If you have to ask this question at all, I have serious advice for you: don't do it. Margin trading is not something you do "just like that", it requires a huge portion of experience and, above all, capital. You will lose a lot and especially very quickly, especially at the beginning, so the experience needed to trade at this level must be bought very expensive.
There was a Twitter bot called "REKT" which trolled people who lost a ton of money at BITMEX. The bot itself is suspended afaik, but you can read some of the messages the bot posted
here. The bot should be seen as a huge warning sign that a massive loss can happen as soon as someone starts to margin trade:
The REKT account is part schadenfreude, part warning: trading cryptocurrency is risky, and people can lose large sums of money. On Bitmex, the risk is even higher since people are able to trade on margin, meaning they can borrow money from the exchange by putting down a bit of collateral.
If you still want to try it anyway, I would advise you to start with very (!) small amounts, at a maximum 1% of your total trading capital. This way you can get over losses and still gain the necessary experience. I would only increase this amount after months of successful trading, never immediately after 1-2 lucky trades. Just my opinion as someone who had to learn those lessons already
