and more people around the world are starting to call this the American virus.  This because on one side there is increasing scientific evidence that the first exposure was not in China (and certainly not in a market in Wuhan) and on the other side you have assertions from the likes of Trump and Pompeo with no evidence whatsoever.  Kinda like the Assad's 'chemical weapons attacks' which are clearly non-existant, or Saddam's 'weapons of mass destruction' which was similarly a lie.

I don't think you'll probably have a problem with (educated) people around the world calling this the American virus, right?  How about the 'Spanish Flu' which had nothing to do with Spain and got it's name because of war time censorship and propaganda (and, parenthetically, looks like it wasn't a flu but a nasty concoction cooked up the the Rockefeller Institute while they were (reportedly) trying to make vaccines from horse puss.)

I hope that that something will end quickly as soon as it begins. I think that politics is a very volatile and uneven playing field for people to just simply join. We all know that this bad blood has gone on for a long time since the time of Mao and Stalin, and I think that the reason that this banter is still going from hot and cold overtime is that each country participating are trying their best to protect the best interest of their people and their country.

Covid19 is one of the best moments to blame the current economic situation. And he needs a scapegoat for this situation. And one thing, the economic recession this year is almost similar to the economic recession in 2011 (although the impact is not too large as it is today).
