Trump claims China’s Virus numbers ain’t true!!!

As of writing this post it’s with extreme sadness that I post here that US has over taken China in the number of the cases, and when Trump was asked about this he replied that China is deliberately hiding it’s real numbers. Now this is of course debatable but I don’t get it why would China hide it’s real numbers, or is there any specific reason why they’re doing it and Trump knows this? Also it’s pertinent to note that Trump spoke with Xi and now he has tweeted that Xi and he will work closely on how to deal with this virus, and I sincerely hope that these two super powers can finally bring a cure for the world.

I have doubt about China's report. We know, China is very strict for broadcasting the news. That's why they repulse all international news reporters. I think they are hiding something from the world. But one day it could be a leak or maybe not.

I believe that Trump is correct.
At least in the beginning of the outbreak they didn't reveal the exact numbers leading to unprepared situation for other nations around the world. They were claiming that the virus was controlled in Wuhan but see what it is happening right now...

The POTUS is only trying to downplay the rapid increase of confirmed cases in the US. Whether the Chinese government is hiding the true figures or not shouldn't matter in this case. I don't think it is wise for him to compare numbers with other countries right now. The citizens are more concerned about how his government will handle the pandemic in an efficient and effective manner.

The reason that they hide their numbers if this is true, is because they don't want people to panic that the number reached a scale so large, plus they are tying to make face for the world that they are fighting the pandemic efficiently and responsibley. This could be true becaue China is known to suppress information that will go out in the global stage, remember Tianamen Square Massacre? How come China handled situation much better than Italy and USA which both had several weeks to prepare for the epidemic but the rate of spreading is faster than in China despite smaller population. Trump is just pointing fingers because he realized that situation in his own country went out of control and now he needs someone to blame.
China literally closed their citizens to their homes until the virus stopped spreading, while most of USA is still not under quarantine and virus is spreading freely and situation is getting worse and worse.

if a country had a previous virus and didn't learn to take prevention in the future, then forget to have control at 1st stage.

Exactly! As much as possible they want to control what's their real status.
But it has blown up because the virus got out of their country and spreading fast.
And so many articles discussing that someone's relative claiming that their relative's death due to corona has not been accounted for.

As to that question i think there was a news about a doctor's story that's been leaked by a whistleblowers that's been roaming in social media about china's real situation and before the virus spread and could get worse. The doctor tried to warn people and chinese government about this deadly disease. But instead of preventing it, they've locked the guy away that also contracted the disease, resulting for him to die.

the stats are not and have never been an accurate scope of total population.
no country has accurate scope

most countries are telling people with just low symptoms to stay home untested unreported.
most countries are not testing every patient with mild symptoms
the patients that are getting tested are those in hospital and in critical condition in most cases

this does make a stat sway to make it look like there is a 6% death rate for everyone.
the real context is 6% death rate for those in critical condition.
if you look at wuhan a population of 11m only a few thousand actually died.
this is not even 1% death rate of total population

so yea take any stat OF ANY country into the context of what the tests show and how the tests were done.

dont treat it as a sign that china its a +1% death risk for all (10k+ per million pop)
actual signs are more like china has a 2 person per million and USA has 7pm and italy has 166

buteven with just the half a dozen to couple hundred per mill
all numbers are more like 6 per million death rate. which the death vs case confirmed is swayed more by the limited amount of testing on just the critical. or lack of testing at all. or testing random people beyond just the critical


take the UK for instance that as long as the hospitals can cope and treat people they see a 20k death target.
which is ~0.03% or eventually 270/1m pop

Sigh -- I'm going to assume until proven otherwise that their info is bullshit. this is because not everyone is tested.
also some people who stay home when having mild symptoms may progress to respiratory distress and die at home, unrecorded.
this is the case for all countries

Oh I'm alleging that every other country is right in their numbers or that China is hiding their numbers by only one test or something. I think that people in China are being tested, and that the Chinese government isn't reporting properly on their numbers. I think they're HIDING people that have been confirmed as positive for the coronavirus.

You're right when you say that not everyone in every country has been tested. That's true. But at least in the US they're trying their best to supply the demand for these tests, and people are being tested (this wasn't the case at first, but it is the case now) Cases are being reported, and they're not being hidden from the public.

I think China is HIDING test from the public. Wouldn't be the first time in just this particular scandal.

here is a rational thought.

when wuhan went into total self isolation yea the numbers subsided.. thats the plan. the same plan for all countries.
what is not being said on news is that there WILL be another wave. once people start leaving their homes and mingling with others again.
WHO have said it. heck even many governments have said it

self isolation is not to irradicate the virus from existance. but to curb the spike and stop everyone getting it at same time.
expect numbers to plummet and then go up again.. just expect a 2 week gap.

dont treat this as the end of the virus for china and that if it does appear again then it was some conspiracy to hide numbers. but instead treat it as what every rational person knows and WHO have said for months to have the virus spread in waves instead of a spike so that it doesnt put too much strain on healthcare in one go

and expect the wave pattern for every country.

easy way to tell. is by the hospitals.
yep the hospitals have seen a decrease in occupied beds. so to me this shows china is on the downcurve of the first wave

you can try hiding the paperwork via edited emails. but you cant hide the occupied beds seen with actual eyes of many different doctors and patients coming in and out

what is know is that everyone eventually symptomatically or asymptomatically will get it.
just not all in one go

china actually made dedicated hospitals to separate corona patients from patients with other issues. so that the cross contamination was lower.
UK and america didnt do that. heck america and UK are saying they still have a few weeks until they have a ready to use specialised temporary hospital purely for corona patients

so exepct once UK/US first wave to end the second wave will be just as big

anyway.
if you check the news and many many many others sources inside and outside of wuhan. you will see that they have close down the specialist hospitals built purely for corona..
why.. because they no longer have patients in them because they dont need the excess.
if there were many people struggling to breath and dying. the hospitals would be full

all i can see happening is a big possibility that it will make a re-surgance and kick up again within a month
